Everyone in the path of Isaias please be careful and check in when you can. Hopefully it's just a blow and go, but dang it looks like it is just nailing the whole eastern US coastline. 🤞🏼

Keeping my fingers crossed that it goes more easterly out into the Atlantic ocean.

Live in SW Connecticut and we'll be affected starting later in the day Monday. Right now it could be a hurricane, tropical storm, or just rain by the time it gets here. Also the intensity will depend on the path it takes and whether it veers east or west.

yep. I'm inland in VA and it always depends on the track. We are watching and waiting. So sad to hear about PR, I haven't heard the news.

Hudson Valley NY and possible effects on late Monday/Tuesday.
If it's predicted to be really bad we will take the chickens into the basement. I have stuff to set up an indoor pen---collapsible dog pen fencing, tarp for the floor, bird netting to go over it all. I'll spread pine chips on the tarp and give them a cardboard nesting box. They will NOT be happy but if there's going to be high winds and the possibility of trees coming down they will be removed from their coop/run and spend the time in their basement henitentiary.

fullmahina , How many chickens do you have? Hope the storm doesn't scare them. I can imagine you in the basement telling them even though it sounds scary everything will be okay. Just had a vision of your chickens running around in your in basement in a circle flapping their wings squawking: The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

We only have four right now, more than enough for our needs. When we had more I gave a lot of eggs away and even sold some but three or four is fine for us now, I think. They lay enough eggs for us and our daughter. As they get older they will lay less often and then go through henopause and stop laying altogether, at which point they will become just pets. No stock pot for them---they have served us well and we have a little henmetery in a nice shady area put aside for their final resting place.

I'm here. Except for the wind and coastal flooding, it appears to be more west of the coast.
