This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Up and at 'em, friends! Well, maybe after another cuppa joe and another chapter in my book.
I allowed myself my big point night yesterday, and the scale is rude this morning. But I'm on plan, and we'll just have to see where it takes me come weigh in on Monday. I also took a day off from organized exercise, so today is a good day to reset myself. It's a bit chillier, more invigorating, so a good day to get outside.
Frieda, are the kids back today or tomorrow? How are you doing?
I hope we hear more from Colleen and Susan in the midst of the many changes going on in their lives. Selling properties is very demanding/draining.
Soak in what Saturday has to offer.

GM, T and kitties on the prowl. I'm w coffee and headache and pouring rain, at the studio for makeups. One showed, two are currently standing me up. Soon I'll go by market and choose something to fashion dinner around, and head home. What a day, so far.
Love hearing you on plan, so to speak, T. I'm trying too. My freezer needs a boost of supplies - we have been playing fast and loose. Not good.
My DGF's B-Day is Monday. We were to celebrate this weekend. It's looking like tomorrow, so my time gets hijacked by this and that. I have to try very hard to make productive of shorter time periods, when I can't have the whole day or weekend. Those times have passed.
Would love to be visiting Charleston w Susan this weekend, love that town.
Guess I'm wrapping. Will purr by later. Happy day, CaTs.

Good morning CATs, I've done my walk, a trek to the Farmers Market and a brief stop at Whole Foods. I've got some laundry churning and just finished a book. It's a beautiful day so I need to motivate myself to get outside and enjoy it. I could be planting today but DH is off with an Honor Flight project.
Shari, I'm sorry you are plagued with a headache AND being stood up. I'm still amazed that both parents and kids are so inconsiderate of you and your time--especially when it's already a makeup situation. T, I'm excited about the changes you are making. When you've been in this mode in the past I've seen the weight just melt off of you. It will be fun to follow your progress. Frieda, I'm hoping the week has flown by for you. Did you get some good self indulgent time? MCat, full house! I hope everyone is on their best behavior. Susan, I hope you'll post pics and give a full report on Charleston. What a lovely place to visit in the spring!
I'm going to download an audio and get off the computer. The sun is shining in my world. How about yours?

Happy Dance at the scale. Down .2 #. Want more but guess I should limit portions and move my bootay a little more. I'd cook, if you lived close by. Not much planned for the weekend. OR has spring break this week. WA has it next week. Which means it will be raining most of the time. I can't wait for the constant rain to end. Two months of record breaking rain levels in a row. Latest emails from DSis are not encouraging. Memory declining. Doesn't like bothering so doesn't tell staff when need to use bathroom or change. Wondering if she is giving up. Hope not but that is me being selfish. Taking a planned break from computer for tomorrow. HUGS~ martha

Martha, that's a lot to process with DMom. Keep in mind what you would want in her shoes, and go with grace. Special enveloping hugs to you, today.
I finished a good novel, then took a 3 hour nap. Seriously, my body just said, "Stop. It." I awoke to make a rather delectable dinner of whatever was left in the fridge, veggie wise, plus baked potatoes with a mix of yogurt and every fresh herb on hand (there were quite a few), in lieu of butter or sour cream, and small steaks I cooked on my DMIL's iron skillet. I feel better. Cooking helps me process all kinds of stuff.
DD texted that she's in for our ME vacation in June. I am thrilled! Both kidults want to come. We survived parenting teans to adults! Dang!
