hi girls, I stayed away from my playpen for a couple of days.my flying geese pieces did not turn out to be the right size.out of 32 pieces I have 5 that turned out right size.sure don't know what I did wrong.
back to the cutting table I go.I hate making flying geese worse the working with triangles.
talked to Ginger last night.she hates flying geese also.one of our best quilters in the guild hates flaying geese also.
C.J. the blue and yellow is beautiful. I have heard many times mixing blue and yellows is not easy to get the right combinations. you did great.
Ruth hope you get he water line fixed soon.
GINNY can 't wait till you get your Christmas quilt done and show us.
mm wonder how many of us are making the red and white snowflake quilt? love white for winter.

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Thanks everyone for the compliments on my blue and yellow quilt. I enjoyed making it and it's a pleasure to look at too. I always love seeing yellow and blue quilts. Ruth - I hope your DH can get the leak fixed somehow. Sue - I understand how you feel about having a house and all the upkeep, I'm going through the same thing. Come on - you know you want to make that Jelly Snowflake quilt Pat Sloan is going to do another quilt along for this quilt sometime this fall, so you could always make one then. Phyl - Hope you can get your flying geese blocks to work out. I love the way they look, but I don't like making them that much either. Ginny - Hope you can get some embroidery done today - it's Slow Sunday Stitching Day I was looking at blogs linked to that blog today and saw this one for a Trip Around the World quilt. It's done in Christmas fabrics, but you could use any kind. Thought you'd like to read the post and see the pictures, there is also a pdf that you can download with instructions. I printed it off and might try another one someday: frommycarolinahome.com/2020/07/15/cijpp/frommycarolinahome.files.wordpress.com/2020/07/christmas-trip-around-the-world.pdfWe had some rain last night and this morning, but so far none today. I'm glad because I'm tired of worrying about water coming in around the window where I have the window AC unit. If I can just make it another month, I'll be able to take it out of the window for the season. Take care everyone!

Ruth, hope you can pick up the necessary parts for the water fix. Its always so frustrating with plumbing when you need extra supplies and not what you thought you might need. Plumbing is like that....
Phyl- how are you making your flying geese?? I would think there is more than one flying geese template- hope you have enough fabric to correct the problem.
CJ- you are killing me.....another gorgeous quilt and I love the fabric selection for the Christmas round the world quilt. Thanks for sharing... For your sake, I hope that hurricane season is calm for you and you can close up that window soon. Fall is coming.
Sue- nice to see the final migration in the fall of those hummingbirds.Glad you were able to enjoy cooler temps for a few days. Do you have black bears or brown bears where you live?? I had bear scat in 3 places on my front lawn a few weeks ago....they too know the seasons are changing and its time to bulk up for the winter.
Monday tomorrow??? Yikes Ginny
