Eat with your non-dominant hand.
Unless you want to look like a klutz, it'll force you to move slowerβand be more mindful of how much you're eating, says Rebecca Lewis, in-house dietitian at HelloFresh. And that can help you eat up to 30% less, according to one University of Southern California study.
This is probably a good thing to practice at home, but I don't know that I'd want to try it any place else. Have you ever tried this? If so, how did it work for you? Any plans for tomorrow? Is there anything you're going to do to prepare for the week?

I can't imagine eating with my left hand...that said...have taught myself to knit right and left handed and to use both hands at the same time to carry yarn. Knowing my luck I would adapt too quickly for it to work well to deter eating Son and his family arrived last night. Son is out jogging and the rest are still sleeping. Not sure what the day holds in store for us. Fun, for sure! Not worrying about food this week.

While my right hand is my dominant hand for most things (I write, draw, etc with right hand), I'm reasonably ambidextrous and eating works well with either hand. I know I attribute (or blame) a lot on work/job, but needing to use both hands to serve efficiently has improved my ability to use both hands quite well. (there are odd things I am much better at with one or the other - I can only throw a frisbee left handed - not a skill used daily! Ha!)
I'm going to go grocery shopping today. Usually a Saturday chore, but we had other things going on yesterday morning so I shifted it to today. And plenty on to-do list, nothing of particular interest.
Planning - getting the groceries is part of my prep/plan. I felt like I'm in a bit of a rut with food choices. When I notice that/feel that, it's time to look around so I got out the WW materials and took a look for some inspiration. Adding some red peppers to my list for dipping in hummus (along with my normal snap peas and carrots). Not a big deal, but a little bit of something different that I haven't had for awhile.

This idea made me laugh, I have never tried it, but I'm sure I would adapt real quick when it comes to shoveling food into my mouth. I can always find a way to do that. Years ago, I had surgery on both my hands, it didn't slow down my eating one bit! My plan for the week is to attend my WI on Tuesday, I am wearing my fit bit today for the first time in a couple of weeks, I plan to wear it & try to get my steps in all week. As far as food prep goes, this is really not a problem for me since I don't work, I just tend to make what I want every day.

This has nothing to so with the topic but I would love some purely simply filling breakfast ideas. I've been having a diet corn muffin every morning. Fat free but not sugar free and kind of big. It's from a cafe so I have no nutritional info. I'm planning to stop buying them and go mostly simply filling. Since I only have 28 weeklies, I want to be careful with non sf Foods.

Can you think of other ways to eat foods that make you work? Do you like to eat nuts that you have to shell? I do buy pistachios in the shell. Mostly because its the only way I can find salt/pepper ones. Also, it seems like if you eat sunflower seeds from the shell, you have to expand more energy per seed than the calories you are eating. Today's QOTD- I have been trying to eat with my nondominant hand. Kind of fun to challenge myself that way, although it doesn't seem to have slowed me down much. I don't think I need anything at the store for the week. I have salad fixings in the fridge and soups in the freezer. Also, lots of fresh fruit currently. I think I need to work on my taxes

Annette Google Skinny Mom. She has lots of breakfast recipes. One that comes to mind is to make egg "muffin" bites that you make once and reheat as needed. On Monday, I will see if I can find a saved recipe for healthy breakfast cookies.
