Trade your fork for chopsticks.
Don't just use them for Chinese food takeout, says Gorin. Even if you're a pro at using them, chopsticks pick up less food than most forks, forcing you to take smaller bites. Buy a nice reusable set, and make them your default at the dinner table.
Do you know how to and use chopsticks sometimes? Do you like Chinese food? What is your favorite dish?

Do you know how to and use chopsticks sometimes? In the past have tried them...not very successful. Don't make it at home often or go out for it ever where I live
Do you like Chinese food? What is your favorite dish? I like Chinese food. Favorite was cashew chicken or orange beef, I think. Used to get pressed duck with plum sauce when young. I like a good stir fried vegetable and fried rice BUT don't get them often Love the spring rolls!

No, I don't know how to use chopsticks - that would slow down my eating for sure! I'd probably end up stabbing things with one chopstick. :-)
I don't make Chinese/Oriental food at home, we have not eaten out/had take out for quite awhile. I like spicy dishes, I'll usually choose a tofu dish, since it's something I don't cook at home.
Annette - for your breakfast question yesterday, suggestions would include eggs (maybe omelet or scrambled with vegetables added?), whole grains - oatmeal, either hot or overnight/refrigerated. Plain yogurt, add your choices of fruit. Or, looking outside of typical breakfast foods, a sandwich or anything else that appeals at other times of the day.

I need to answer my own questions. I have used chopsticks, but I'm not very adept at it. I think it is fun to use them sometimes. I do like Chinese food. I guess my favorite is the sweet and spicy dishes such as the orange chicken or beef. At home I make stir fries, but I don't usually eat them with chopsticks.

Annette, here is my pancake recipe: This makes good sized servings for 2 people, you could modify it any way you like: 1/2 cup dry oatmeal 1/2 cup cornmeal 1/2 cup applesauce 1/2 cup ff milk 1/2 ripe banana, mashed 1/2 teas baking powder dash salt, dash cinnamon, dash vanilla 1 egg Mix all ing. & cook on sprayed pan. I usually top mine off with the other 1/2 of the banana, some berries & a little sf syrup or dash powdered sugar.
Eating with chop sticks is something that I have never been able to do. DS & DIL do it all the time. That would probably slow down my eating, I would probably end up just cramming the food in my mouth with my hands!!!!!!!LOL
I enjoy the Chinese buffets, so that I can get a little taste of everything. If I order from the menu, I usually just get the stir fried veggies, rice & the hot & sour soup.

Do you know how to and use chopsticks sometimes? No...I believe I would find this very frustrating and don't think it would help me.
Do you like Chinese food? What is your favorite dish? Never really been one for Chinese. I am not big on "sauces" I make fried rice with leftover brown rice and lots of veggies that I enjoy. Don't go for buffets but a lot of people around here sure do.
We have been away and that is why I have been missing in action Martie

I love Chinese food. We have several good restaurants where you can get a meal that will feed you for several days. Last time I went for Chinese, I did try using chopsticks. Much more successful with the entree than with the rice.
I am not a super big fan of seafood in my Chinese, but I like almost all other Chinese.

I can use chopsticks but prefer my fork. The Korean style chopsticks are stainless steel and very skinny. They are paired with a long handle spoon that I don't limit to soup. lol
