hi, yesterday we were on the Mississippi river with Jeana and Carrie. we spent 3 hours on the river.
we rode up toward Winona. got to see the backs of beautiful homes we see the fronts going on the hwy to WINONA.
the river was breezy.
on The way back she swung over to The Black river ( still part of the Mississippi) she put the anchor down and we had lunch.
we spent 3 hours on the river. sure slept good last night.
one thing Jeana will not allow adult drinks on the pontoon.good for her. boating and drinking do not mix just like cars and drinking do not mix.
have not done any sewing. just working on the snowflake quilt block by hand.
cannot make up my mind if I want to join the snowflake embroidery block one or not. will not be joining the new Pat Sloan's Christmas tree one. PHYL

Phyl- it sounds like you had a lovely day on the boat sight seeing on the Mississippi. What a nice time and the weather must have been great also. The gentle breeze along the river probably felt wonderful, you have described a perfectly fun and peaceful day. Personally I never could understand why some folks need to drink when they get out on the water- isnβt being on the water relaxing enough?? It is a smart policy to have to prohibit drinking on the boat. Best to stay safe. Looked at the Pat Sloan Christmas tree pattern, also the snowflake embroidery block. The Christmas tree quilt is very cute, but just not to my taste. She is so creative and comes up with some really neat ideas... its easy to see why she is popular.
Got up super early to go view the sunrise over the lake with my friend. Its something I have wanted to do for a few years....and she was nuts enough to join me today. We were treated to a wonderful sunrise and the lake was so peaceful and calm. Lovely viewing for sure. What a difference a day makes- today there is a breeze and I have the doors and windows open. Just a beautiful early fall day. Absolutely perfect. I will get to some crafting later on- still have one last butterfly to finish and then on to the Christmas quilt.
Hi to Ruth, CJ, Sue and Rene- Monika if she stops back in to say hello. I wonder if she made her final decision on a new sewing machine or not.

All the water activity, boating and watching sunrise over the lake, sounds very relaxing and enjoyable. I definitely thing people should not be drinking and boating.
I didn't get much time to crochet yesterday and so far today just a couple minutes. I have several things I need to do today too so who knows how much time I'll get so so much for the plans of finishing anything this weekend. Well I do have plenty of time so no need for panic but I do anyway. I still want to try some sewing but I need to finish my crochet projects first.
I agree with you, CJ, that we just have creative minds which lead us to have many projects in mind. I keep seeing new things I want to crochet as well as that hope to get to sew also. There are several small quilt projects I'd love to make and I need to finish those 10 minute (or is it 20) table runners.
