No Excuses
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN!

86. Don’t shy away from shellfish. Many types—notably crab, scallops, mussels, clams, and lobster—are actually slightly lower in cholesterol than chicken or beef. Even though shrimp and crayfish have about twice as much cholesterol as meat, they contain much less fat, and their fat is largely unsaturated and includes heart healthy omegaÂ3 fatty acids.

I don't eat shellfish...didn't grow up eating them so they have the wrong "mouth feel" when I have tried to eat them. Nothing against them perse - just not something I choose to eat.
BOB: Glad your daughter is doing better!
Karen: We had wine last night, too. Not sure what kind it was but it was local and red...called reserve de couvent by Ksara

I like reds medium bodied and dry.
I like shrimp, cooked. Dabble in some of the others. Not much of a shellfish person. I never got into lobster and I don't really understand crab vs artificial crab? Confusing. That comes up mostly when ordering sushi. Not sure about what's in crabmeat salad either but I don't eat it, so I shouldn't be too concerned.

We have real crab in Oregon both Dungeness and Alaska King crab. Very tasty. I have at least one graduate degree in marine biology and have spent whole summer at marine station in Northern California. I always liked shrimp, crab and prawns Now I love mussels too including hot mussels at our sushi place and "moules frites" Belgium (and french) style. As a kid mostly just shrimp. Hey too each his own.
