This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Hi all. I feel that getting here first thing may be a new routine. I'm behind so can't dwaddle.
Weekend with my parents was wonderful! Seriously, great weekend. I've sold my washer and dryer, my freezer, and waiting on the lawnmower. Just Sam's couch to dispose off. Packing has commenced again and I realized I have a lot of glassware/barware!
This is it, last week. I want to be losing and back on plan with the rest of you kitties, I do! On a whim, DM and I tried on wedding dressses for the first time. It was traumatic. I don't even recognize my self with the extra 30 lbs. Real dress shopping in 4/15. Enough time to get on track and at least feel better about myself. Right?
Sorry to be mememe. The post of healthy eating a and taking time for ourselves over the weekend was just what I needed. Deep breath. I got this!
Have a great day, friends.

Good morning, Colleen! How exciting to have you start the day and raise a mug in greeting.
I am lamenting the scale this morning.Despite my efforts, I am actually up at least a pound over this time last Monday, rather than showing a good first-week loss. I am down in mood if not on the scale. I needed the boost of results. I can't expect anything from WI tonight except more frustration, but I will go.
Yesterday was all about getting the homestead organized so that the work week will not start off in a hole. So many loads of laundry, meals planned, etc. Time well spent. Plus, I got my work out done.
It's full-on spring here, which means piles of pollen. But my rose bush is in full bloom, and the daisies are up. I hope I actually get irises this year -- last year was an inexplicable bust.

Colleen, I feel your trauma. We can do this, we have done this, we are doing this, it's ON! PS I took my measurements for the first time in years, and I think I qualify for the dimensions of a steamer trunk and tuba-case combo unit, but I have visions of becoming a carry-on suitcase.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!!
The weekend was good, with the power of 3. DSS is doing much better (as are both DSteps). So nice to see them in their "true" forms. :-) Everyone played nice and all was good.
Received "discovery" from XH on Friday. It's so nice to have DH to go through this with. He is able to reframe things for me, and remind me that nothing should really change at all. And I know he's right. My favorite question from discovery: list all trips to a theme park, ranch, or beach taken since 2013. Think that has anything to do with that recent trip to DW? What a dork. Anyway, meeting with attorney this week; I'm going to start getting all of my info together.
Colleen, I think I like "dwaddle." Try to handle one thing at a time, when it comes to going back to being OP. You have a lot of changes going on right now, and you don't want to drive yourself crazy!!!! You are lovely, period.
T, I loved the idea of your legs catching up with you. I giggled. How lovely that both kidults want in on the trip. Good for you! Enjoy!
Anne, I hope you continue to find peace and time for yourself with the impending conference. Finding all of your speakers was a big deal, I am sure.
I hope Frieda is well.
Oh! So, yes, DMom and DDad are doing well. DMom is healing well and is chugging along. DDad started his new radiation/chemo combo and had a hard time last week with sickness. Which is unfortunately hard on DMom. Fortunately, there are only 5 more weeks. The home stretch! We are starting to plan the big family trip to DW; DFam wants to stay at one of the really expensive resorts; we'll have to see about that. And so the fun begins!
Alrighty, gotta go work. Hugs to all!!!

Good morning all! I'm coming to you from the top floor of our hotel, having a late breakfast looking across the river at downtown Charleston. Beautiful view! Of course we've spent the last two days eating our way through this town! Very easy to do. Once MM finishes a bit of work we are heading out on a bit of a history tour on our last full day here. The weather is fabulous - sunny 70s.
This is truly my last eating hurrah. We are both buckling down and getting back into gym mode as soon as we get back. I'm with you on the dimensions T. I was much happier as a slightly oversized carry on last summer!
How exciting to be dress shopping Colleen! Do you have a good idea of what you want? I think the choices would be simply overwhelming.
Out of time for now. Time to begin the days adventures.

Hi CaTs. So good to see a small gaggle here this am. I want to join in! Mondays hit the ground running for me, so like Colleen and others, I can't dwaddle.
Colleen, you are beautiful to us all the time - we can only imagine the beautiful bride you will be! Completely understanding your feelings of wanting to feel your best to try on dresses - it's great motivation. Enjoy the process and the reason.
T, so sorry about your tough measurements - you are very hard on yourself! Try kind, loving words, like you would say to one of us. You are so good at whipping up healthy dishes - what derails you? Shine the spotlight on it and make it the exception in your eating. Best of luck with that pollen!
MCat, good news from you on DPs and DKids, all around. May it continue to be so! We are grateful for DH in your life too!
Susan, I would love to be with you in the delightful city of Charleston. The history there captivates me. I think of MM as Main Man, now. Enjoy your time.
Pouring rain last night and still some today, and yet the ground outside is still white. How much fortitude can that stuff have? Go away already! Supposed to be warming up but I'm not feeling it yet. Very busy days this week, appts, WeWa work extra, lessons, of course, and ferrying loads of giveaway out of this overburdened house. Hopefully it will help me to see clearer to what need to be addressed here yet. Apt process continues; I'll feel better when it's a sealed deal.
Must go turn into a piano teacher, give the poodle a rainwalk, and head out. Best Monday wishes all around.
