They're all so beautiful but the fall fabrics are my favorites. It looks like you have a lot of great work planned. These quilts are going to be very beautiful just as all of your's so far have been.
They say that all this smoke is caused by a weather front that's pushing smoke here from the fires in Montana and that it won't last long. It does look like it's clearing some.
We will put off going to buy a new water heater until Tuesday after the holiday weekend. When I need hot water I'll just heat it on the stove..no problem. It's to be 90 or over all weekend so cool showers won't be a problem. Then they say Monday night we might get the "s" word...yep snow. I can't imagine it amounting to much but then there was that blizzard several years ago on Sept 11th.

CJ- I enjoy the pictures....and just have to figure out how to get my own pics here too!!Like the Jordan fabrics log cabin fabrics....and really like the jelly roll. Like Ruth, I am a big fan of fall colors and fabrics....and would decorate the whole house in those colors if I could. Thanks for sharing.
Ruth- that stinks that the smoke is back and its even worse that your hot water heater has a leak. Hope both the leak and the smoke are cleared up quickly. And I have noted before that your temperatures regularly have huge swings....cannot imagine how you plan what to wear with that kind of weather!
Phyl- guess you did not get any cleaning done today then! (Neither did I). I too have heard that about sewing machines, that they need to run.....I will get my black singer up and running- just because. Yes I think its called a featherweight. They are such pretty machines.
Errands ran long today, but I pretty much got everything done. See ya in the morning Ginny

CJ, I love your pictures and hope that you continue to share them with us right here
Ginny, here in Wyoming the temp often falls up to 40 degrees and maybe even more at times within 20 minutes. We all tend to dress in layers.
I didn't get any cleaning done either. I did finish up the shield for the sword and shield for one grandson and got a good start on putting together the brachysaurus for the other one. I intend to get that done yet this evening. Tomorrow hopefully I will get the pockets on the pocket shawls. I have two done that need pockets and need to make one more
they were right about the smoke. It is almost completely gone now as they predicted...for now anyway.
I hope you all get a great night's sleep

Good morning!! Ruth, its so good to hear that the smoke has cleared from your area. I can imagine its rather depressing to see the evidence of destruction of some of our beautiful planet like that. It bothers me to see it on television...must be so much worse in person. Where do you get those dinosaur patterns??? Dream on for me that I have time to take them on but perhaps if I saw one that was super cute and looked easy I might give it a try. Speaking of weather shifts, today Denver is supposed to be 99 degrees, and the weather channel woman just said that they might have snow on Monday. Guess I am just not used to weather that crazy. Got plenty of other crazy in my state so the weather does not have to be. Ha ha ha
I am walking with my friend this am- so any house work will have to happen later. I did pick up a havahart trap for the silly little red squirrel that likes chewing its way into my shed. So I will get that set up today.. Hope everyone slept well last night.

Ginny, that bear claw pattern is really nice and the possibilities for color are endless. I know you're going to add this to your list. Sounds like Denver is having the same weather that we are to have. Snow Monday, as I mentioned yesterday, is not something I'm looking forward to and they say about 3 inches. I don't think at all that there will be much, if any, accumulation. It will melt immediately on hard surfaces and probably won't even stick to the grass for long.
Never did get the dino finished last evening after all so that will be my goal for today along with vacuuming which I might procrastinate some more on.

Isn’t the bear claw pattern cute!!!! Now I have to go find a jelly roll to make it with. Just what I needed- another project. I cannot even finish the projects I have started already! Ha ha ha But I did on the video see how she mentioned how nice it is to have an ironing station nearby your sewing machine. I just got that as you well know. Ruth, 3inches of snow this time of year will be gone in hours and surely not at all like a Mid February snow in Buffalo. It will be all melted in no time for sure. Frustrating day for me, I have not gotten much done and my long awaited for Mattress will not be here for at least 3 weeks. The manufacturer is all backed up- shortage of raw materials and they have no mattresses in the wearhouse thanks to the Covid shutdown. It is being made in the United States- something I was very insistent upon. I have been assured by the company that they only manufacture mattresses here.
The cold front has come through and the humidity has dropped off considerably. Temps should start falling in an hour or so. A welcome change. Tomorrow I am steaming the carpets in the dry weather....they should dry nicely for sure.

Ha ha ha ha!!!!!! Lookie. Lookie, now you all think I am a 5 year old. I found the great directions from CJ and this is the infamous BOM quilt all done and in the bedroom (mind you freshly painted bedroom and the newly painted furniture). Now I can add pics too.. I will add more.....now that I have figured this all out. Thanks CJ

Seriously I do enjoy looking at the pictures myself, cause we can see what others are doing and I can be lousy at describing. As CJ said, if anyone is tired of pictures they can be posted elsewhere. I learn a lot from pictures and its neat to see what others are making for sure.

I'm glad the weather is going to change where you are so that you are more comfortable. Now you would have to mention carpet cleaning Sorry about the mattress but thanks for mentioning that you were insistent on having one that's made in USA. I never thought of that. When I do buy one that will now be something on my list to insist on. Got four things on my list done. Dino is completely done, I fixed Sid's legs to they are more secure and will not be in danger of traumatic amputation . Two other small crochet related things are done so now it's a choice between sewing on pockets, starting another crochet project from my list, or vacuuming.Maybe since that would be such a great feeling to have those pockets on I'll do that.Time will tell. Ginny, get that jellyroll so that your all set to start when you get time. I love CJ's idea of making kits to have ready and I'm thinking of doing the same for crochet...yarn, hook, pattern, all in one place and list of available "kits"

CJ, please keep posting fabrics! I love seeing them, especially now when it's not possible for me to get to a quilt store!
We had a few small fires that have been contained or are out. There's one in Yellowstone. We're still getting smoke from California, but it's not nearly as bad.
Today is a grocery day. J, hb's caregiver, is picking up my meat order and then going to the supermarket for vegetables and fruit. I have a large supply of pasta, rice, quinoa and the like.
