Good Afternoon Challengers!
Yesterday I did 3/6 of my main HHs, went above my red zone of pts but not as badly as in the past and I did JGTB at 11. I ate DHs salted snack foods with my evening snack. I did one of my 2 āmicro habitsā - ā50 pushaways after dinner.ā
We walked 2 mi am.
Waiting for my bro and SIL to arrive after a hectic morning getting ready for the visit, work and telehealth appt. The skin biopsy result is āatypical mole - mild category.ā So itās a skin cancer risk, so I need annual skin checks.

AMYā are you getting some time in on your treadmill or mostly focusing on your eating? Remember to move, too!
CAIT ā have a great visit! Iām glad you made progress on your work project; that must feel great!
We are finally heading out tomorrow to see DHās family. We havenāt seen them since last December, so itās time. Iāll try to post, but itās tough when Iām out of town. Happy Labor Day!
I walked with my sister yesterday, and then did a longer walk this morning (4 miles total).

Good Morning Challengers! Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts HEZ blue dot. I didnāt do my 2 micro habits. We walked 2 mi am. Enjoyed time with bro and SIL. We sat outside on the deck until almost 11 pm talking. I made guacamole appetizer and DH made a nice meal with ribs. This am they are off to see his younger son and DIL and DGD. Tonight weāll go with them to visit his older son DIL and 3 DGC. Tomorrow and Monday theyāll see his DD and son-in-law and their 3 kids. A whirlwind visit! They are also getting a break here from the heat in Indio near Palm Springs although itās hot for us. Today at 11:30 am Pacific Iāll attend the WW Zoom meeting here in Long Beach CA. AMY - I hope you can persevere with the healthy eating and lay off of the sugar and salted snack foods - I have the same issue. Itās sometimes a struggle. But the more I stop trying to have ājust a littleā of those trigger foods, the better I do.
KELLY - LOL re team meeting to discuss work flow when you donāt even know the assignment! Re the shingrix - my DH had a rough time with it also.
RACH - yay you 50.75 mi since July 1! Getting consistent with the exercise with 21 in July and 28 in August!
CAROL - Enjoy the road trip to CO and seeing DHs family! We havenāt seen my DD2 since Christmas and she and her DB werenāt feeling well that day so they left almost right after arriving. šš· Itās so nice that you walk with your sis. GFY with the walking stretching

Cait I will start over tomorrow. bought 3 giant sweet potatoes can cut in thirds. romaine salad. kidney beans with the sweet potato. Go shopping Monday. Scott will pick me up fresh green beans tomorrow morning. Earlier today I had pizza cookie an chips. My stomach hurts. I will also see if Scott can buy me berries. I went to WW for my monthly meeting. Since I have a WW goal at a higher weight I can go monthly and not pay. I went with para transit. I joined planet fitness but it was a mistake. 2 other neighbors joined it too. I will wait till spring. I have my recumbent bike. Want to get my eating better first. Whole Foods got me the salad and potatoes delivered. They were out of fresh green beans. I have fat free dressing. I think if I eat purple I can eat these foods. I think if I eat sweet potatoes instead of russet it is healthier, Russ and I will shop 10 qm Monday isnce he is off from work. I really want to lose weight.

The WW zoom meeting was good. It was the last one at that time. WW is consolidating meetings and reducing the number of staff at each zoom meeting. The leader said he lost 6 meetings but heās viewing it as 6 hours more per week he has to do something new with!
Enjoyed time with bro and SIL. We gave them a tour of Long Beach, especially the older homes and ones with unique architecture, Craftsman homes, and the peninsula where there is a beach on each side of the street - ocean beach on one side, canal with beach on the other.
We went with them to have dinner at his older son and DIL and their 3 kids. Didnāt get real close and stayed outside on the deck. Havenāt seen them since Christmas and it It was so great.
I think that for me āitās a way of life, not a dietā is finally sinking in. Also āone day at a time.ā These are much deeper insights than I realized, and have taken longer for me to understand than one would expect. I think I couldnāt understand except through doing the work over a long time through ups and downs. Iām so grateful I just kept working the program as best I could. In OA they say ādonāt quit before your miracle.ā

Good Afternoon Challengers!
Yesterday I did 2/6 of my main HHs, went over my red zone of pts. I did not do my 2 micro habits. Last night we sat out on the deck talking til almost 11, then went to bed. I couldnāt sleep, was hungry and I got up and ate healthy 0 pts, but then I also ate about 4 servings of tortilla chips and the leftover guacamole. At least I stopped and went back to bed and didnāt finish the bag of chips.
It was the last night of my bro and SILās visit, and events like this - the end of a visit - often stir up a lot of feelings. Iām feeling sad, grateful, worried, nostalgic, a lot of mixed feelings. It was a great visit, but endings, and worries about their health and our aging, and memories, etc. are a potent emotional stew. Praying and meditating help. Also posting here about it! Also I had a nice long phone call with DD1 and that helped. Bro and SIL were visiting my broās daughter and son-in-law and 3 GKs.
We walked only .6 mi to go to lunch at an outdoor cafe overlooking the beach. It was a hot day, well over 90, but pretty comfortable with umbrella shade at the cafe. Well, DH wasnāt comfortable, but he managed. He has a lower tolerance for heat. Plus he sat with his back to the beach so he didnāt get the breeze, which helped a lot.
We drove up Signal Hill so they could see the big panorama of the city, the two ports, and up and down the coast.

Good Morning!!
I had a nice but busy Holiday weekend. Lots of errands and chores around the house. Saturday was low on steps but all other days I had 9000 plus. Eating was not my worse but could have been a little better. I added 9 miles from Fri-MON.
Cait: Regarding the workflow I know what my job will entail just not when the start date is. Hope you enjoyed the visit with the family. Too bad about not meeting the HHs. You will get back on track.
Carol: You are doing good with your miles.
Amy: Hope you are feeling better in your stomach.

Itās Tuesday!
We drove 500 miles in 100 degree heat on Saturday, and I was wiped out!
Walked 1 mile Saturday, 2 miles Sunday & Monday, and I stretched today. Itās rainy, cool, and even snowing a little here, so if I walk, Iāll come back and add that.

Good Evening Challengers!
Yesterday I did 0/6 of my main HHs, went over my red zone of pts and I did not do my 2 micro habits. Iām back on track so far today, thank you God.
We had a nice morning on the deck with my bro and SIL before they left. In the afternoon I had nice long phone chats with my cousin and also with an old friend.
There was a lot of ash on everything from wildfires north of here in So Cal, and the air quality was unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Today new wildfires are threatening our N CA area. Theyāre not too close to our home at this time. The I-5 freeway is closed and State Rte 96 that comes within 1-1/2 miles of our house is closed about 6 miles upriver from our road. Itās the Slater fire. Evacuation is ordered for all residents of Happy Camp, about 31 miles from our home. Praying for all affected, there and all the other areas.
