Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts HEZ blue dot and I did 1/2 micro habits “no seconds with evening snack.” I’ll try to do the other micro habit “50 pushaways” - we got a new dishwasher, so DH doesn’t spend as much time cleaning up after dinner, which was when I was doing my pushaways.
My miles for the year as of last night were 499.9!
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning!!
I added a 2 mile WATP yesterday. Found out late in the day yesterday the next meet is not til the 28th to show us how we will pull reports from our software system we use for charting. Supplies have been ordered for us to start working from home. I'm just ready to start. I'm grateful for the hours I have but the days are long and boring. I am not using any brain cells as you do not need to be a nurse to ask the screening questions.
Amy: Glad you are doing well.
Cait: Good job on your miles and a good day.
Waving to all.

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, went above my red zone of pts, ate way too much of DHs “skinny pop,” did 1/2 of my micro habits “50 pushaways after dinner.” At least popcorn is a whole grain and a better choice than sugar and processed snack foods, and the sodium is lower. I stayed up reading and sleeping in the recliner, finished the book, but didn’t go to bed until 4 am 😕 Old post-event and stress behaviors.
I did a lot on my work project.
Fires expanded rapidly in our N CA home area. Many homes burned in Happy Camp 31 mi from us, and one death. Air quality there is very bad. Here in Long Beach it’s “moderate” but it got worse in the evening. We have ash combined with fog. We can still sit outside in the am, but last night we ate inside for dinner for the first time in a long time because of air quality.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning!!
I had a good OP day yesterday. I added 2 miles.
We got a tentative date of Oct 16 that our equipment will be in. I may have an option to stay at my current office and take another position. The position is currently approved for a MA but the practice manager is going to talk with her supervisor and see if it could be offered to a nurse. I am not sure I will really like being at home and not having the office connection. Praying for direction and peace. I had to chuckle to myself as the one Health Coach on our weekly meeting call said she felt so much more relaxed after the call. It increased my anxiety as they requested we all go back to working 8-4:30 starting Monday so we can be available for upcoming meetings, calls, training, etc. My hours have been all over the place with working as the office door screener. The Practice Manager already has my schedule done for next week. She always makes sure I am covered to attend the meetings so far. When I asked if I could just continue the hours I have been working my previous supervisor directed to my new supervisor who is not part of the Health Coach calls. I hope to get an answer today.
Cait: Hope yesterday was a better day. I'm impressed on the 4 am. Glad you were able to work on your project. Praying for safety from the fires.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 5/6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts, HEZ, blue dot, did 1/2 of my micro habits “no seconds with evening snack.” I didn’t get to bed until about midnight but I was working, finished the big work project. Yesterday I made a real lunch whereas many recent days I’ve been having just an apple and some almonds and maybe some leftover brown rice salad.
We did our 2 mi walk in am.
For yesterday “Back To School,” I give myself an A in Nutrition, a B in PE, and a C in Health for the day, and an A in English because I did a lot on my work project.
Fires are bad in our N CA home area. There are scarce firefighting resources so they can only focus on saving lives and structures right now. More personnel on the way. Air quality there is very bad - over 500 AQI Air Quality Index - “Hazardous.” Here in Long Beach SoCal smoke is from a fire in the Angeles National Forest. AQI in Long Beach got up in the 240’s AQI last night - “Very Unhealthy.” “Healthy” is below 50. 🙏 for people “in the line of fire.”
Trying to not yo-yo as I’ve been doing since Sept 1 with days off and on. Just stay the course one day at a time.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

No walk yesterday because we had to do an errand we’d been putting off while I had to spend so much time on my work project.
I give myself an A in Nutrition, a C in PE, and an A in Health for the day.
AQI this am is 133 “unhealthy for sensitive groups” here in Long Beach CA but we’re still planning to walk. It was 213 last night, Very Unhealthy, so windows stayed closed.
There are now almost 400 personnel on the fire in our N CA home area and winds have not been high so hopes are improving.
I went to the 7 am WW zoom meeting this am and it was good.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

AMY - glad you’re able to eat the whole wheat pasta and sugar free tomato sauce and your weight is continuing to normalize
KELLY - I can see how unbalancing it would be to have your schedule constantly in flux and lacking the stimulation you enjoy. So glad you are using your skills to relax and try to accept and adjust as this new work world keeps changing on you.
CAROL - I’m sure you and DH are enjoying your CO visit. How is the air quality there? How many times did you have to stop to charge the Tesla on the 500 mi trip? Was it easy to find places? What do you do while it charges, and how long does it take? I assume the car has A/C for that 100 degree heat. I saw a forecast of cooler air coming into the West which should help with the fires and heat. Maybe even rain in OR & WA.

Good Morning Challengers! Yesterday I did 2/6 of my main HHs, went above my red zone of pts, did not do my 2 micro habits. Today I’m planning to do better. The problems began with wanting to snack in the afternoon and then after dinner as well. Partly I think it’s post-event eating, treating myself post-stress with junk food, after finally finishing the work project. Old patterns take time to let go of and replace. Gotta be persistent and persevere! (Autocorrect tried to make “persevere” into “perverse” but maybe that works too 😝😂) We walked 2.2 mi. I give myself a D in Nutrition, a B in PE, and a D in Health for the day. AQI this am was 143 “unhealthy for sensitive groups” here in Long Beach CA, a little lower now, 133. It was in the 250’s last night, Very Unhealthy. Eating indoors. There are now over 500 personnel on the 2 fires in our N CA home area and they are mainly trying to keep the fires from crossing major roads and protecting structures. 0% containment. Heavy smoke there, AQI was almost 600 yesterday, down to 340 now, but “Hazardous” either way, yet any improvement is welcome I’m sure. “High humidity” (30-50% LOL) helped overnight. It was weird, after the WW zoom meeting I was thinking about how much it helps to feel confidence with these health efforts, and today here we are with Confidence as the WW topic for the next week. The leader must have been “leading” the discussion in that direction 🤩 Here’s the link to the WW Weekly article about boosting your confidence www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/boost-your-confidence-these-can-do-strategiesAnd the handouts: Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait

Good Morning!!
I had a nice weekend. Only added 3 miles Fri- Mon. Saturday had no exercise and steps were barely anything as the morning was a Ladies Breakfast at Church and then few visits to several family members.
Thanks for the support. I have a virtual meeting with a Practice Manager at a Coumadin Clinic for a possible position this morning and then will meet the office staff on Friday. I'm trying to get more info about the working from home position as last week it sounded like we would still meet in person with some of the patients. I've been praying for guidance. I haven't gotten a No yet on any of them. The one that I am interviewing for I will only take if I get the salary back that I lost when I took the Health Coach position since I would be traveling further. Staying in my office I will have to see if I will have a regular schedule before I chose that.
Cait: Good job on your miles. I hope Sunday was a better day. I always wonder why I chose to make bad food choices or over-indulge especially when I feel poorly afterwards and I actually enjoy healthy options.
Amy: Congrats on your weight-loss.
Waving to all!! Happy walking
