sunrose - Glad you have books you enjoy reading DotRen - Your stories are so funny I'm still working the Beck review. Part of me would quit in a minute, but I know I need to stick it out and hopefully I'll have success. Take care everyone!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well sunrose - This is such a sad day/anniversary. I remember everything so well from that day. I'm not sure I can do the Beck Review. I just don't feel like I have the energy to do it, even though I know I need it really badly. I hope if I try to keep going it will get easier. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I've been limiting wheat for the last 2 weeks, then I had a turkey burger Friday and 2 pigs in a blanket and a sandwich yesterday and woke up with a migraine. Not sure if there's a direct connection, but it's possible since I normally don't eat wheat 2 days in a row anyway.

Good morning
cj, I think you said you worked at the Pentagon on 9/11? I was just across the river in DC. I could see the smoke from my window. Terrible
dotren, gosh sorry you got a migraine. Hope you are feeling better.
I cut the grass yesterday and need to finish up more stuff today in the yard.

Hello Everyone DotRen - Sorry to hear about your migraine, I hope you have medication you can take to help. Those migraines I had last week were draining, so I feel for you. It would really help to know what triggers them, wouldn't it? sunrose - Hope you get things done in your yard today. I worked in Crystal City VA on 9/11, but was over at the Pentagon several times a month. On the actual day I was in downtown DC too!!! I bet it was difficult for you to get home. It took some of my co-workers in Crystal City up to 6 hours to get home that day since the streets were just clogged. My father had a heart procedure scheduled at Washington Hospital Center and I was there with him that morning. We could see the smoke from the hospital too. They were all on full alert thinking there would be a lot of burn victims coming to the hospital, but it turned out there weren't that many survivors with burns My father ended up being admitted and had a quadruple heart bypass on September 12th. I will never forget driving home on 9/11 through DC during which would have been evening rush hour. The streets were deserted and there were armed police and military all around the federal buildings. It was so eerie and strange. Such a sad time for our country and for all the people lost and families affected. After thinking I would quit the Beck review I decided to go read through the threads and get caught up and I'm going to try my best to work through the process. At this point I'm not even focusing on losing weight, but just on incorporating these good habits into each day and hopefully working on improving my health and stopping my dependence on food to solve my problems - which of course it doesn't. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Take care

Good morning
cj, it was a very sad day for sure. I worked in the Portals bldg. and my window had a direct view of National airport runway. I remember that my ex husband and I sat outside until traffic cleared. He was a manager and only one of the manager's that stayed to make sure all his employees got out of the bldg. I remember people running down the hallway crying and screaming. I pray that America never has another day like that. I should open the Beck Review again. I sure do need some help.

cj59, sunrose49,hope you're all doing well I set an appointment to get my drivers license renewed for next month, realized I don't have certified copy of my birth certificate (I have to original hospital one that was issued and a copy, but not the "seal" one that they require). So I ordered that this morning and hope it gets here in time. I called the dmv or dps, whatever, and was told that I can cancel and reschedule my appointment if I need to, up until the day before, so hopefully I won't have to. JD got his renewed yesterday and it only took about 30 minutes total. It seems like they schedule about 6 people per 1/2 hour appointment block, so it moves pretty quickly. I have my bifocals just in case, mostly for distance, but I was trying to wear them when Ron and I were driving around and they made me nausious going from the top to bottom lol. Ugh.

sunrose - Hope you have a good week too DotRen - I couldn't deal with bifocals, they made me sick and gave me headaches, so I understand what you mean. So I have one pair of long distance glasses, one pair of prescription sunglasses and one pair for computer work. Hope your license renewal appointment will go well. I had to get one the new smart license last year and I was glad I was able to find all the documents I needed to take with me. I think the one I was most worried about finding was my original social security card. Now I keep that card and my birth certificate together. I was in and out of the motor vehicles office in no time, actually before the actual time of my appointment! I'm sure it's a bit different now with the virus issues. Hope everyone is doing well today. I've been focusing on sitting while eating and eating slowly and mindfully (Beck stuff ). I used to have more problems with sitting while eating, but this time I think eating slowly and mindfully will be harder. I'm so used to eating quickly while on the computer or watching TV - it's a tough habit to break.

Good morning
dotren, hope the renewal goes well. I did mine last year. It went pretty smoothly except for walking in and not making an appointment. Found all the necessary documents.
cj, I was actually thinking about sitting at the table us lately to at least eat dinner. I watch tv while eating.
Having the new roof put on today. So much noise and workers here. Probably will be a lazy day.

sunrose - I hope everything goes well with the new roof. I had mine replaced 2 years ago, so I know what you are going through. It does feel good once it's done though
