Phyl is probably out at the restaurant right now celebrating her birthday.
CJ, you've been very busy. That toile quilt sounds absolutely beautiful. I know all the colors work great. They're my favorites.Yes I don't think I'd like to do a box a week anything if I didn't know what the blocks were going to be like. That's why I never do the CAL's when they don't tell you what the finished item is going to be.
Ginny, I forget every year that I can do the tax whenever I want because they have you choose the date you want your bank to send the money to the IRS. I hope I remember next year. It didn't take me very long and would have taken even less time if I hadn't made a mistake and forgot to fill in one of the blanks. My first clue was when they said none of my income was taxable and that I would get a refund. Of course I immediately went back and reviewed and found the error and of course all my income is taxable and I owed money which I already knew.Well except I guess Social Security...some is not taxable but they do all that figuring out for you. The last few years I did it all on paper first then did it online just to see if the online one was correct and it was.
A couple years I went to the free tax prep at the library and the man that did mine both years told me "you know you could do this yourself at home if you wanted to" so I've done it myself at home every since. I always have done my own except one year I took it to H&R block and paid and that's when I found that they didn't do a thing I couldn't do myself. Got my bills done also so tax is done for a year and bills done for a month. So there's nothing now that absolutely HAS to be done by a certain time so I can just relax now
CJ, every April we plant tomato seeds indoors in April and then when it's warm enough to put outside we transplant into huge pots outside and end up usually with 9 big pots which each have two or three plants. WE've found that cherry tomatoes produce a lot more so we end up with many more pounds of tomatoes than if we planted the larger ones. When we have a freeze prediction and it's later in the year than would justify covering them, we pick all the green ones that are left and freeze them and use them to make chili. They're really good that way. This year dh is going to try to grow Habanero pepper but keep them indoors in front of the south facing big windows and see if they'll grow. Ohter than tomatoes I just plant herbs...mostly basil. I've tried parsley, rosemary and thyme but they didn't do well at all. I'm going to try again this year though.
Ginny, I hope you had a good time last night when you were out till 11. I think you mentioned maybe being bored.
Ginny, I know you asked me something too yesterday but now I can't remember what it was. Sorry.
I know that all on your prayer list will appreciate your kindness in remembering them in prayer. It turns out my friend is ok and I've prayed a prayer of thanks. It sounds as though they were thorough. She's probably just worn out from grief at her husband passing and all she's been doing since.Thank you all for your prayers for her.
Oh i found it. you asked about the beads. Well I went to Amazon and looked thru beads there and ordered from somewhere on there. I think they're sent fro Czechoslovakia. They look nice in the picture but who knows what they'll be like when they get here but they weren't expensive so it's fine. I'll find a use for them.
