WELCOME! We are followers of FLYLADY principles for decluttering our homes, as well as WEIGHT WATCHER guidelines for healthy lifestyle choices. We are working on consistent, daily steps to achieve our goals.

HABIT OF THE MONTH β Before Bed Routine
This week we are in Zone 2: The Kitchen
Daily Missions:
Monday: Clean gadgets and small appliances (toasters, food processor, mixer, etc.) Tuesday: Wash dirty dishes, wash, dry, put away (or fill the dishwasher, run, and put away) then shine the sink Wednesday: Fire drill on kitchen flat surface, clean off any surfaces and throw or put away anything on them that doesn't belong there Thursday: Quick cleaning of the outside of fridge and stove, get rid of surface dirt and finger prints (not a detailed cleaning but a 15 min. wipe down) Friday: Clean out one pantry shelf, give can goods away, throw away old open boxes of food

Good Morning and Happy Labor Day!
Cathy - Happy long weekend, LOL. I love this Habit of the Month, Before Bed Routine has really made a big difference in my life. Clearing dishes off the counter & out of the sink and getting my clothes and such lined up for the next day makes it so much easier to get going in the morning. I update the white board on our refrigerator to show errands, appointments & meds that need doing in the morning.

I am loving the long weekend and have tomorrow off too. I totally agree with you about the before bed routine. Since our DS lives with us and is 34 years old (haven't been able to get a full time job) he is in charge of dishes and setting up coffee. I fill my rx containers on the weekend and take to work on Monday and I do lay out or look in my closet to know what I am wearing. My goal for this month is to take some time before bed to walk away from the TV and any online stuff and destress with reading or just calm thoughts. I do also make my breakfast and lunch every evening after dinner for the next day. Monday possibilities Learn how to use my Fitbit Groceries pharmacy Decluttering x 15 (already did 3 dresser drawers) Laundry (my goal is to wash, dry, and hang up the one load all in the same day) Make cards Fill rx containers Evening routine

Tuesday possibilities finish the laundry make more cards watch a video on foil machines meeting with accountant 2 online dr. meetings decluttering x 15' pack breakfast and lunch for tomorrow plan tomorrow's dinner email boss with holiday request days (may not get what I want since I got them the last 3 years) evening routine

Wednesday possibilities (just got home but I will try and get some of this done) bag up items on closet floor to be thrown away sewing project (I actually can't sew but I need to fix something) go through mail hang up laundry find a few more items to throw away in closet pack breakfast and lunch post weigh in on WW site evening routine

Good morning, my prayers and thoughts are with everyone who continue to grieve and experience PTSD on this day of sadness. Friday possibilities Call CVS Take Fall decorations upstairs from basement to decorate this weekend Pay AAA and car insurance Make salad for dinner Look up time for tomorrow's virtual conf. Carol: FYI - Starbucks pumpkin scone is 22 points. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!! I need to look up some healthy recipes using pumpkin because I LOVE PUMPKIN (in sweets not savory.) However, I actually haven't tried a lot of savory pumpkin recipes so maybe I should. I went to a grocery store and couldn't find any pumpkin in a can except organic. They said they hadn't gotten any since Covid 19. Weekend possibilities (going to try and be a little more realistic with my list) 2 hour Zoom Conference Get flu shot Grocery store Buy ink for printer Update budget Put up some Fall decorations Declutter 15x Make card for cousin Evening routine
