This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome!

Got a text at 4:24 AM (and I was sleeping so well) about whether or not we should have neighborhood water aerobics today ? I dare not turn the phone off in case there is an emergency of some kind, but jeez. Fortunately, everyone else didn't start chiming in until later with their opinions. Got up at 7, made coffee, and took a walk... next up is LLI history class, "THE LONG SHADOW of the VIETNAM WAR." Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning,
Another slow start to the day...it rained sometime overnight, but looks like it will clear up later. I still plan on doing things inside today. I am going to run over to the tire store in town and get my tires rotated. So exciting! HA!
Susie, I am so sorry DH is having so much pain. I am glad that the water time helped a little. Maybe hanging out inside today will be relaxing. Wow, too bad about being woken up at such a lousy time! Maybe a little snooze time will be in order today!
Jana, I hope you are able to catch up some, with work. I know I'm going to have a mess when I go back after this week off.
Jill, I sure hope today is a much better day for you!
I am going to start getting some laundry together and try to feel a little more productive! I will be back later. Waving to all,
RobinMD

Good afternoon everyone.
I am hitting my afternoon slump at work. I have been go, go, go since I walked in this morning. I have also had to make some follow up phone calls from Pop's eye dr. appointment yesterday. I decided to take a break and check in with my friends.
Susie what an awful time to send a text about water aerobics. I think I would have had to say something about that and I probably wouldn't have been very polite about it either. I like my sleep. Sorry to hear that DH has been in pain.
RobinMD I hope you are enjoying your time off. I did enjoy my time off but I still have more I want and need to get done on the new house. Sometimes when things slow down at work that is all I can think about is how much more I want to get done at the new house. I have the weekends I guess.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Hey Y'all!
Sorry I'm just now getting here, and I'll go ahead and apologize for no personals. I'm not having my best day ever. I feel like I slept a bit better last night, but then got up this morning, made the bed, took a shower and after my shower was just reaching up to comb out my hair and I felt the muscles in my back seize up. IDK why any time I have an issues with my back, it always seems to be shower related. Lol. Last time it did that when I bent over to shave my leg, and the time before that it was when I was bending over to turn the shower on. It's not like it's a constant thing, but it seems like about once a year I pull a muscle and it always revolves around the shower. Crazy. Anyway, I've been breaking in the new heating pad today and just trying to keep it loose, without moving too far or too suddenly in any one direction. It's hot and sticky outside, so not like I was going to hang out out there anyway, I suppose. I put some bone-in country style ribs in the IP and let it do all the work, so then I'll just pop those in the oven for a few minutes later to let them heat through and kind of caramelize the sauce on them. Then we'll have a tomato & cucumber salad on the side - keeping it super simple.
I did manage to do a load of laundry and used the long BBQ tongs to get the clothes out of that deep black hole of a washing machine. Actually, the tongs were still in the laundry room from when I had my appendectomy in February and couldn't reach all the way into the washer. Yay me...My procrastination in putting them in their proper place finally pays off. ha!
Anyway, I'm crabby as all get out today. But did want to check in. Hoping to be in a better physical and mental condition tomorrow.

Hello Ladies, Jana, "vacation???" Okay, let's call it that. I bet the office is happy to have you back! Susie, 4:30? Who's up then??? Your LLI sounds so fun! I love history. RobinMD, I hope the tire rotation went smoothly. Those kind of appointments don't usually go well for me. I always end up buying more stuff. Lora! Gosh, that's annoying about your back. I hope the heating pad does the trick. (thank goodness you got it) HOw clever to use the tongs for the laundry... gotta do what you gotta do. ๐ Your dinner doesn't SOUND simple... but yummy, yes. Janet, I hope you are doing well. How nice of you to think of the little gifts... so thoughtful! Nothing new today. I am seeing all the news about the schools around the nation... yikes! I guess I can say our situation is kinda working. I do feel blessed. I had a yummy dinner of broccoli, chili( that I freeze in small portions for my "dressing"), and chicken (with garum masala spiceโค๏ธ) and cottage cheese. I put it together as a bowl, and it hit the spot. I hope everyone has a good night.

Hi Everyone, Ugh! I had to do all of the virtual sessions myself. When I went in to look for my meetings nothing was coming up on the schedule and it was time to start. We had just had a quick staff meeting before and our director had told us not to bother our family worker but I had to. I ended up having to use my small tablet. Even tho the wifi was down I have it on the internet by a sim card. I got through the day and didnt have so much of a problem. Our family worker was acting as a host admitting if needed but now I know where to admit but we didnt have so many and it was manageable today thank goodness. Lora, sorry you felt the seizing up again. Susie, that was way too early. What time is your class supposed to start at? Arent most if not all in your neighborhood? I have a lot to do tommorow. My partner's voice was real hoarse so I dont expect much help tommorow with the virtual but I said if she could be just present for some of them that would be good. Have a good rest of tonight.
