September 11th will always be a day of remembrance for the United States. We reflect on those who were killed or injured and how it changed us as a nation. I will have a fairly quiet day continuing to PTMH. I have 6 more handbooks to deliver and will look at the addresses to plan a route before I leave the house. I'm not sure what else I will do but if it is like yesterday, a cool 85 for us, I will definitely take two walks outdoors in the morning. I have no errands so will plan our meals for next week and the grocery lists for shopping Saturday. Saturday is Rob and Whitney's anniversary. Last weekend I gave them a gift card to the Italian deli because our restaurants are only open for outdoor dining and it will be more comfortable indoors. What are your plans today and for the weekend?

We have phone and internet and should have better water as of the waterline changes they are making to the house. Fingers crossed. I will focus on the food and recording what I eat. Once the water is back to "normal" and showers not an issue I will start walking again.
I have read all the posts...see what I can remember...
JUNE: Sounds busy and productive. What did you end up doing with the chicken?
AUDREY: My sister says the fires are horrible and roads clogged with people evacuating. Wishing you luck delivering handbooks and smart idea for the anniversary gift certificate
ANN: You were stung by a hornet? OUCH!
BECKY: Sorry to hear a friend passed on but you are wise not to go to the funeral in bad weather (or with covid-19 lurking)
MJ: So glad to hear Phase Three of Oh Brother Project is now complete and financial issues are all that remain...for now. Glad the YM are doing well and your grandchildren are keeping busy.
SUSI: Hoping work is going well. So sorry to hear that Lily may not be adoptable but better to find out now rather than later. Do you have your eye on any other dogs or are you waiting to look till you hear the final word?
BEE: Sorry your energy level was not high enough to go see Cissy.
LADONNA: I hope work is going well and that you were able to finish up all the church clerical work easily in the evening.
PAM: Hope all is well with you.

Thanks for getting us started, Audrey. 9/11 will always be a somber day. Praying also for all those that lost their lives and for the Military that keep us safe and protected. I am sure that Rob and Whitney are going to love the gift card. I remember when you mentioned that you picked one up for them. Enjoy not shopping and planning your day.
Cathy it is SO good to see you. Happy for phone and internet services and praying that they get the water under control. The hornet sting is gone and I'm happy about that.
MJ prayers continue.
Waving to all.
Today I too have no errands to run. I plan on PTHM and KOKO as I know how. I shall do a little puttering around the house and return a few phone calls. My sister called yesterday and for some reason I didn't hear the phone go off and never noticed the missed call until later in the evening.

Good morning, Audrey - Cathy - Ann - Bee - Becky - June - LaDonna - Susi - Pam - and AWF!
Prayers are going up for those in the path of fire and storm(s).
And a few extra for all the students headed back to their classrooms... whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid...
And we're teaching a new generation (the DGKids) about 9/11.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
Today is an at-home day. The YM are participating in the Township 9/11 remembrance ceremony tonight at 6 PM so the Kressling will be here later.
We had crazy rain yesterday morning (heading out to CC) and again last night after dinner. Interesting, how precipitation seems to "mark" many major occurrences in Toots' & my lives. Today? The sun is shining.
The Kressling wanted to come over yesterday to practice trombone and when Toots went to pick him up, he had a long talk with Son#1. The two MS SurfacePro computers that Russ had thrown away have been repurposed as virtual learning computers for K'ling2 and the Zigster (the Kressling has a ChromeBook for HS). The one that hadn't even gotten out of its box went to the MousekeHouse. And the desktop computer that came from CC is still being worked on, but Son#1 knows what to do to improve its video capability.
Coffee... ☕☕☕... and a quiet, prayerful start to the day...
🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻🍁🍂🍁🌻

Audrey, it is 19 years later and I still cannot wrap my mind around that much hate. Yes, a day of remembrance. Hope Rob and Whitney have a good anniversary. Enjoy your two walks in cooler temps.
Cathy, SO GOOD TO SEE YOU! And so glad services were restored to y'all. I cannot imagine. Sounds like a good plan. I do not feel bad or hurt anywhere, just extremely tired. I will be making an appointment with an oncologist, just to have someone to discuss my progress or lack thereof with.
Ann, sounds like a quiet day for you. Enjoy!
MJ, excited for you and Toots that Phase Three is over. Hopefully Phase Four will be a lot easier. Excited that the computers will be used well by others. Enjoy a quiet day, if you can.
The TB slid down, not a lot --- but a slide is a slide! LOL
Liz just hit the road going home. I was unable to go see Cissy. Maybe this weekend.
Not sure what the day holds except normal stuffs.
Praying for ALL!

That's a thoughtful gift Audrey. I have several gift cards that I just can't justify using until these restaurants are back on their feet. Cathy!!!!! So glad you are here and have some services back. I'm going to wait on final word on Lily. I'm not is a rush. MJ - Glad so much could be repurposed for the GK. Enjoy your quiet day Ann. Hope you enjoyed the time with Liz. Sorry you couldn't go see Cissy. Enjoy your day I will never forget. When I saw the footage of the first plane hitting the building, it never occurred to me what was happening until the 2nd plane hit. And then the Pentagon and last in the fields of PA. Tomorrow Carol and I plan to spend the morning at the beach. It will be cooler and not humid. There's a small bar (in a state park no less) that carries a local brewery so we will have a beer right before we leave. We do it once a year near the end of the season. Sunday I will take an outdoor spin class at 9:15. In between will be the normal errands, ferals, etc. Might even watch some football on Sunday on the deck.

Ready for the weekend. Got a good bit going on but should be some time to rest, also. Laken has gone to the beach with friends and Randy will be at his hunting club tomorrow for a work day. So Saturday is mine. I'm thinking about asking my mom if she'd like to go out and eat. We've only talked on the phone since the pandemic began or talked in the yard (except for the day she came and saw me in the hospital) Audrey, I've also been reflecting on this day. HA toRob and Whitney Cathy, good to hear from you! and glad to hear they are making the changes to the waterlines. Ann, sounds like a nice quiet day ...enjoy that and your favorite MJ, send some rain my way...we were having an abundance and now we are bone dry. Bee, sorry your visiting plans fell thru and that you felt so weak. I pray today is better for you. Susi, sounds like a great weekend...enjoy!

Susi we had several gift cards to various restaurants. I don't feel comfortable in going to any of them...and rather risk the chance of them closing, we decided to gift them to the wonderful family that picks up our trash in our retirement community. They come every Monday and it's a 'family affair' They were very appreciative of the gift that Carl gave them this past Monday. I'm sure they are putting it to good use. I do plan on taking a 'day off' and just enjoying the day. My tummy is on and off and I don't want to push it. Enjoy spending tomorrow on the beach with Carol. Nice they have a local brewery there to serve Also enjoy the football game on Sunday. You have nice things planned to look forward to. Bee, like you I can't wrap my head about that sort of hatred either. Praying that all goes well when you contact the oncologist. Keep us posted. Yes a nice laid back day is on tap for me. My day is somewhat planned. After it's fine tuned I shall track it. Waving and wishing all a peaceful day.

Ann, that's a wonderful way to make use of the gift cards. You've given me an idea for some we have. Bee, putting politics aside it is amazing that President Trump brokered peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The Israelis made their first plane flight to UAE over enemy territory and it is thought that other Middle Eastern countries will follow the UAE. Nineteen years ago our thoughts were on ISIS and the Taliban. It is amazing what takes place in a matter of years and hopefully an incident like 9/11 will never ever happen again. LaDonna, that would be wonderful if you and your mom could go out to lunch. I ran into my friend Diane this morning and she still knows nothing about her home in Huntington. She said she kayaked on the lake every morning and it must have been so beautiful. Our kids went to Camp Gold Arrow there in the summer. MJ, it is awesome that those electronic devices can be repurposed for your grandchildren. cathygeha I am so happy to see you posting again and happy that water and Internet services are returning.

Ann - What a great idea! LaDonna - Hope your mom is up to going out for lunch. Otherwise enjoy your "free" day. Audrey - I hope she finds out about her house soon. Must be so hard not knowing.

Audrey that is so sad that your friend Diane still knows nothing about the state of her home. I can't even begin to imagine that type of devastation. She is in my prayers.
Tummy is still off. I think it's a combo of the ibuprofen I popped. Yesterday my hand 'got in the way' when I was closing the dishwasher!!!! That and the fact that I was in the roasted almonds and cheese and crackers more than I should have been just added to the mix. Live and learn. Sticking close to home today.
Day still isn't fully planned. Hard to do around tummy issues.
Waving.....
