Judy ~ I also saw that unstuffed cabbage recipe. The one I am going to use is 0 SP on Blue WW because I bought the extra-lean ground turkey breast. I just put off making it because I don't know when we will eat it so I think I'll wait a day or two and then throw it in the Instant Pot.
I am eating lunch out tomorrow AND supper (Taco Bar at the birthday party). I am almost sorry both events land on the same day. I go out so seldom and am still very cautious who I hang out with. But lunch tomorrow is with VBF and tomorrow night is my Head Start teachers. Both I trust and have been with already. Not to say we won't be wearing masks because I'm sure we will.
This Ever-Ready Bunny is about to run out of energy! I made the mango salad to take tomorrow and served up leftover IP spaghetti for supper and I think once I sit down I'll be done! I just talked to DH and he is late coming home and stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway. I have the patio down to 3 things to put away (including the grill) and I need his help with all three, then we're ready for the fire pit! Yay!!

LOL Sue....yup I think someone loaded you up with quarters to keep you going Judy that's the only way I like cabbage, raw in coleslaw. Carl, on the other hand loves it. One of our neighbors whenever she cooks cabbage always thinks of him and brings some over. Win win. Sue happy that you found a stop for the grille. I know what you mean by it going easier with two people. Enjoy our meals out tomorrow. Couldn't come at a better time. That way you get to relax My tummy issues are gone...thanks for asking. The ginger ale really helped.

Hello friends,
Ann - I'm glad you are feeling better this evening.
Sue - I'm tired just reading all you did!!! I love the way your change your decor with the seasons and holidays. I'm sure DH will be excited to see all you have done on the patio to make his dream come true.
Judy - I laughed at your "rogue employee". Sometimes you just have to back off and let them self-destruct, especially if they are young. You counsel and try to help them, but when they persist, experience is the best teacher. Just be sure to document your efforts so they don't take you down with them.
Debbie and I encountered "Betty the Bear Lady" today on our walk. She clarified for me that the bear was on the other side of a canal and quite a ways beyond her house. It was already chipped by Wildlife and Fisheries and had been re-homed at least once.
DH and I had oatmeal with blueberries and vanilla for breakfast. We planned to have lunch at a favorite Greek-Lebanese restaurant near the wound care clinic, if it wasn't crowded, since we would have an hour between his wound care appointment and hyperbaric. Well, best laid plans and all that...
The wound was "mascerated" or wet around the edges. The nurse-practitioner was there today and took a long time to clean everything up with various sharp instruments. He didn't feel it was advisable to put the wound vac back on right now, so yours truly will be doing daily wound care. He prescribed a medicine to use when dressing it, but the pharmacy they suggested can't fill it until Monday and it is $80 with insurance. They gave me a tube of something else to use until then. The good news was the wound is slightly smaller and they still feel there's a good chance it will improve.
By the time we left that appt., we had about 35 minutes to get lunch. We were lucky to get a table in a secluded corner and had a very nice server. We explained our short time frame and she got our orders quickly, in to-go boxes and checked us out before the food even arrived. We wolfed down half in the restaurant and stuck the other half in a "cold" bag I brought in the car with ice packs in it, so we could have the leftovers for supper. We made it back for his hyperbaric tx right on time, a minor miracle!
While waiting at the pharmacy (only to find out they couldn't fill the Rx today) I had a chat with Isabelle Mae Welch, who introduced herself to me shortly after asking to borrow $2 to buy a toy. LOL. She was a darling blond girl about 5 years old. Her mom was trying to herd 3 kids, one of whom was apparently in need of medicine and still keep her cool. She calmly and quietly said no to toy requests from various kids several times. I remember those days!
I picked okra and weeded a bit in the garden before a shower drove me indoors. I hope to finish weeding under the trellis so we can plant green beans this weekend, but may be prevented by rain. We have another tropical system headed our way poised to hit both the camp and our home very early Monday and Monday mid-morning. It will be named Stella if it continues to grow and Paulette and Rene are not far behind. PLEASE send me a cold front!!!!
I am glad to report a 1.1 lb. loss today. I am sad that it could have been an additional 1.4 if my weight of the two previous days had held steady. I swear my body has scale fright! Anyway, onward and downward!

Hi all,
Pam, you crack me up with your expressions, too. Betty the Bear Lady! Ha - She could also be hysterical Hannah spreading fear in the neighborhood! I also loved your description of Isabelle Mae Welch panhandling for $2 for a toy. She sounds adorable! Glad the wound is looking pretty good and your get a big gold star for your Nurse Nancy role. It's funny because my hairdresser/friend just sent me a photo of her 5 month old Ayla who she tagged as "Sweaty Betty" after a ride in the stroller yesterday in high humidity.
Sue, you will be the social butterfly tomorrow at two events. I have a garden party to attend for my friend's 60th birthday. She is the "baby" of the book club. lol I had DH pick up a nice bottle of wine at BJs today and I bought a book for her and for another friend who will be there celebrating her 65th. It is an afternoon party and should be over by 6 or so since it gets dark and will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
Ann, I almost spit out my water when you told Sue she needed more quarters to keep going. Sue, you sure do have energy!!! I am a slug next to you. :-)
Dinner was roasted cauliflower topped with grated Parmesan and garlic and haddock with oven fries. A lemon cookie and a tiny bit of ice cream was dessert. I have to have my sweets to look forward to - even just a taste.
DH and I are watching tributes to 9/11. I cannot believe it has been 19 years. My aunt was on the runway in NYC waiting to fly to VA when it happened. She was 76 and somehow made it out of the city in a taxi with about 14 people. Around here, I know so many people who lost family and friends in the Twin Towers. My coworker lost her brother. Thinking of all of them today.
Have a great night all.
