This month is going by quickly. I will continue to PTMH. It helps me not eat above my calorie limit. Yesterday's visit from Nora and Leo was fun for all of us. Leo picked all of the vegetables that needed to be picked. I did not use my exercise bike but got a longer early morning walk and a lot of walking in the grocery stores. I hit about 9000 steps by the end of the day. Today will be quiet. Rob's kids are going swimming at Laura's house and it will be the first time the cousins have played together since March. Whitney rented an AirB and B for December 15th-19th where there will be snow in the mountains near Lake Tahoe and the two families will be going. We just don't hear that much from Rachel, which is her choice. I made tiny roasted potatoes with the steaks and salads yesterday so will make cauliflower mash tonight with the halibut. Cauliflower was just 99 cents a head. It should be cool enough to do some yard work today. I will repair the stuffed animal for Theo and I am not sure what else I will do. Cathy, your water conservation makes me realize how spoiled we are. MJ, bartenders refuse to sell drinks to inebriated patrons so I would hope a decent liquor store owner would refuse to sell so much to an alcoholic. It all seems out of your control unless he is in lockdown rehab and he is an adult who can do what he wants. He probably would prefer to be left alone. Have a relaxing Sunday?

Audrey, in 1996 I went to Laredo, Texas on a missionary trip. These missionaries lived 10 miles out of town and had to haul water from town to their place. You bathed in as little water as possible, and you did not let the water run while you brushed your teeth. Washing dishes was something else also. Yep, we are way spoiled.
I can begin to hunker down for another possible hurricane, Saly, who at the moment is a tropical storm. Think I'm gonna make a big pot of lentil soup.
Do as I know to do.
Waving to ALL, and praying for ALL!

I enjoyed the meal out with my mom on Saturday and our visit. My brother met us at the restaurant then went on to do his own thing after our meal. I over did it Saturday but will hit the reset button for Sunday. Looking forward to church since I missed last week while in the mts. I have more home chores to get done Sunday afternoon.
Audrey the visit from Leo and Nora sounded fun! It also helps me to stay within my points/calories. I feel so much better and get more done.
Hope everyone has a Blessed Sunday.

Bee, we were posting same time There are several storms a swirling out there. Hopefully none of them will do no great harm. We need to send some of the storm rain to Cali to help with the fires. If only that were possible.

Northern CA has a better chance of getting rain than we do. Bee, trips like your missionary trip open our eyes to the rest of the world. We have many poor rural towns with wells that have dried up. LaDonna how nice that you could spend time with your mother and brother. The reset button is always waiting for us.

We will listen to our church service on Facebook. So far not much else planned.I will continue to use my elliptical and house walk.
Bee I hope you are spared from TS Sally. To answer your question they are all called blue dots no matter which WW plan you follow.Since I'm doing green my Fitpoints do show up in green.

I will: track, hydrate, choose Core foods, be positive
I decided I must be on a plateau that is not only a weight I have easily maintained in the past but also due to having lost a bit over 20 pounds so far. I found in the past that plateaus happen about that often for me and then I sit on that number with little ups and downs till my body regroups and is ready to lose again. So, instead of fretting, changing diets, giving up I will instead settle in and stick to the program knowing my body is tightening ligaments and tendons, regrouping and letting muscles adjust etc before it is ready to drop pounds again. I will start exercising again tomorrow and that will help, too.
Talked to our daughter yesterday and she said more cases of covid-19 on campus every day and many of them are not happy as food is not being delivered, services are not great, tests are not done in a timely manner, etc. I hope she stays safe. We talk to our son tonight to learn their news. Hope his family stays safe as the girls go to school for classes, my DIL works in radiology and my son prepares for a one week international trip.
JUNE: How are you doing the online classes? Do you have to give lectures and have online office hours or??? If you don't record lectures then how do you get the information to the students? It sounds like your walk was blissful.
ANN: I don't think we will see temp as low as 46 till December or January! I can't imagine playing cards and sitting with others anywhere with a pandemic on. I am glad Bonnie is not getting together with you if she is exposed to so many germs!
SUSI: I have never heard of the purple or ivory peppers...bet they are lovely! Hope your pool holds the rest of the season. Where do you go with the water when you close down the pool?
MJ: I am so glad you have your family nearby...the immediate family with children and grandchildren. It must be so "normal" to have YM activities, hear music being practiced and be gearing up for all the normal autumn activities! As I read the longer post about Russ and the situation surrounding him I had this vision of a movie with Nicholas Cage in it in which he quit work, moved to Las Vegas and drank himself to death. I don't know why it came to mind but it does sound a bit like what Russ might be doing...escape into a bottle and check out? Anyway, don't envy any of you or even Russ as things are now.
BEE: When I moved to Lebanon and was in Beirut the apartment had no water when we arrived and we had to go to my BIL's house to take showers and do laundry until it started raining and then there was water again. Eventually the apartment dug a well and we had salty water. When water came we would fill the tub with water and buckets, etc. The water in the tub was used till it was gone. Later we also had tanks built and put in to store extra water. It has been ongoing with water, phone and electricity (needing generator or battery backup or UPS) forever. This recent was for almost two weeks but we had stored water so we managed. Some people have to buy water. Your missionary trip and water being carried from afar sounds...even worse than carrying water up 6 flights or more of stairs!
LADONNA: I know you enjoyed the time with your mother and that your brother joined you - hope you enjoyed the food, too.
AUDREY: The fires are wicked...feel so sorry for you, your friends and all the rest. I envy you being with Nora and Leo, though! I have only had cauliflower mash once or twice but the one time I loved it I had it with lentils or mushrooms in a tasty sauce and wanted to repeat it. Need to find the recipe for when cauliflower is in season again.
BECKY: Tracking is what gets me to and keeps me at goal...once i get there. I am glad you can attend church online. I wonder why they have blue dots instead of stars? I think I would prefer a star

Audrey - Sounds like a lovely day and glad two of your children are finally getting together. Bee - So many storms this year but hopefully this will fizzle out as well. Good luck at the oncologist LaDonna - Glad you had a lovely time with your mom and got to see your brother. Enjoy church. Becky - I'm with you. I've been doing this since 2005 and the tracking and planning are just 2nd nature. Ann - Enjoy your cooler day Cathy - I remember being in Cairo shortly after the Camp David accords were signed and it was obviously a country torn by years of wars. Services were sparse. No electricity and little running water during the day as the businesses downstairs used it all while they were open. I learned just what a spoiled middle class person I was from that visit. June- Hope you had a great day. It was very windy and rough at the beach yesterday so we gave up after about 90 minutes and went to a bayside park that was more pleasant. So instead of going to the Inn on the beach, we went directly to the brewery. We brought cheese/crackers/grapes and hummus/pretzel thins and enjoyed a flight of beers. Then we shared a glass of our favorite one. Once we got home, I went for a bike ride. I picked up blue claw crabs for dinner and have enough left to make a crab cake for dinner tonight. Yesterday was a sodium bomb so lots of water today. Looking forward to outdoor spin class at 9:15.

Toots just wandered out of the bedroom and the Kressling's asleep in the guest room and I've been up for about an hour. The cardinal pair that love to sit in the pine trees on the north property line have already been chirping away. The sun's coming up but hiding behind clouds and the temps are cool - Fall is coming!
Yesterday was a mix of indoor and outdoor stuff and two - yes, TWO - NASCAR races: Xfinity at 2 PM and Cup series at 7:30 PM. No NASCAR today but I'm sure that Toots will find something to watch. MissMouse & Spouse and the Mice dropped by, briefly, to pick up the FitBit I'd borrowed from her (that I never used, LOL). I mentioned to the Mouseketeer that we are going to have lots and LOTS of shredding to do, and that we might have to "hire out" to get it all done; he was looking for a way to earn some money.
Today the Kressling has soccer goalie training at 9:30 AM and then possibly a pick-up game later. We'll see.
The rest of our day? Not sure (again). And that's a good feeling (AGAIN!!!).
Coffee... βββ...
π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ» Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»

Good morning. Another great night sleep. This weather is just beautiful. Yesterday I was able to take 3 very long walks. It felt good to be out and about. Hasn't happened in a long time. By the time I got home from my last walk, I was totally exhausted. Guess too much fresh air MJ that's wonderful that you have a day of 'not sure'. Enjoy Susi happy you found a good alternative and enjoyed your day. I can so relate to the sodium bomb. June hope all is well with you, R and DM. Waving. Cathy yes, I am VERY cautious as to who I spend time with. Those with a very active social life, I keep at arms length. Plateaus happen. Your body will drop the weight when it's ready. In the meantime you are doing well realizing this and KOKO. Congrats on your 20# gone. Becky, like You tracking and planning is such a part of my life that I don't even think about it. I write it down on paper first then track it via etools in the weight watcher site. I'm more accurate on paper, though Enjoy your service. Audrey stay safe. So sorry for all those you know that lost their homes. I hope your air quality is improving. My friend in Simi wasn't able to leave the house yesterday due to the air. So sad. Sounds like you had a fun day. That's a great price for cauliflower. Great job on your 9000 steps. LaDonna LOL to hitting reset. So happy you and DM enjoyed your meal. Nice that DB showed up. All good Bee I just LOVE lentil soup. I'm going to have to make that soon. Praying Saly passes you by. Waving and will CBL

Happy to say my day is all planned and tracked. Shower is done as well as two loads of laundry. Working on load #3. Hannaford's has chicken on sale, so Carl will go later on to pick one up. Decided that will make a nice Sunday meal. Sides to be determined...either potato or rice and a veggie. Simple quick and good. He also needs a few other things. I'm willing to pass that trip up.
Waving.............

Some prayer requests please. My dear friend Kara passed away on Tuesday. Her life has been a medical horror story since 9/11 including stage 4 colon cancer and a massive stroke just over a year ago. She was only in her mid 50s. She was one of the first WW board friend that I met IRL. Also 2 of my Diva friends (another group of WW friends from around the country that have met IRL) just had their moms go on hospice, one with kidney failure, the other from heart issues.
