Linda, I hope you managed to get rid of the pain and sleep.
Karen, thanks for the start.
Iggy is doing well. I, OTOH, have been feelIng lethargic and am having stomach issues. Yesterday I stayed in bed most of the day because in addition to that stuff I had a migraine. Today I am feeling better. I have ophthalmologist #1 tomorrow, take Iggy for wound exam on Wednesday, my PCP appt Thursday for flu shot and check up and ophthalmologist #2 on Friday. The eye is almost the same. I see minimal improvement.
DB and family don’t have to evacuate due to fires but the air quality is horrible and they are staying indoors as much as possible. He sent me a video and it looked like brown fog close to the ground because of smoke.

Kathy, I don't think I knew the history of "Eyes", as it is called. That's something you don't learn in Longhorns 101.
Hope you're feeling better today, Linda. Are you continuing to have cooler weather? Did Bob hide all the goodies so you won't be tempted?
Becky, I was going to watch the Carolina Panthers on CBS yesterday, but the game they were broadcasting locally was Miami and NE. I have never figured out how they choose which games are shown where. I don't watch many NFL games but, as with all of the pro sports right now, if there is a cause they believe in I'm ok with their using their voice, even if I don't always agree with the way they do it.
I was a bit concerned when you didn't check in, Chele. I'm glad you're feeling better but sorry you still aren't yourself. You'll have a busy week and it's good that a trip to the PCP is on the schedule for you. Maybe you can get some answers or at least get the process going to find out what's ailing you. I know you want the eye problem to be cleared up NOW, but even minimal improvement sounds like a good thing. I agree with you on disliking shorter days. I hate the DB and family are having to shelter in place, but glad they don't have to evacuate the fires and hope that will be as bad as it gets for them. I've seen photos of that brown fog (it was orange in San Francisco). Not good to breathe.
Denise, we've cooled off a few degrees here, but are expecting upper 70s later in the week, which we haven't had for quite some time. I like Summer, but prefer Spring. Hate Winter. Enjoy spending that OT, even if it's just paying off bills. Hope you can do something fun for yourself.
How was your weekend, Liz? How is Zoe doing with her UTI?
We got about 1/2" rain yesterday evening, so no watering today. I put away my swimming stuff so I'll be using the bike instead and I haven't been on it for a while, so it was a bit of a challenge this morning. We tried to view the front gate from the camera there yesterday only to discover the camera doesn't seem to be working. So I had to make an appointment to get that looked at on Friday. Dale did a small grocery trip this morning while I washed towels and rugs and did the usual Monday cleaning. I also cooked a butternut squash that I haven't taken out of its shell yet. This afternoon I need to cook ground Turkey for Arya's dinners and still have a little cleaning left to do. I just heard on TWC that southern AL is now under a hurricane warning, so I'm waiting to hear from DB regarding their status.

Good Afternoon Chicks and Happy Monday!
Chele - how are you feeling today after that migraine and the stomach issues yesterday? I'm so sorry you were feeling so poorly!! I'm glad Iggy seems to be doing good but it surely will be a busy week for you with the doctor's appointments! I was exhausted Friday evening and had a hair appt. on Saturday that I just barely made. I was up early with the pups to get them out and feed them then laid back down and zonked out. Weather is warm here today almost 80 but only a high of 69 tomorrow in the city! I'm sending good wishes and karma that something positive will come from the appointments with Ophthalmologists 1 & 2 this week.
Kathy - I watched a bit of the Eagles/Washington game until it fell apart and the Eagles went from 17-0 to losing the game. How is the weather today? Are you having rain still?
Linda - how is the toe doing? Are you feeling better today from that wicked migraine? I haven't had auras in years but they used to scare the dickens out of me. Sounds like DH is having a severe case of stress eating with the impending election and whatever in heavens name will happen after. Are you being affected by the air quality from the west coast? Dear heavens the pictures I've seen are just horrendous!
Hello to Moonriver/Denise - hope you're doing well and getting some relaxation after the OT you were putting in.
Karen - glad you were able to get out on the lake with the kayak over the weekend. Sounds like you were cooking up a storm for Arya and Dale. Teeth are still bothersome and I'm not having much luck with anything other than soft foods. Gary did take me out for outdoor dining Sat. evening to a Mexican restaurant we haven't been to since before Surge. It was a lovely cool evening and the food was very good. I had broiled mahi mahi with salsa verdi sauce and brown rice they also had broccoli on the plate but there was no way I could even begin to tackle that. I've been living on oatmeal, last week turkey meatloaf and riced cauliflower/mashed cauliflower and soup. I did manage a nicely ripened watermelon quarter that I cut up into very small pieces but it was a victory! Zoe has me very concerned, it's her last day of UTI meds and she is still excessively drinking water, having accidents in the house and excessively panting. Gary left a message with the vet today because I am not comfortable with the way she is behaving. Wally is practically dehydrating with us trying to keep Zoe's water in-take to a minimum. It's scary to me because it reminds me too much of when they thought she had Cushings. Hopefully Gary will speak to the vet, otherwise it will be a day off for one of us to take her. How's the gardening going? Are the succulents still doing well? Gary's Rasta plants have become so large that they are almost overtaking the front walkway. They have flowered nicely but they aren't my particular favorites. I'm ready for some hearty mums in autumn colors!
Well dear ladies, I am off to fight the forces of evil once again. It's a weird time in our world and especially odd here in the city! Be safe, feel well and ciao for now~

Liz..that sounds like doggie diabetes...we went through similar in July and Micki is now in insulin. Hope not.
Hard to sleep with lingering head ache, but mostly gone this morning. Air was cleaner this morning with sun with wind from East, but seems dead now. Eyes starting to sting again now.
We love shorter days...less sun equals less misery. temps are moving up.for a while ..104 today.
Becky, how are the legs and knee? What PT are you on now?
Kathy, rain from hurricane?
Got myself up to wash hair (dyed it and always need to tone it down a day later by washing), do load of laundry, change from light sneakers to dark for my darker capris, get some citrus fertilizer, pay my half year Property taxes at the bank,Pick up couple things at TJs, And drop off stuff for Good Will.
I think I have developed auto distance radar like new cars. I sort of get into a store and something makes me think...move. Masked but still keeping six feet or more when possible or back turned in aisle. My only social interactions these days are with people behind plastic cashier shields or medical people.
been reading about vaccines. If we get Pfizer's, it has to be stored at minus 94 degrees F, which most places cannot do. So distribution will be limited by that. Then comes WHO first, etc. and it is two shots and you must have same company's Vaccine first. dr Fauci says even with it, most of 2021 will be like this.
According to reliable news source in the paper today, if you have relatives overseas , most embassies in S. And Central America had their drop boxes for absentee ballots taken away. The others say 4-6 weeks to get the ballots to where they belong. Overseas mail has been slowed with the new post office guy. So your relatives had better vote as fast as possible.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I'm glad Iggy is doing well and hope you feel better soon. You seem to be having a round of physical problems.I guess 2020 really is the year that keeps on giving.I hope it quits giving so much to you.I'm glad your DB doesn't need to evacuate.Prayers for him and his family.
Karen When you went to UT there wasn't a problem with the Eyes of Texas. It traces back to a minstrel show where the characters had black faces.I don't have a problem with college football having causes but I don't go along with anyone taking a knee to our freedoms and the flag and it just seems to go downward from there.I didn't even watch the Cowboys last night.I'm glad you are cooling off and getting rain. Other than humidity the weather hasn't been unbearable. It was 79 at 11:00 this morning which is most unusual and it felt great with the breeze. Our high was only 90 so I can definitely stand anything under 100.
Liz Good to hear from you again.I know you are beyond exhausted on your weekends.I hope Zoe is okay.
Linda The legs are still stiff and tight.I'm still waiting on insurance to approve any PT for 2 weeks. The clinic didn't call me today but she said she wouldn't find out anything until sometime this afternoon at the earliest. They aren't open again until Wednesday so if I don't hear then I will call them again I guess.Sounds like you had another busy day.

Chele, you have the kind if week I hate..one medical thing after another. Hope this ends soon.
Micki got a 1/3 mile walk tonight. I am not sure How much extra exercise he can have. His insulin dose is based on consistency...have to ask tomorrow. But walking again plus walking in big open stores is helping me...started get weak legs being inside with virus, heat, then smoke.
