This challenge was created eight years ago by a few Weight Watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isnβt always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas for following the plan.

GOOD MORNING! love light blessings and good health! September 14, 2020. Monday. 726 AM CST
Jan very happy that fires are being contained. I do hope that continues.
Carol thanks for the reminder that my body is a gift! I know I need to treat mine better. I also struggle with getting a good night's sleep but managed last night with the help of two melatonin. It does leave me groggy.
Nat politics are very upsetting right now. I am trying to distance myself from them because of my aforementioned difficulties with sleeping and trying to treat my body better.
Sally waving "hi" to you and to grandbaby!!
And my notes became illegible while I refreshed my coffee so ignore anything that is inaccurate or inapplicable please.
YES I DID: a too long walk yesterday which is causing my knee talk (or maybe we are getting rain), chores, weight workout. Dinner with MF (he said chicken soup/white bread was good). Deliver chicken soup/white bread to friend and find a new creek/park and an outdoor concert! (yes MF drove). I did not get to my home ab circuit unfortunately but got a lot of other things done.
YES I CAN: eye doctor this morning. Gym and maybe a swim. This afternoon treat myself to a pedicure. More medical appointments this week. I might get to home ab circuit. love light and blessings janet

Happy Turn the Page Monday!
Yes, I did... --stick to my program and made it through Day 1 and Day 2 (Today). --check in with my diet buddy a few times today. Stronger Together. --walk with my artist friend this morning for 45 minutes. Enough for our first walk in awhile. Another one scheduled for Thursday morning. --prep food for tonight and tomorrow. Grilled Shrimp and asparagus tonight.
My Thought for the Day is: Good luck is no more than opportunity meeting preparedness. Prepare for success! Let's DO this.

Good Morning!! love, light, and blessings, love, light, and blessings. Good health to everyone! Tuesday. September 15, 2020.
Hi Sally! Hi Nat! Hi Carol!
Hey Jan! Yes, let's do this!! My MF is pre-diabetes and I am trying to convince him that wheat bread is just as good as that soft white bread he likes for me to bake him. I have not convinced him to eat fish but sneak a salad into every meal.
Yes I did: eye appointment! There is a new technology that avoids the eye dilation which is awesome. I did order new glasses although the prescription really did not change -- I think in this day and age having spare eyeglasses is a really good idea. I also did weights, part of the home ab circuit, swimming, and walking. I rewarded myself with a new pedicure after accomplishing all of that. Zero law done and a good night's sleep. Yes I can: full home ab circuit, walking, straighten up the house some, weight training class, chores, help MF with some paperwork this afternoon. Tonight: weight training class. Hopefully sneak in some law somewhere in all of that! If not, maybe taking a couple of days to get chores done is not a bad thing. love light and blessings janet

Good Tuesday evening! Just popping in before I forget to. We're hanging in there here on the mountain. Getting some pretty good updates. Watched live one tonight, so feeling pretty confident I'm safe on my side for now. They have good plans in place. The resources are just so stretched thin with 5 states on fire right now! Some good rain would be nice. Waving to all for now, just kind of out of it. I'll be sure to check in tomorrow! Nat

Good Morning!! love light blessings love light blessings good health and prayers that rain puts out the fires.
Hi Jan! Hoping you are busy in a happy/good way.
Carol you are making huge progress on decluttering and hooray for cool morning walks. Our mornings aren't bad here and I have the AC off and the windows open.
Sally thanks for the reminder on small portions. I am no longer sure I know what a small portion is!! I guess I need to figure that out.
Nat I am very glad that you are hanging in there. Prayers that rain makes everything safe and clean.
Yes I did: walking, full home ab circuit, weight class, and a lovely swim. I did very little on my business but helped MF with his. I have agreed to help him this afternoon if he needs me and then I am going to have to focus on my own business. Spinning class this morning.
Now hang out wash and check the mail! Home ab circuit. love light and blessings janet

Happy Wednesday Morning.
Tried checking in last night but computer just froze halfway through my post. So frustrating! Thankfully my Sweetie fixed it. Day 3 (yesterday) went well. I feel as if I am getting a handle on this and am slowly coming back into the fold.
Yes, I Can... --watch the nighttime eating. Plan. Maybe an apple and an oz of cheddar in the evening? --not get too tired. I like to keep busy but I also need to know when I am out of gas. --walk tomorrow morning. Maybe an hour and more hills.
Nat: Doing the rain dance for all the West. Glad you are safe.
Sally: Portion control is so important and so easy to lose track of. You remind me I need to measure more and track EVERYTHING.
Janet: I know you're younger than I am but I don't know how you do all that you do. And homemade wheat bread sounds even more delicious than white. Especially with a pat of grass-fed butter.
Carol: Your cool weather sounds perfect for walking. You actually get to wear a coat! I am still in shorts and thank goodness for that because my jeans are tight. Are the leaves falling and all that in NY yet? Do your birds fly south?
Well, I'd best get started on the housework. The garden has called me way too often and the stove top and kitchen floor need a deep cleaning. Have a lovely day!

Good Morning!! love light blessings love light blessings and good health!
Hi Sally! Hi Nat! Hi Carol!
Hey Jan, yes wheat better than soft white but MF hard to convince of that. But after venturing on the scale yesterday -- I need to stay away from the bread machine totally for a bit. Sorry about 'puter woes. I do know what you mean about housework. My quick once over with the swiffer only gets me so far.
Yes I did: unpleasant chores and errands. Finish up a typing project for MF because I promised him I would. Short walk, home ab circuit and spinning class. I have been OP and need to stay that way. Yes I can: stick to tofu/fish and stay away from bread! Weight class tonight. Short walks. Lots of law starting now. Helping MF put me way behind but I know how much he has helped me so only fair to help him.
love light blessings and good health to everyone! janet

Happy Thursday. Not really a great day so far as our fridge died last night and it was an ice and ice chest scramble this morning. Also my Sweetie's boss is probably on her last week or two now. I'm sad but I know she has been in great pain and wants to go "home". My Sweetie and the "team" have allowed her to stay in her actual home and thankfully her daughter is coming tomorrow to be with her. So hard to let those old folks go. Yes, I did... --a hot, sweaty hill walk this morning with my artist friend. I needed this for my head just as much as for my body. --finally got that stove and kitchen floor deep cleaned yesterday along with a couple of loads of laundry. --stayed on track through most all of the negative stuff that's been swirling around me and some of my good friends. Staying Grateful. Trying to stay cool on a hot day. Jan

Good Thursday afternoon!
I had trouble logging on yesterday....& lost my post from earlier today when my iPad lost its wifi connection briefly. oh well!
Janet - kudos for helping your friend despite being busy. Also, I would have lots of trouble staying away from homemade bread. I don't feel at all tempted by store-bought bread unless I can smell it baking...which is why our local supermarket had their in-store bakery at the front, LOL.
Jan - so sorry about your tough day....hope tomorrow's better. Our weather has been typical early autumn lately, i.e. cool at night & warming by 15-20 degrees by late afternoon. Today & tomorrow will be cool all day, so maybe a long hike for me later. The birds....many are year round residents, like the sparrows, cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, titmice. I don't know how they manage to survive the cold! They do glean some scraps from fields at the local farms but I'm sure they really appreciate the bird feeders come winter. There are lots of canada geese in the ponds and bays around here now but most of them and most of the ducks migrate before it turns really cold.
Hi, Sally, hi Nat!
yes I did: --have a nice coffee with a good friend yesterday, outside on her deck. Then we drove to a couple neighborhood book boxes that she has adopted, in the city, and filled them with school supplies, books and such. --neighborhood walk --monthly computer club board meeting via Zoom
yes I can: --practice more for my cello lesson....got to get my head in gear again! --work at winding down earlier to get more sleep, so silly to stay up so late
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!!! love light blessings and good health. Friday. 9.18.2020. 618 AM
Hi Nat, Hi Sally.
Oh Jan very sorry about all of that. I am glad you got in a walk. Walks help much.
Carol sorry about puter problems, hooray for getting kids books and school supplies. Hooray for books.
Well, interesting times here in Texas. Probably better to not to put more than that on the world wide web. Yes I did: get a lot of law done, my weight training class, and home ab circuit. Checked in at the Farmer's Market, not much available but I did buy all the squash they had and treat myself to some cut flowers. I cooked up a mess of fish. Trying to avoid bread because, yes, smelling it cooking makes it irresistible. Yes I can: stay OP and away from bread. Spinning class. Start yard. On days I mow no need for home ab circuit because my old fashioned reel mower is a total body fitness machine. Okay, lots of law starting now. Sooner I start, sooner I finish. love light and blessings janet

Happy Friday! Bought a new fridge yesterday and that was not as easy as it used to be. Lots of models sold out of many stores. I finally visited a local company, who in the past helped us find my beautiful large stove, but unfortunately, it can't be delivered till Wednesday! So we went out and bought a mini fridge for milk, eggs, etc. To top it off my SIL is flying down tomorrow from the Bay Area for a visit. No fridge and a house guest! Well, I won't be cooking so it's going to be a challenge eating out healthfully. I CAN do this.
Carol: I love thinking about your birds and hikes in the woods and farms. Takes me to a lovely mental space. Love that you and your friend help with books and school supplies. Are the kids going back in your area?
Janet: Now I am curious about what's going on in TX. Will ask my Cousin in Arlington. Agree that lawn mowing is a full body workout...and I have an electric mower! We have really thick grass though and the mower is not self-propelled. Good for you treating yourself to flowers.
Sally: Happy Holidays to you. Hoping you can find some good safe fellowship.
Nat: Is this your first day of new job? If so hope it's going well. Sending good MOJO.
Yes, I CAN... --work my way through this minefield called life. The way out is the way through. --be creative with fridge-free meals. LOL. --stay cool on another hot day. --take my SIL on some evening walks in the neighborhood.
May we be happy. May we be healthy. May we all be honest and live in peace...and have some rain in CA.
Jan

Good Friday noon, positive π₯π₯!
Yes I DID: --have a good cello lesson yesterday...my teacher is so encouraging, I truly enjoy the lessons even when I haven't practiced much during the week, LOL! --sleep better....yay for snooze button...thankful that the new dance class is at 10 instead of 9 --s-t-r-e-t-c-h my brain & legs at my Tap class this morning. It's a good thing....and a reminder I really, really need to keep practicing to keep up the pace. Even a few minutes a day would help.
Yes I CAN: --embrace equanimity at grocery trip today. --get out for a relaxing walk in nature later on, as a reward.
Be well! Carol ~~~~~~~~~ Jan, we were posting at the same time.....good luck with the new fridge! One of my favorite modern conveniences, for sure. (Also, washing machines & dryers.....cannot imagine hand washing all clothes nor hanging them to dry (in our basements during the winter.)
