Good Friday almost afternoon here! No Jan, I'm supposed to start on 10/5, BUT on Wednesday when I emailed my HR/union people who I'm supposed to be checking in with and told them I accepted the job on Friday, the union wrote back and said we are in the process of reviewing the postings and making sure all the class bidding rules were followed....so as they will "keep me in the loop" here I sit waiting for that loop to get around to me. No clue if I have a job or not. But my vacation from there starts now and hoping the fire down in Palm Springs that started yesterday will not be a threat for next week's trip. It's pretty much right there where we are supposed to be going. On our fire, we lost a hotshot firefighter last night. Still waiting for the news of where he was from, here or another hotshot battalion. Very sad. No good update since yesterday morning, so clueless about what's happening out there. No evacuations yet for our area though.
Jan, too bad your fridge will not show up until after guest!! You can do it Janet, hoping all is not too crazy in TX. Nice of you to type that up for MF, especially since he really has helped out a lot. Hope you can get him to embrace wheat LOL! My DH is embracing a whole lot more these days since his diabetes. Lots of things I suggested several years ago, others suggesting now and he's all for it. Moral, do what's right for you, eventually they'll come around Carol, hope you got out for your relaxing walk today, sounds like something I need. Waves Sally!
Yes I CAN: Get the big weeds pulled outside before someone calls in a fire hazard on us LOL. (Stacked at least half a cord of wood yesterday that was thrown in our yard.) Keep up my stepping. Watch my food choices. Give myself grace, I'm over the top reaching my limit of major stresses right now. So just breathe.....but not the smokey ash-filled air out there!
Enjoy the day, smile!
