TRUSTING TUESDAY ~ I need to TRUST MYSELF to do the right things... things that will be good for me - and make me a happier & healthier person!! I am not "unhealthy", but know I would feel BETTER if I would eat better/differently than I have been! Yes part of it is the clothes that I am having to buy - at "that size" again - "that size" that I vowed I would never BE again!! Yet ~ HERE.WE.ARE.!
SO... started (over again) yesterday - will continue today... need to make myself the focus for a day or two!
I started tracking on the "bites" site... it is difficult in the beginning ~ to get your favorites all lined up, and to just maneuver the new site - But... it also helps keep me focused! I know that I need to track as I go - rather than wait to track it all at once! LOL I also got my 100 oz of liquids yesterday... half were plain water. Today will be my 1st "wine challenge"... yesterday I wasn't home after work - so no wine! Today I will get home and be cooking dinner, and prepping for tomorrow... so that will be my most challenging time!! I have a plan for that time though - so hopefully I can conquer that 1st challenge!!
I also hit 5k steps yesterday! It has been a while - I think! I know Wal-Mart counts as steps, but not exercise! Today I have to walk a couple streets over from the bank - to meet a friend (she made me some holiday masks) so that will be SOME "walking" for today!
OK let me refill my coffee and catch up a bit before time to get ready for work! ♥

So all in all, my Monday Mindset went well. I opted for a buffalo chicken wrap - instead of a big grinder roll! Not sure the "bites" difference, but will try to plug my wrap into my tracker and see how I actually fared for the day!
Sue: Did you sign up for "bites" too?? It is kind of familiar ~ but just different enough to make me SMH! LOL Mmmm, BLTs again?
Gabrielle: Oh dear... so sorry your DM needed you all day Sunday! Sounds like a pacemaker might be just what she does need? Is she amiable to that?? OH I so hope you get to make that drive in a couple of weeks!! YAY for TM time anyway... good luck rearranging your schedule!
I don't think the website will let me track... I may be wrong ~ Didn't have a lot of time on it yesterday... I sometimes prefer to just track here - not on my phone. But we'll see what I can figure out! I was wavering between Carb conscious and Sugar Smart, but after they asked those silly questions - "they" decided I need Sugar Smart! LOL I know I can change it, but why would I??
To be honest ~ I am not sure at what level Eden is writing yet! Maybe an idea for a Christmas gift though... I found a "space" workbook yesterday I will put in her Halloween Pumpkin! I think she will like that!
Did your winds change?? I so hope you can breathe a little easier soon! It will also help the harvesting of the grapes if the workers can actually breathe out there too! Time for the early morning lights?? Isn't this when harvesting starts before sunrise??
OH I think you need to drag Ed out to dinner some night! YES... it is safe to eat out my friend... probably "safer" now than 9 months ago!
Jo: I signed up for a new (diet) plan... called "I Track Bites"... Gabrielle had heard it on a podcast and mentioned it - so I am giving it a try! Anyway ~ After answering the questions, to make my profile - they determined I should be on the Sugar Smart Plan... and there is an on line coach for that specific plan! Not a 1on1 coach, but just read her blog sort of thing. It is always interesting to re-read things you already know, but seem to have "forgotten" along the way!
Oh Jo {{{hugs}}} to you as you deal with the "stuff" surrounding your DMs death. Hopefully you and your sisters can do it all without the family drama that Ken dealt with. Don't let the $$ become an issue between you all! Good luck to you - and hey GF? You don't HAVE to deal with it all in one day! Cut yourself some slack - grieving is not done on anyone's time schedule but your own!
Sue: Geeze, you really did get in there and get it set up! WHEW! I can barely track... now you have me wondering why I didn't see options to link my Fitbit, etc.! THIS is why I prefer to have it on my computer... I come home from work, and set my phone down to charge and I don't touch it until time to go to work in the morning! Which plan are you doing?
I had a small bowl of lettuce & tomatoes cut in the fridge - leftovers from taco night, so that was my salad to go with my soup yesterday! I have another squash soup for today - then I think I have to pull my pea soup from the freezer for the rest of the week! I bought a pre-made salad at Wal-Mart last night for today's lunch, since I knew coming home last night I would NOT be put it in the recipe builder thing - but WHO has that kind of time? UGH!
LOL - OK - Apparently YOU have time to build a recipe!
Eh, we ate at a place that doesn't have grinders - so the choice was easy... for now!
I did - I did! LOL I tracked most of yesterday...
Hmmm, not sure the air on a plane is better than "anywhere", but Eh - it is what it is... we all do it when we can! Interesting that if you fly you may have to quarantine... never thought of that!
OH! I am kind of surprised you got the Sugar Smart plan... you are not a big sweet eater! Interesting! I'm not either though - when it asked and I said "junk food" they must have thought I meant sweets... mostly I meant chips and crackers - that kind of stuff! Huh!

OK Off to check out the bites site again... see if I can finagle anything else out of the actual website!
Supper tonight is a quick chicken fajita/salad dinner. I also want to cook up some ground beef that I bought for a couple of meals this week. I have leftover mashed potatoes sow ill make a quick Shepherd's Pie, then Tracy is making a Big Mac Bowl for dinner another night. Might have the girls Friday night - so that will mean chicken nuggets or hot dogs or pizza! Decided on pulled pork for Sunday dinner. Between closing the pool and football it seems the easiest to deal with at this point!
Might be back later... to occupy my time while cooking supper? LOL
Make it a great day ladies ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Well, the winds may have shifted, but the smoke is only slightly better. Maybe today will be even better? Not sure. DH should hear this week about the grapes....fingers crossed. So my exciting EARLY start to the day was letting the dogs into the backyard where they promptly ran into a skunk! Yuck....the smell of a skunk close by is overwhelming. So two sad faces were fed outside and are desperately looking at me through the back slider. They are going to need to be outside for a while--and they are lucky as it is 68 degrees and dry--it could be much worse. We are going to have to figure out how the stinky little fellow got into the back yard. Uggh.
Carole: Hope that you have a good day today--sounds like you will get some walking in? I am glad that you looked at the site---it sounds like Sue is ahead of all of us, LOL. I did see how to connect my Fitbit. My plan is the Carb Conscious plan as they said that one more closely aligned with Points Plus so I decided to give it a whirl. So far I am still tracking and will look at the recipe builder, etc. this weekend I hope. Yum, pulled pork sounds good! I wonder if you could make your own little bit of it with the sugar free bbq sauce and pork? Or you don't have to have a bun or bread with it? Regardless, it will be nice to have everyone over. LOL, I don't think I will be getting DH in a restaurant any day soon....but thank you for trying. Baby steps I guess.....Oh a science workbook sounds right up Eden's alley! She seems to love the stars, etc. How fun to see their interests developing....
Sue: Wow, you are so good about diving in and figuring out the ITBs tools, etc. I can learn from you! Glad that you will get a good chair --- yes, it is important. I am glad to be at the office with the option of my ball chair and standing desk--good to have choices. I am so glad that your NE trip is still on the calendar--there is so much that could happen. In CA things are really so much better now...I hope that we see that continue and that it happens everywhere. Hope that you have a good day!
Jo: So sorry that it is still so hard. I think that grieving comes from all sides and lasts a while...no rhyme or reason to any of it. Regardless, I hope that you can find someone to talk to to take care of yourself. Someone who can simply listen.
Okay, time to get moving. I STILL smell skunk! Yikes....what excitement so early in the day. See you all later!

Morning Carole and all to come...it's a chilly only out there...only 48° but thankfully I closed windows last night when it started to cool down and it's still 71° inside. Want to check a few options for breakfast points-wise....have the food scale ready to weight my chicken for lunch.....time to break out the measuring cups, scales and stop "eye-balling" my portions. Did go over in points last night....opted for wine and MAN, that kills the tracker!! Need to really make tracking a goal for the day!! Time to grab more coffee and catch up for a few minutes before I gather my lunch and get ready to start the day!!
Gabrielle...glad you got some TM time yesterday....sorry your Saturday kind of fell apart with your mom's issues. Sounds to me like a pacemaker is the way to go at this point. Did DM say anything as the doctor talked or was she still kind of "out of it" It's definitely something to think about at this point.
Yes Gabrielle...I do feel this app is a better combo of the old WW and MFP app....combines the points (bites) of WW plus the macros that I liked in MFP. I have found that website does not have a tracking option...seems to be all in the app!! I want to download it onto my iPad to get it a little bigger and easier to maneuver. I do love the scan option....
Oh Gabrielle...I love dill pickles and some other flavors too but NOT on a BLT....they over power every other flavor!! LOL!!
Hugs to you Jo...it's hard losing a parent...I still have days and my dad has been gone 4 years already....good idea to speak to folks about putting any inheritance in a safe, well invested account....still have many years to let it grow until you retire but it doesn't HAVE to be done today!! Get the information/documents and talk to many.....honestly, in time the moments of tears/blahs will come less often and you will again think of the wonderful happy memories....but sometimes those empty feeling rear their ugly had and sadness comes back but doesn't seem to last as long. You will get through this and get back to life....♥♥♥
WTG Carole....glad you are taking on the challenge of tracking again...we can do this together....I need accountability to help me focus and stay the course. My first official WI will be Thursday and that in my head is the official "re-start" of this journey for me.....these few days before then are my practice/fact finding days!!! We can do it!!
OK....need to get moving....want to pack my lunch box and track it before I leave!

Evening all...Jason brought my Cubii in the house last night and I charged it today while at work....decided that I need to make the commitment to that so I unpacked my lunch box, changed my clothes and set out to do 30 minutes before getting onto the computer.....last time I used it I had maxed out the resistance at 8 but had to back it off a bit to #5 to start...will admit my legs feel a bit like rubber!! I hope to manage at least a 1/2 hour daily and maybe more on the weekend if home or if I have extra time....might be able to fit in 15 minutes in the morning before work if I am organized when it comes to lunches??? For now....just starting is a good thing!!
Carole...yes, I signed up for "bites" and actually took advantage of the 1/2 price special for a year of "extras"....recipe builder for one thing...I loved that about the MFP app and figured if it makes me more focused on food and it's values I will be more apt to keep going!! BLT's have been moved to Thursday now.....Jason called a bit ago and asked if I could put them off so he could dust some of the veggies at the lot since it is very calm tonight.....no biggie to me, Thursday if fine. Want to check the "bites" on that before I eat it so I know how to plan my Thursday....with Thursday being Day #1 of my week, don't want to use too many weeklies on day #1~ LOL! I'm on Sugar Smart but I toyed with Carb Conscious too but I would only get 26 "bites" and figured 30 was low enough to start...I can always change it down the road. Honestly...I have not tracked in well over a year and it's starting to catch up with me....when COVID hit and I got furloughed I basically threw caution to the wind and didn't care.....need to get back to real focus!! I checked "emotional eater" so maybe they think junk food there??? I'm a salty snacker like popcorn...not sweets!! Who knows, I'll just go with it and can change later if I think I need to.....
Gabrielle...I agree with Carole....while I have only been "inside" to eat at Cracker Barrel I was very impressed with the measures in place to keep distant and safe....will be curious to see what it's like at Chili's tomorrow.
Apparently Carole the air exchange/filtering in an airplane happens often and the air is cleaner than the air in stores and other places. I heard today that the plane restriction at work is lifted....Gloria's sister flew to SC this week and she was told she had to quarantine when she got back because of destination and flying but when she double checked they said that the flying is no longer an issue but SC is still a "hot spot"!! I'm
Gabrielle...glad the winds have shifted...believe it or not, thanks to the jet-stream we actually have "smoke effects"....it just looks hazy and Jason said the sunset last night was really "cool"!! Bummer about the skunk...hopefully the weather stays nice enough that the dogs won't mind being outside until they smell better!! Oh my, I'm not that far ahead of you and Carole on ITB....I just decided I needed to "hit the ground running" and give it my all!!
Honestly Gabrielle...I'm surprised that Ed won't go to a restaurant for as much time as he spends with his friends and at the fruit stand.....we have been in 2 different Cracker Barrels and they have most tables blocked off, no salt shakers or other things on the tables....
I got my chair about 9:00 this morning when Eric made his first loop between the main plant and ours.....my back is MUCH happier tonight....amazing the difference a good chair makes!! Had another crazy busy day and it started with the internet being down for 90 minutes but thankfully we had plenty of things to do to get more caught up...plus I had printed all the MEAP orders yesterday before I left so still had them to "stuff" in plastic sleeves.....that took 25 minutes so was not so bad....everything was fine the rest of the day!! Gloria and I are still finishing up YESTERDAY's orders and have a mountain of today orders to start out day tomorrow!!
