finreporter, Oh, over the years I've gotten tired of people's song-and-dance routines and ghosted them.

Dd and I got our flu shots on Saturday. I've never had a reaction in the past, but Sunday I was laid flat. I got up, feeling tired, and after feeling dizzy I went back to bed and didn't get up again until almost noon. I ended up sleeping most of the day. I felt warm, but no fever. I feel better today, but still not 100%. I wonder if it's the result of the high dose shot.

i went to make an appointment at minute clinic at CVS for flu shots for me and the girls but there were no convenient appointment times so i'll try again this week.

Ron got a postcard from his employer saying they have free flu shots this year. I think he and JD will both get them, for my sake since I can't take a vaccine because of the GBS I had. There's no real long-term evidence that it can trigger a relapse, but I'd rather not repeat that crisis.

I got my flu shot on the 13th. I've never had any reaction other than the sore arm.
I also got the first Shingrix dose. These were both at CVS. They had me wait a while after the shots in case there was any issues after the Shingrix. I did feel a bit flushed and light-headed immediately after but that quickly passed. Then just two sore arms for a couple of days.
