I have FILTHY RICH set to record. not sure If I am going to like it but going to try it.
Glad you liked THE WHOLE TRUTH. that was me that reviewed it. I can usually figure out the ending but boy I was sure way off on this one. loved it and thought the acting was really good.
Going to try FLESH AND BONE which I knew about
Have to check to see if I have AMC on my line up. don't think I do. But SOUL MATES sounds like something I would like. almost sounds like a BACHELOR type show but more interesting. Had not heard about it, so thank you. !!

Thanks for the recommendations! Keep them coming. I drove by the closest movie theater yesterday and thought about how much I missed going there. You are all helping me through this mess.
I guess I was not alone. SCHITT''S CREEK took every comedy award at the EMMYs. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I feel somewhat less weird.

Connie, Thanks for recommending THE WHOLE TRUTH. This one had me stumped, too.

Finally started on Van Der Valk. I'm liking it fine, not madly in love with it. So far, I haven't noticed the music. For some reason the English accents are bugging me. But it would be worse if they had American accents. Do I really expect them to try to fake Dutch accents? Maybe so...
I'm chuffed that Succession snagged some big awards. One of my favs.

We watched the documentary series on The Challenger space mission. There were four episodes and it was extremely well done, but devastating. Sadly, NASA was under a lot of pressure and the lives of the people on that mission, should have been saved by postponing the launch.
My DD and I watched the first episode of Away tonight....WOW!
We have The Whole Truth from Netflix by mail, thinking that our spouses might like that.
Thank you for all the great suggestions.
Ruth, that dance film sounds wonderful.

Thanks for recommending THE WHOLE TRUTH, Connie. Good acting and engrossing. I have to say I got it...as one of 2 hypotheses, but that was the one that made the most sense.
One of the producers, Elon Dershowitz, is the son of the lawyer Alan Dershowitz (defended Claus von Bulow, OJ Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump, etc). The writer, Nicholas Kazan, is the son of the director Elia Kazan (ON THE WATERFRONT, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, EAST OF EDEN, etc.). Family connections can help. I always have to look this stuff up.

I am still on episode 1 of Van Der Valk. I can't work up much concern for the characters, somewhat similar to my reaction to Mad Men. I will stick with it however. I like the geeky stats guy. I've had it with grumpy main characters, a la the original Morse or House. I guess I should give House a pass since he was in constant pain.

I agree with you about VAN DER VALK, Lani. I am still watching it, but it is far from my favorite PBS offering.
Ann, I really enjoyed the first season of AWAY.

Did any of you watch FILTHY RICH? What did you think of it? Mike could not stand it after we watched it half way through, so I stopped it and picked it up later. I was on the fence until the very last scene. I may give it one more week.

My DH, DD and I gave up on Away last night. After three episodes we couldn't believe that the captain of a space shuttle crew could handle all of the family drama in flight PLUS the drama on her flight.
We are going to watch the Shakespeare film tonight; I think the title is All this is True.

Ah, we have also been absorbed by all of the wonderful pieces on RBG, what a remarkable life. We were disappointed in the re-run of Charlie Rose's last interview with her. He kept cutting her off. I don't think either one of them was having a good time.

woolworker, that is surprising to me about Charlie Rose. He was always so thoughtful in the interviews that I have seen. Of course, given what we now know about his conduct in private, my mind is going to the place where he is devaluing her because she is a woman. I don't know if that is true or fair thinking on my part.

Lani and Ann, if you are a sexual harasser, RBG could push your button, for sure. And she is one of my heroines. To those of you who have read books about or by her, would you recommend any?
IMHO, GOOD GIRLS REVOLT is very good. I will be finished with it soon. This binging makes the episodes go by too fast. In addition to Meryl Streep's daughter, a daughter of Mikhail Baryshnikov is in the cast.
HIGH STRUNG FREE DANCE is next on my list.
Thank you everyone for helping me find good viewings.

Lani: I watched and loved Charlie Rose's interviews religiously. I was SO DISMAYED when he turned out to be such an awful human being. My DD and DH think the interview went poorly because RBG was soft spoken and thought carefully about her words and Charlie Rose liked to keep things moving along. This was part of a discussion about strategies for Joe Biden in the debates. We feel we should get a shot at coaching hime!
Gail: RGB did seem to send Rose some disapproving looks as he continually interrupted her.
