Good Morning.
For anyone else as disorganized as me, only 3 days left. So I'm thinking this morning I still have a decent amount to do. Grocery store this morning for the 3 "b's"- brussel sprouts, bacon & butter. I did so much decluttering this past year that I think I donated all my extra Christmas gift bags so have to,pick up a few of those. Assorted other errands to run.
So yesterday I got my first ever flu shot & I'm thinking...never again. I can barely move my arm & I was so sick last night and still don't feel too well this morning. Doctor insisted I have it along with the pneumonia shot because of the COPD. Anyway, feel, pretty crappy but things must get done. So enough bellyaching.
Peace out peeps!

Good Morning. Ditto Dina on what Sulli said. Lovely pic of your girls. Sulli hope you recover quickly from the flu shot reaction. Not fun.
Warmer here this morning in the 40's. Made for a nice walk. Pretty to see Christmas lights glowing in the windows.
Didn't sleep well but woke with the alarm to get the grocery/Costco shopping done today. Glad to have the day off to do so.
The scale was not nice this morning for WI with a gain showing but yesterday was low and no off track eating so all is well. Just hate putting the higher number in the tracker.
Off to get the day going. Good Thursday to all! Hope all of you who have shopping left get it done quickly and easily.

Mild reactions are normal from the flu shot. It means your body is doing what it is supposed to do to help you fight off the real bug if it comes around. Hang in there, it should get better! Today is my last day of work until January 3!! I am so glad to not have to be here! I love my job, but I'm ready for a break. My MIL will be starting her chemo/radiation on Tuesday. It's not going to be an easy road for her. She has her chemo port and feeding tube put in tomorrow afternoon. We are going to do our best to make this an awesome Christmas for her! I probably wont check in too much while I'm off work. So I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!

Good Morning!
Sulli, too bad about the flu shot making you feel ill. Hopefully it will pass quickly.
Dina, your girls are very pretty:)
Thyme, I am about to head out for a walk myself. Lovely couple of days here in the south
I've been cleaning house and today will be round two. I am good about keeping things picked up and organized but not great at dusting. Spent most of the day yesterday dusting and cleaning "out" so today will be mopping and vac. It does feel good to get these things done.
Hope everyone has a productive OP day!

@sullicat, with COPD it is very important to have the flu shot, just puzzled why they have it to you so late.. dina, sorry we don't have matching weeks off, we have to quit meeting like this, haha neen, that is the right attitude! Enjoy your holidays A busy day on tap for me, zumba, taking the grands to a trampoline/gymnastics place, McDonald's, pizza dinner and to St. Augustine for the festival of lights!

sullicat1, sorry to hear about the flu shot reaction. My arm always kills after a flu shot but it goes away pretty quickly. Hope you feel better soon! neen, today's my last day at work until January 3 and I'm so ready to be off for a while! I went to the doctor yesterday and she prescribed antihistamine pills and lotion for this stupid amoxicillin rash. I hope it works because the next step would be prednisone. Good luck to everyone with last minute shopping, cooking, wrapping. Healing thoughts and light to all who need them. Have a good day all!

I'm IN.
Not looking forward to the DayJob today or tomorrow. Last-minute for 12/25 (FedEx shipping is dicey even now) and early deadline for 1/1. <meh>.
I offer this, with love, to those among us for whom the upcoming holidays are difficult:
Light Within Darkness
"A single sentence, a single word, a single awareness may turn life around, and while you may not yet be found, you are no longer lost. It is impossible to express. Your dream of the world is unmasked, creating an opening. The night, however dark, is not endless, because in that smallest opening you glimpsed light moving in the dark. It was the first real thing you have known."
βfrom Stars at Night: When Darkness Unfolds as Light by Paula D'Arcy
"The night, however dark, is not endless"... may you find light here among like-minded people... may you find your joy...

The first time I ever got a flu shot years and years ago I either had a really bad reaction or I was coming down with the flu before I got the shot. I had a really high fever, so high that at one point I realized I was babbling about crazy stuff. I've had a sore arm, but never any other type of reaction since. Maybe yours was a one time thing.
Got lots done in town yesterday, hair cut, doctor appointment, picked up prescription glasses, got a blood test that was scheduled for today along with the other labs required for my doctor appt. and got groceries and my last Christmas gift for my son. So today I need to use some of those groceries and make some Christmas goodies. I've got a couple batches of fudge in mind and a pan of bars and maybe a batch of cookies. Nothing that won't keep a long time in the freezer.

sullicat1 thanks for kicking us off and hope your reaction is a quick one. Did you get something for the congestion? Looks like busy days for everyone. neen Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Hope your MIL has a wonderful holiday. Hugs going out to pbnj and thoughts and prayers to her family today. I will be over in the recliner in the corner today, I am just going to collapse for a bit, just bang some pots real loud if you need me.
