What can you do today to lose or maintain your weight and stay healthy?

I will PMTH. The gardeners prune the front and back yards yesterday and Bob took out the sunflowers and the cucumbers. It really looks nice now and at the end of the month we will have some trees pruned.Yesterday we bought a gas fireplace insert and the owner of the store is coming on Wednesday to take the measurements of our fireplace. There is a huge rebate available from the valley air quality board and the lady who helped us said the process it in five days or less.We wanted to get it done before the weather got cold and more people would be looking at them. That should be at the end of the house projects for the year.Nora plans to visit this afternoon and Leo may come too. Dinner is grilled halibut with roasted asparagus and salad.

I will track, exercise, hydrate, etc...scale still holding steady for the third day at 180.6. Not sure that counting points is any better in dropping weight than Core but I will continue to count.
Lunch today will include white beans. I might make a small dish of the okra from t he garden and also some rice. Since I am counting points it won't matter if it is white or brown rice though brown might have a one less point per serving. I made a sandwich with balsamic "fried" zucchini, white beans with roasted peppers (would use sun dried tomatoes...no roasted red peppers), basil and I can't remember what else BUT if not a sandwich then a side dish with the rice? We will see.
MJ: It sounds like the school year programs are gearing up again. With school, practices, appointments and YM PLUS the Russ Project you will be busy! What an email to come home to! I am glad you have a day "off" with nothing open...hope it all works out!
JUNE: I am glad you enjoy walking and that you can get out and about to do so. I think a shopping trip in your closet may be needed. When it cools down I may do the same! My daughter said her hands are irritated and rashy from the hand sanitizer that the university has out for everyone to use. I was wondering if she might want to take her own soap along with her! Glad your former dept chair affirmed what you are doing for online teaching/testing.
BEE: Soup was yummy...had two big bowls full and have more for a meal tonight or tomorrow. How was the Caldo Verde soup? Loved the photo of Brooks! How old is he now?
SUSI: I was thinking about how delicious your meals sound...so many tasty vegetables! My daughter has an Asian store with delicious fresh produce that she goes to especially when farmers markets are not happening. Will you return to the one you went to? Jack and Midnight had a treats day...naughty cats did make me smile, though
BECKY: Do you use the air fryer often? Do you like it? I have thought about getting one but have a feeling I might not use it often then need to find a place to store it. Will you do anything special for your anniversary? I am eager to get into the next decade BUT as I mentioned above...am hoping that by moving slowly the skin will adjust and tighten a bit even though I am not a spring chicken any more
ANN: I keep telling myself, as the weight drops slowly, it is a GOOD thing because it will give my older skin more time to adjust to the change and perhaps tighten more than if I dropped weight quickly. Fingers crossed on that I don't think I have ever made a pot roast...hmm...
PAM: Hooray for a day running errands with your daughter. I think all days are slow...they were never FAST in the past few years but at least I had Wednesdays!
AUDREY: The online cooking classes sound tasty. I suppose you could always take the high calorie meal class, taste some of it and give the meal to your family?

Good morning, Audrey - June - Ann - Becky - LaDonna - Cathy - Bee - Susi - Pam - and AWF!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and a few extra for all students... whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid...
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
I'm the only one up at 7:20 AM. K'ling2 & the Zigster are camped out in the guest room, the Kressling's in the recliner, and Toots is still sawin' wood (perhaps not the best analogy for the day after The Plantation...).
We had SUCH FUN! We helped Son#2 trim high dead limbs off a huge tree that will be "dropped" next month and after we had lunch and tidied up that area we move along to taking down some other, smaller dead trees on The Plantation. Four saplings (smaller-caliper) and four big-but-not-huge trees. And each one dropped where he targeted it, missing electric lines and other trees. We got some but not all of it cleared up by the time we left at 5 PM but he is happy to finish up that part today.
DaBoyz arrived here around 7:30 PM. The Kressling & K'ling2 had chicken & rice casserole for dinner and the Zigster had Dominos (his favorite from pizza day at school). They amused themselves and we watched NASCAR Cup series. It was hard to hold out until the end, but we managed to!
Today the YM have a color guard at 2 PM for the township's remembrance of all those lost during the pandemic who couldn't have "a proper funeral" due to gathering restrictions. It will be outdoors at the Summer Stage area again. And the rest of the day will be Not Much.
Time for coffee... βββ... then I'll air out and put away my work boots until next time...
π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ» Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»

Good morning all. Slept like a baby last night. Temperature today is 33 It's going to warm up and supposed to be in the high 60's low 70's. Loving it! MJ sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. Glad you can now put away the work boots. Nice they are having a ceremony. Enjoy your 'not much' day. Cathy a maintain is better than a gain. Your body will drop it when it's ready. I know...it's frustrating. Great goals and your lunch sounds tasty and healthy. Waving...and will CBL

Good morning!
Bee What a precious boy! Thx for sharing the adorable picture.
Becky Nice that you still have short weather. Our weather was chilly last week. There was even frost on the grass yesterday! Hope that your leg does not feel too tight today.
Mj Sounds like you had mostly a Diva day. So nice to read about you two doing your thing. Sigh. . . in the CC e-mail.
Pam Somehow Saturday seems like a perfect day for errands. Nice that your daughter was able to go with you.
Cathy Solidifying a chunk of weight loss takes a little more time the further down the scale drops. But that new decade is coming! Yes, there is only a 1 point difference on the rice. R likes white better, so that is what we use. How is your friend who shopped for you during the stay-at-home order?
Susi Oh. . . I did not understand it was the landlord not the neighbor. Must have read the post too quickly. Glad you cleared that up since I like knowing that you have a good neighbors. Life is easier with good neighbors. Did any furry ones have a tummy issue after their caper? Glad that the container was only a 1/3 full.
Ann Love reading about LuLu the good cheer ambassador. Nothing wrong with putting a smile on the face of others.
Audrey The cooking class has some amazing dishes. Hope that you enjoy the experience and results.

Sounds like a good plan, Audrey. Dinner sounds good also.
June, hope it's a good day.
Becky, hope it's cool enough for you to walk outside.
Cathy, glad you enjoyed your soup. I had fresh green beans and taters to finish. Making soup today, just not Caldo Verde. Using some butternut squash base for the soup today, will add the greens and some lentils. I am with veggies in a sup like I am with colors in the rainbow --- they all work well together. LOL
MJ, I know you are enjoying the boys. Your day yesterday sounds like you and Toots enjoyed it.
Ann, glad you slept well. I am shivering just reading your temperature. LOL
We are getting some gusts from the TS in the gulf. Just unusual with it that far out and not that big. Yesterday we had rain all day from it, and more forecast for today. Starting out at 71ΒΊ, and heading up to 76ΒΊ, with an 80% chance of rain and very breezy.
Making some soup today just a clean-out the fridge soup.
Waving to LaDonna, Susi, Pam!!!
Hope ALL have a great day!

Good morning, Ann!
LOL. . . I am glad that you slept like a baby when a baby sleeps deeply. Is it pasta night? I bought frozen cavatelli to have w/ meatballs. They will soon show up on the dinner table.
