Bee A clean out the fridge soup always works for me! Me, too, I like the color & texture of vegetables in a bowl or on a plate.
I cooked up a pot of 15-bean soup last night. I sampled it before bedtime. . .

Back from a hood walk. Second day in a row I was up and ready to roll with Carl and LuLa. Now I'm back home and patiently (or not) waiting for my coffee MMM to the frozen cavatelli with meatballs. Yes today IS pasta day. Pulled out the frozen meat sauce yesterday and I just put it in the crock pot. It will finish defrosting and heating up. That, a salad, garlic bread and wine will complete the meal. Great Sunday goals Bee I also need to make soup today. I have one more bowl for lunch. I shall do a little fridge cleaning and see what's available to throw in from the freezer. Works for me. I even have some cooked lentils to add to the mix. LOL to our temps making you shiver.
Susi enjoy your spin class.
Time to get a move on. Will CBL

LOL Soup is heating up. I took what I thought was what I wanted --- and boy was I in for a surprise. I am having a butternut squash, lentil, cream style corn and mustard green soup, with toasted crusted bread. In my mind the cream style corn was some mashed butternut squash. Hey, it tastes god and is good and hearty for a cold day. I just can't warm up.
Guess someday I will learn to label things. LOL

Bee so long as the soup is hearty and healthy and warms you up, its done its job.
I just got done arranging canned goods and took inventory so that I know what to buy and what we have 'plenty of'. My soup ingredients are in the pressure cooker in the fridge. Tonight, before I go to bed I'll put it on. In the morning, after it cools, I'll separate it.
Carl is outside sharpening the blade on the lawn mower and will mow our lawn afterward.
Meat sauce is simmering away. Smells so good. Looking forward to suppertime.

Enjoy your Nora time, Audrey. I can hear the mower as I type. Took Carl longer than he thought to sharpen the blade. Always something. Luckily he knows what he's doing While he was out there, I did a little more puttering and have a few more bags of clothing that I already put in the trunk of the car to donate when we are in the area of the Salvation Army. Some of it was Carl's He will NEVER miss it! Such a beautiful day out there. I was sitting in the screen room for a bit. Right now it's 63. I doubt it will hit 70 today.

I’m smiling as I see blue sky out my window which is a break from the clouds and smog. Even the mountains can be seen which is a good thing. KOKO will be key as I track every bite, lick and taste. I’m hydrating and focusing on water. I’m house walking and doing my stretches. I’m reminding myself to keep smiling and talking positively to myself. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Cathy I would do whatever works for you whether it's counting points or Core. The weight will come off if you are patient with yourself. You have come a long way already.I have not used the air fryer yet.We still have 2 nights of leftovers I think. We finally got it out of the car and set it up today.I can also bake, roast, dehydrate in addition to air fry.We will eat lunch out on our anniversary if it's not raining hard from TS Beta.I doubt we will get much rain from it but we could use some.
MJ I'm glad you had fun at the Plantation. That is a simply wonderful thing for the YM to do for the town.
Ann Glad you slept so well.I slept well for once feeling refreshed.Your low temps is too low for me.Our low was 60 and when I walked it was 64.I walked out of the house in shorts and short sleeve shirt and said whoa. With the wind blowing so much it felt cooler but it felt good to walk in cooler weather for us.We got up to 84 and with the wind blowing it's been such a pleasant day.I didn't turn on the AC until after 4:00.
June Some people wear shorts here year around no matter how cold it gets.I have seen people wearing shorts and a jacket in 30 degree weather. It's crazy. My leg has been pretty good today.I walked 1.5 mile and did 45 min on the elliptical plus cleaning house so I'm relaxing for a little bit right now to give it a rest.

Becky. it seems like some men here can wear shorts and tees all year long too. I think the only long pants the neighbor's sons had were for their Scout uniforms when they had to wear long ones. Nora, is home now and I am going to listen to a lecture that is part of the March on Washington Film Festival. My neighbor's son is in charge of the event. Tomorrow I have a rock and roll zoom class on the early history of rock and roll, probably nothing I don't already know but it should be fun. Ann, I always wake up before the alarm usually at 4 or 5 a.m. but that is just my sleep pattern.

Pam Goodness . . . Those BLTs can sneak in and trip us. Positive self-talk is so important. Thx you for reminding us to smile & appreciate the blue skies above.
Susi Sounds like you were busy in the kitchen.
Mj Thx you and the YM for helping your communitycome together when so much works to divide us.
Ann M m m . . . Your dinner sounds delicious. Our cavatelli are on hold until R & I need to clean out the leftovers in our fridge. Maybe Tuesday? LOL. R side of the closet is not too bad. But he does have more clothes than I do. I am headed to the closet to spend at least 1/2 hr seeing if I have anything that fits.
Bee I put in acan of cream corn into vegetable soup this winter. Had to add more tomot sauce $0& such to cut the sugar. My neighbor & his wife loved it!
Becky Happy that you could have a longer walk today. In a month from now you may wonder how you managed without your AirFryer!
LOL. I have seen it all when it comes to shorts and cold weather. It can be in near or below zero and I see guys in gym shorts & a hoodie. When we got the 30s in the winter, you would think it was a heatwave!

Just got back from our final walk of the day. Again, I made my Garmin goal and pleased with that I'll need it after the food I polished off LOL. Oh well.... IT happens Hi Pam Becky when it's below 0 and we had the wind chill factor then I stay put I'm more comfortable with a sweater or coat on then being hot. Seems like the older I get the less I can tolerate the heat. Lots of people are the opposite...go figure! I do need to be careful of the implant on the right...other than that, I'm fine Audrey I bet you had fun with Nora. Enjoy the lecture. I bet the one on rock 'n roll will be fun. I haven't set an alarm clock since I retired. Carl on occasion will set it if he has to get up early. June wise to finish up leftovers. You'll get your pasta fest in this week Tomorrow we will polish off the rest of the potroast we had the other day. Quick and easy and I'm all over that. Never thought to add cream corn in soup. Only time I use that is in a chicken pot pie and haven't made one of those in years. Well, time to shut down. Sweet dreams all.

Thanks Bee.It was cool enough to walk. It's been a very pleasant day. It's even been very breezy way up here too.
June I'm glad you were able to sleep later.
Thanks Susi.I did enjoy my walk.I hope you enjoyed spin class.
Ann Enjoy your pasta and wine.
Audrey I'm sure you and Nora had fun.Kenneth will never wear shorts. He always wears jeans. It looks so funny when they have on shorts and a coat when it's cold though.Enjoy your Rock & Roll Zoom.It sounds like fun.You do so many different interesting things.I normally wake up between 5-6.Sometimes earlier because the early morning news comes on at 4:30.I usually fall back asleep until 5-6 but have it on in the background.
June LOL on 30's being a heatwave. Not here. That is really cold for here and since we don't have central heat we bundle up and bring out the electric heater. We keep talking about putting carpet in the LR to cut down on the cold but still haven't gotten it done. It's 71 outside and 82 in the house and I got cool so turned off the AC.The ceiling fan and the floor fan seems to be cool enough for now.
