This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome!

Happy Sunday! Happy Rosh Hashanah to Janet and all who celebrate. ❤️ Susie, that's even better that your DD will visit you! Susie! Have you talked to your dr. about the headaches, it seems likes it's been happening for a month or more? I hope you find relief. Janet, glad the lesson plan was an easy fix, phew! Sounds like you had a nice time celebrating Rosh Hashanah. Lora, how was your outing with your friends? Jana, any word on the fence and cable? Today has been absolutely beautiful here. It's high 60s, low 70s only today! Really nice. My DH has been outside a lot working today. Just lovely. I've been working on school stuff. Mass yesterday was lovely. They absolutely did a great job spacing everyone out and everyone seemed to follow the "rules." I loved the music too, it was folksy kind of guitar music. Just a really nice time. Today my "Circle of Grace" group starts up again which is pretty much reading, reflecting, journaling on my own then at the "meetings" there is a sharing and reflection. I had only started going to the group in February, so we didn't get far, so it'll be nice to get going again - virtual. (not sure why we didn't start it earlier, since we are meeting virtually.) My DS who is going to school in Tampa called in a panic, his wallet was stolen out of the glove compartment. (lessons to learn: don't keep wallet in glove compartment, don't leave social sec. card in wallet, don't carry a lot of cash) Well, while the police was with him in the parking lot, someone overheard and brought the wallet to him. It was thrown onto another car nearby. ONLY the cash was taken, thank goodness! He's still getting a new debit card and watching the credit for any funny business that we hope doesn't show up. It could have been a lot worse. I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday!❤️

Hello Everyone....It is lovely here too ....my ODD sent a text last night of DGDs outside around their fire pit...the little one had on ear muffs and the middle one had on what looked like flannel PJs. It was a hilarious pic. My YDD is on her way from Boston - yippee...ETA is 7:00 PM. DH and I went out and bought a new washing machine today...made the fastest decision ever, but then checking out, etc took longer than ever. My washer has had a burnt rubber smell for quite awhile (maybe a loose belt or something) and little droplets of oil or something on the floor. I think I have only bought one (for one reason or another) for the past 45 years, so this one should last the rest of my life - ha!
Jill - thanks for starting us....glad you enjoyed mass last night and getting back to your "circle" today. We watched online church this morning and I baked cookies to have a treat around... hope the DGDs think they are OK because they are GF (it has not stopped DH from munching on several). Thank goodness on the $ was stolen from DS's wallet!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend...

Hi Everyone, I went to the gym this morning for a bit, had lunch and then did the shopping for my friend. I really didnt buy much for this time. She has been ordering out a lot lately. She was having problems with her hand so didnt have her list even made so I wrote it. I took out a lot of the stuff out of her refrigerator and tossed it and took it out to the dumpater but it needs cleaning out. Maybe the cleaning lady can tackle that the next time they come. I may try to wipe it out next week if I go on Saturday. Susie, glad that your daughter came home to visit and that you got a new washing machine. Jill, we are having nice weather here today too. Not looking forward to going back to work tommorow tho. Have a good rest of the day.

Hello everyone!
I am using my work computer - I bring it home sometimes, when I am going to be working virtually and I brought it home this weekend. I have been able to pay my online bills and catch up with some other things. It has been a frustrating week, but I have mostly dealt with the issues that came up. I worked at the station yesterday and it was a pretty good shift so that was nice. I got the pool closed today, and it was a beautiful day to be out there. I had to do the whole thing by myself, which is pretty challenging when the time comes to pull the cover over the whole thing, but I hung in there and got it done! It is always an anxiety inducing thing that hangs over me at this time of year until I get it closed. I still need to put the umbrellas and carpets and chairs away, but there will still be nice days to sit up there and enjoy the weather. My back is really aching this evening, so I hung on the inversion table and have the heating pad on...it should be fine tomorrow. I am going to the MVA in the morning (I had to make an appointment about 2 weeks ago, you can't just go..) to get tags for my mom's car. I don't know why I was compelled to get that thing back on the road right now, because it cost me a lot to get it back in shape, but I'm doing it. I will drive it half the time, and my other car half the time. I may end up selling it, but I will keep it for the time being.
Jana, so sorry for the hassles, but I have to second what Lora said...good thing you didn't move in completely and then end up with these delays. Lora, your visit with friends sounds great. Especially seeing those that you haven't seen in so long! Jill, hope you enjoyed your Circle of Grace meeting. Glad your DS got his wallet back, and the money was "all" that was missing. All those other things are hard to replace. Janet, I hope you have a low frustration week ahead! Susie, I bet you'll like the new washer. You know, they are so energy efficient now, too. My washer was 20 years old when I replaced it, and I was amazed at how little water it uses, too. I know you are enjoying DD being home! I'm going to get off of here and finish cleaning the kitchen before I head up to bed. I didn't sleep great last night, but at least I can sleep in tomorrow! It is going to be another beautiful day tomorrow, so I will get some yardwork done after I get home from the MVA. I hope everyone has a good start to the week. I'll be back tomorrow,
RobinMD

Heading to bed, but just thought I'd pop in...had a headache from about 4:45 on for the rest of the day. Will be up and off to my outdoor gym class in the morning and DH will go to his neuro-fit session. YDD will be working most of the day...glad we have the upstairs suite where she can work undisturbed.
RobinMD - I know it is a relief getting the pool closed for another season...kind of sad too, but like you said, there will be some nice days to sit there. I bet it was a challenge getting that cover over the pool, but you are one capable woman! It may be good to have an extra car sometimes. DH has to go to the DMV too and had to make an appt also...too quite awhile to get one.
Janet - glad you got to the gym, and once again...you are a good friend. Any more news about the possibility of her moving into an assisted living or nursing home?
OK...off to bed
