Welcome to our 2020 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.
The main focus of this board is to be ALCOHOL FREE. The focus of our new challenge is to commit ourselves to success, one day at a time, one hour at a time....success breeds success! Follow a healthy food plan, exercise and stay AF.
As with all of our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some making the commitment for the entire challenge is the way to go, but day by day is also a way to go. No one is cut from the challenge, and if you don't want to be part of the challenge, you are still welcome to post.

BUILD A WALL OF RESOLVE, BRICK BY BRICK NEW CHALLENGE September 6 through October 31
Accountability: experiencing consequences for performance or actions. Accountability is essential for an organization, for a society, and for a person.
In other words, with accountability, a person will assume ownership of their own action because they will face consequences. Accountability is what we’ll call it, but think of it as both incentive and insurance. Establishing accountability helps us to stay the course, even when our former ways tempt us. If a little accountability is good, and more is better, then let’s go all in on this challenge.
What should we be accountable for in this challenge? Pick one, all, or anything in between. Feel free to add your own accountability goal and let others join you.
ACCOUNTABILITY CHOICES!
FRESH START MONDAY! What is your accountability for the week?

JOURNAL YOUR NUTRITION ACCOUNTABILITY

HABIT ACCOUNTABILITY What new habit are you establishing?
CHECK IN DAILY ACCOUNTABILITY

TIME MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY Need to do, should do, want to do Organize yourself with lists
Let's be accountable and supportive to each other. As always no judgement, just encouragement, and if needed, tough love though we are usually toughest on ourselves. Set your accountability goals and let's get to work.

START BUILDING! BUT DON'T OVERWHELM YOURSELF...Brick by brick, step by step brings results!
Happy the scale is coming down, not sure why, but I'll take it. We waited until 10:30 to go walk b/c it was still in the 50's at the usual time. Lots of people at the clubhouse grounds, playing tennis, pickleball, etc. More progress made in the craft room. I had the windows open until almost bedtime, so nice! Had a color inspiration for a new Santa and started stitching the front. Had odd work-related dreams last night, will probably need a nap later.
Jan- WTG getting 10/10 steps. Sorry about the snake dream- yikes! I am pleased the cats are not scratching the furniture or carpet like they did at the old house. Bill has the zoomies this morning. Probably the cooler weather.
Cindy- Hope the aunt is comprehending conversation. I hope it doesn't come to stockpiling. The thing about model homes is there is no "stuff" that you would need to lead a normal life.
Cathy- WTG AF/OP/walking/staying within points. Glad your family in Alabama was back online quickly.

BUILD YOUR WALL OF RESOLVE CHALLENGE September 6 - October 31 September 6 start weight: 199 September 13: 199 September 20: September 27: Good morning all. Felt good to get out and take a "real" walk around the park yesterday. Then it was mostly newspaper reading and football! Today I will head to Walmart and see if I can get new tires there. We looked other places but they are the cheapest for mounting and sell Goodyear so I guess I'll see if I can get in. If needed I can walk around the parking lot outside to get some steps. We have so many left overs right now don't really need any groceries but may look at the fall decorations or plants while I'm there. the squirrels are already eating the pumpkin I have out front, will get some more closer to Halloween and then cover them with Dawn, someone said, to make them taste bad Saw on Connect yesterday where someone made the WW vegetable soup and then just cut up some left over meatloaf to put in, I may give that a try with some of ours. Lower points but still filling. Need to up my vegetable servings! That's about all the Monday news! I made the cats their own yarn ball this morning as they are always trying to get into my stuff. hear the one growling at the other as he carries around his "prize! Have a great Monday everyone!! So glad I didn't have to get up this morning and go teach school, or go to work at all! Yay for retirement. Jan Amy Yay for the scale moving, those hills seem to be paying off!! Has work still been calling to ask for help or has that slowed down. have any of the trees started to change with the cooler weather? There were some up north but not much here yet. I bet it will be pretty on the nature trail when the leaves change. Cathy Hope you get to town and get what you need. Glad you could talk to the family. This year my sister didn't even put in zucchini because it goes so crazy. It's always cheap at the farm stand so she bought what she wanted. I have an acorn squash and a delicata on the counter to use up, maybe one of them today. Cindy Glad the Celtics won. Crazy here yesterday, big day for Packers, even the Bears won! At least reaching out to your Aunt is helpful if she can hear a friendly voice. I hope we don't have to stockpile, or that people really go so crazy when the election doesn't go "their way" whichever way that may be. I hope on January 1st to wake up and the whole bad dream will be over. Good luck at the Dr's this week. Hi to everyone.

Hi girls. Just checking in. Had a great day with the kids at Rylees party and then Addis soccer game. She made 2 goals! It was entertaining to say the least! Yesterday was church and then a quiet afternoon at home. I was just tired. Its already noon and I’m not even dressed! I have some things that need done on the computer this afternoon and I have my last PT appointment. We will,be talking about where I need to go from here. Something needs to be done. I also want to start making appointments for drs since I have met my deductible for the year. Any tests that need done need to be done this year! And it will be over before we know it! I’m in the negative on weekly points again. But I tracked them! I am hoping to rollover points today and tomorrow. We’ll see what happens! Will try to get back later with personals.

Hello friends! We got back Saturday night. I had a wonderful time. I went snorkeling twice, lex and I went stand up paddle boarding and saw a manatee! I was so excited! I saw a stingray while swimming, Jeff and I went to a state park and saw this huge spider get a leaf off his web, it was pretty cool!
Amy, did you have any of these pains before?
I’m sorry Bowie’s going crazy, I try for personals tomorrow

MONDAY: AF/OP/did not exercise/179.8 this morning - first morning in 70's in a LONG time!
We will be running errands this morning. Have a list that will take at least two hours to accomplish. Bills to pay, medicine to buy, coffee shop to go by, produce shops to purchase from and grocery stores since one won't have everything on the list. Know there won't be time to walk this morning but perhaps this afternoon.
AMY: Hooray for nice weather...it sounds lovely! It must be fun thinking about what activities at the clubhouse you will enjoy in the future!
MURPHY: Sorry you were without internet. Hope things settle down at work.
JAN: You may need to make TWO yarn balls so they won't growl at one another! Hope you managed to get your new tires. I will look for winter squash while we are out today. I want one of EVERYTHING that looks healthy and tasty...missing variety though there IS zucchini Told my husband NOT to plant so much but he IS the man that planted 1000 cabbages and ended up leaving them in the ground (most of them) without harvesting them.
GG: Sounds like a fun-filled family weekend! Hope you get everything accomplished that you would like to and that you can schedule doctors' appointments and tests in the time frame you would like to.
CAROL: It sounds like your trip was blissful and a true delight. I am sure you are relaxed and rejuvenated after the time away.
CINDY: Hope you got back to sleep!
