Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Just getting us started today. I had 2 pretty good nights sleep, back to my sleepless night. Ugh!
Laundry on today’s agenda, changing sheets today. Will put some of vegetarian chili in freezer. Puttering around rest of the day. Bbl

Joyce, glad that you were able to go to the mass that your former pastor was at. Always nice to have another person on your side. The Bills game sounded crazy yesterday but I’m sure you were happy with the win. Bill tried to watch the Tampa game to see Brady but I think he slept thru most of it. Sorry to hear about your sleepless night. Hope you get a good rest tonight. My sheets are already in the washer. I like to get that done early in the day while I still have some energy.
Ruth, it would be great for Mara if DS and DIL could get on a regular schedule. It will be very important once she starts school, so she is used to getting up early for school. That is funny what you said about maybe planting another hydrangea and in 20 years it probably won’t be your problem. We have a second bush, not nearly as big as the one we took out, and Bill and I talked about maybe taking it out, then he said no, if we decide to move it won’t be our problem. It isn’t near the sidewalk so if it spreads it won’t cause too many problems.
Martha, that is great how you plan your meals for the week. Also a good job on planning ahead and making lunches for work. Taking naps on weekends when I worked always felt so good.
I accomplished a lot this weekend. All of the stumps and leaves from the bushes were taken to the dump yesterday. I planted my daffodil bulbs (at least 100 of them) yesterday. I took out a few of the dead plants but hopefully can keep the tomato plants in for another week or two, at least till the first frost. I put away most of my summer clothes and got out my winter clothes. Since I didn’t buy anything new this summer and got rid of quite a few things all my summer clothes fit into the bin and there was still room left, it was a good productive weekend.

Good morning all. Joy, glad the Bills won. Vikings lost their second game in a row and looked dreadful. I used to be a rabid Vikings fan back in the day. We had season tickets for a lot of years, but for many reasons, we got rid of them and then the Wild came to town and I just lost interest. The game was on part of the time, but during most of it we had Mara out in the backyard.
Dottie, nice to have all that brush and all gone. Stan has done that a couple times this year, gone to the compost site. He took the 1 huge trailer load from DS’s house there.
I am not a happy camper this morning. I am exhausted! Stan was up 8 times between 11 pm and 3 am and I have no clue how many after that, but multiple times! I think he needs a prostate check but is putting it off due to covid and he needs to not consume as much liquid as he does late at night, or eat as many snacks as he does after dinner. And he needs to realize that if I can tell him at 3 am how many trips he’s made into the bathroom, that he’s keeping me awake! But he doesn’t seem to get it. Nor does he seem to get why I’m not in a good mood this morning!
ok, going to go get dressed and get a bunch of stuff done this morning. Will be time to get Mara up soon and the guy is to come get the swing set sometime this morning. And then we will take Mara home this afternoon. And DIL asked if we could get rid of one of their excess cars tomorrow; I suggested both!!! Happy to oblige and just get it done!
more later! Waving to Martha!!

Flying thru for now..... (((hugs))) to all I think the lousy sleep was contagious. I didn't feel like I slept well last night. My nap was in the morning so shouldn't have messed up the light time sleep. It is easier to get stuff ready the night before so in the mornings we can just grab & go. For awhile I had to have both lunch & clothes set out the night before. Luckily, I don't have to get up that early any more! I'm too lazy to pull out iris, tulip & daffy-dills. So they just spread. I like having color in the front yard.
I want to pull out most of the garden before it becomes a mud pit. Cherry tomatoes seem to be the only thing producing. Darn, wanted more larger tomatoes and zucchini. Next year I will not allow any volunteer tomatoes! Thank goodness I trashed 90% of them.
Hope to bbl. Hugs
