Sandy, Did Fred end up getting excused from jury duty? About 6 years ago I was called to serve on a wrongful death case. At the end of the first 8 hr day the judge asked if there was any reason any of us could not serve. I told the judge that I had arthritis in my hip and sitting on those wooden benches all day was painful for me, so I was excused.

Good evening all!
Sounds like everyone had a busy day planned.
I’m sure there are microphones used in the courtrooms. At least they have them on tv!
It was so cold I couldn’t drag myself to the pool this am. I had planned to go when DSInLaw arrived home but was told the swim team came in at 3:15pm. I did come home and walk 2 miles in the hall. It was windy at the beach. I’ve decided to walk 5,000 steps in the hall before I leave each day and another 5,000 when I get home. It goes by fast listening to an ebook. If I make it to the pool at least the 4 days I don’t have baby duty that should work.
The babies are 10 weeks old tomorrow. They weighed them by holding them on the scale and Amelia was 12 lbs and little Reese is 11lbs so she has caught up quite well. There is road construction on the street leading to DGD’s school. Each day she has a million questions about what they could be doing. Today a police Officer was next to my car while we were stopped at the light. I rolled down the window and said I had a very inquisitive passenger. He was so friendly and so Hazel asked him what’s in that big hole? What’s that noisy (drill) machine doing? Nothing gets by her.
My late DH had a wonderful DB who passed away just recently. We saw s lot of he and his DW when we lived in FL. Unfortunately his DS & DD were not the most caring and considerate. Nevertheless, he adored them and would drop everything at the mention of them visiting or even phoning. There behavior towards me was less than respectful at times but I turned the other cheek for the few times they were even around. Everyone handles situations differently I know. DH was so wonderful to me and my children, the least I could do was help him enjoy his kids. I felt life is short and I’m glad I took the high road because for DH, who passed at 68, his truly was.
Today my niece posted a pudding recipe using bananas, avocado and coconut milk (or any other). She said she has added fruit of cocoa powder, etc. Sharon I thought you might be interested. I have avocado at meals and look forward to my chocolate kale shake each evening so not sure I woukd make this. Maybe as a Sunday treat I will try it.
Hope everyone has a good evening!
Marlo
