Carol, thanks for posting the thread. I started to do it at work yesterday but I was distracted by something that came up and then never got back to it. We had some family drama this weekend (I tell you, sometimes the Kardashians have nothing over us) and so I had a pity party that included lots of food and didn't get lots of sleep so my boss gave me the day off to get some rest (she really is amazing.) Finally got the Fall decorations up, since I couldn't sleep on Sunday night I decide to decorate.
Tuesday possibilities Card making (isn't that what a day off is for?) Update budget and pay any bills Bible study Email prayer group (they sent me a lovely card) Wash 1 load of work clothes Wash and change sheets Sit with DS this afternoon to help him take care of some business. Declutter x15 Evening routine

I am contemplating FlyLady for my next 100 Day Challenge. I hate to do housework and have always wanted a tidy and clean house but have never been able to stick with FlyLady long enough to get it done and keep it done. So, am in the contemplation phase of this but remembered this group exists and thought I would stop in to get advice.
What would you suggest is best? Signing up for the daily reminders? Checking in daily on the FlyLady site? Checking in once a week to make a list of the to-do things? Just checking in here? or??? Thanks
PS - I used to get so frustrated by all of the emails that were sent by FlyLady that I would give up eventually on them and unsubscribe then stop doing whatever it was that was to be done for the day...and that was usually less than a month in. I still have a couple of weeks or so in the current 100 day challenge but could start this one early to give me MORE days to really accomplish the goal...right?

cathygeha: I personally found the daily reminders very overwhelming and I ended up with a full email I had to purge (which meant one more decultering added to my list). I personally find this site to be very helpful because it gives me the basics (which I need) and I can make my own list. If you have already been a Flybaby and/or Flylady then you now the basics. You can pop into Flylady site every so often to get some updates but don't linger there. I found I usually spent more time online or working on my journal than doing any housework. Come fly with us dear friend. Carol and Cathygeha: sorry I have been MIA this week. It really has been a crazy week both at home and at work. Now that I have a case load of patients again, I'm really busy. Friday possibilities: work on some cards send donation work on intern's learning agreement pick up milk at the grill at work (way to raining to shop after work so I'll get a couple of small milks for tomorrow morning) make dinner evening routine

flyingcathy, Thank you...am off to check out FlyLady...at one point I saved the first steps but never made it through them, never made a daily to-do chore list, etc. Might be wise to start at day one and begin from t he beginning?
Looking forward to the journey!

Good Morning Carol and Cathygeha, one of things about Flylady is that she says "start where you are". I try not to "make up" what I didn't get done but keep going. Since I work as a Clinical Social Worker in a state psychiatric hospital, I really can't get things done during the week because I am so exhausted when I get home and I am trying to really put energy into losing weight which takes planning. So I do some of the tasks on the weekend and try and balance having some rest and fun also. Tomorrow DH and I are going to a pumpkin patch we go to every year and will indulge in homemade ice cream (I hope they have pumpkin ice cream this year.) Weekend possibilities hair appt. continue work on intern's learning agreement pumpkin patch trip look up and make some new pt. friendly snacks boil eggs for the week declutter office desk so DH can put up bulletin board declutter 15x (will pick and area and set my timer for 15 mins) update budget and send Christmas donations laundry (work clothes and sheets) grocery shop virtual church virtual WW meeting Sat and Sun evening routine
