Tuesday's goals
Rev up my engine. . . and keep the pedal in play. Enjoy my homemade meatballs & frozen cavatelli. Roast some vegetables. Make a big salad. We may get our flu shots tomorrow.
Be at peace and sleep well tonight.

Becky Oh.no . . . Canthe PT help you in the few sessions that the insurance will cover? Sure hope so. Is the tight IT band a new wrinkle? Can they give you some exercise to do at home that will help?
Glad that you could push through the discomfort to shop?
Owls are something to see and hear. There was an Osprey or some other bird of prey on the power transmission towers behind our property. I was surprised that it was disturbed by my presence since it's perch was 200!ft. above ground. But maybe someone has fired a shot or two at it.
Ann That would be pretty to amble down to a river. Awwwww. . . How nice to have an impromptu visit w/ freshments.

I deleted my post. I will PTMH. I have a doctorβs appointment at 11:30 and also plan to go to Walmart to pick up a few things for Halloween bags. Yesterday there was a big rally in downtown Fresno for business owners still closed as well as restaurant owners who want indoor dining. Theyβve decided to go against county orders and open October 1st as if it is some magical day when the virus disappears. Bob and I will continue to do as we have been doing.

I will persevere...same as usual. Scale was 179.8 so first time in the new decade. Now...will I "try to break the plateau" or assume it is broken and keep on with what I have been doing? Had planned a higher point day for today to shake things up...still might do just that!
My sister wrote to say that the cysts on my BIL's pancreas are NOT the big C they feared but still something to keep an eye on. Usually they would do surgery to remove part of the pancreas but the surgeon was willing to do more tests to get more information, reassess in three months and they really liked him. So...all are breathing a sigh of relief instead of planning last months of life.
I found a photo of my sister three years ago that, when side by side with recent photos, dramatically shows how much the weight loss has changed her face and figure. She was impressed and has more incentive than ever to stick with the program. She is at 148 and I told her that in a year or so we will both be the same low weight together ... that is the plan anyway.
Our errands will probably take at least two hours with all that is on the list. We need to get organized, make lists, call ahead to have things ready, etc...before we head out the door.
ANN: You said you sectioned out your soup...is that to freeze in portions or do you put portions into containers in the fridge?
MJ: Good luck with the appointments. I am envious of the time you get to spend with your grandchildren.
SUSI: I hope the retirement party/meal provides a taste of the restaurant you have wanted to visit...and that it is delicious but not so delicious you want to return every week
JUNE: Glad to hear you are doing okay with the teaching plotting and planning and all.
AUDREY: I don't know if you have ever made eggplant as a salad but I will sometimes roast and peel as if for baba ganouj, pound garlic and squeeze lemon then not add tahini but mash the eggplant, add garlic adn lemon and then chop tomato, onion and green pepper to stir into the seasoned eggplant. Adjust salt and drizzle olive oil on top. Not sure if your recipe mentioned it or not but pomegranate seeds are tasty on top of baba ganouj as garnish.
BEE: I love a tasty soup! Do you have a pressure cooker? They are the same as an instapot, I think?
BECKY: SO, now that you know why the knee is tight and it is the IT band...how do you loosen it up...or can you?

Good morning all. Another great sleep Today I shall finish switching over the closets. I'll be happy when it's done! Susi happy that your sodium bombs are leaving you. Cathy congratulations on entering your new decade I separate my soup and put it in containers for the fridge. I don't bother to freeze it as I eat soup everyday for lunch. That is wonderful news re: your BIL. Nice that the surgeon has something else to try rather than surgery. I like his style. Prayers continue. Oh I bet your sister LOVED seeing the before and after picture of her showing her weight loss. |Audrey good luck with your doctor's appointment and Walmart shopping. Hope it's not crowded. I have no clue if restaurants here are open as the last time Carl and I were out was on his bday last February! I just don't have the desire to go. Praying that the opening doesn't create more problems..... Becky praying your knee feels better today. Waving...and will CBL

Good morning, June - Bee - Ann - Becky - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - LaDonna - Pam - and AWF! Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine... Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid... ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π Today we are going to sketch out a plan for dealing with Phase FOUR. Yesterday entirely too much of the day (and of our energy, both physical and emotional) was spent on RussStuff. We did, however, have the Kressling here, then the Mouseketeer & MousekeTWO came over (to talk saxophone with Toots), and then added the Zigster. Mayhem. Fun mayhem. DDIL#1 gave me an update on Fr. Ted Zuber (her great-uncle). They put in a drain/stent and released him back to his priests' retirement facility; he will NOT go to assisted living or nursing home. He gets daily visiting nurse but also needs assistance to flush the drain a total of 3x/day. Her sister visited with him and says that he looks really frail (he was never a "big" man to begin with). She mistook his hand raised in blessing as an invitation to "high five" him ... DDIL wanted to visit yesterday but got held up at work; now the plan is to visit tomorrow. Time for coffee... βββ... π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ» Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all!π»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»ππππ»

We may get our flu shots tomorrow. Toots & I have to figure out what we'll do this year. We usually go to Walgreens... maybe I'll call our primary. Doc appointment tomorrow afternoon for the PET scan results. Sending many, MANY prayers... this is not a new problem. I had it before surgery but it bothers me more now because of the new knee. Sending good thoughts that they can figure out a new solution for the old problem. Bob and I will continue to do as we have been doing. That's about where Toots & I are; we did go to Charlie Brown's but definitely at a VERY quiet time, and sitting near an open door. I am so, SO glad to read this, Cathy! The weekend salt bombs are disappearing. YAY!!!

Becky, are you getting any rain from TS Beta? Hope someone has some wisdom about your surrounding knee issues.
Audrey, sure hope your doc appointment goes well.
Cathy, I bet your sister and her family are breathing a sigh of relief. I am not a pressure cooker user. Tried when I was younger and it terrified me. That eggplant salad sounds good.
Good for exiting salt bombs, Susi.
Ann, enjoy switching out the closets.
MJ, thanks for the update on Fr. Ted. As to Phase 4, hope you whip it into shape soon. Sounds like y'all and the kids had a good time.
The problem, like yesterday, just disappeared after a bit. Yesterday it was only doing it on FB.
Just laying around before the doc appointment. If I have enough strength tonight, I want to go hear the sister of a friend speak.
Hope AWF have a great day!
