4. Make plants the bulk of your diet
Eating mostly vegetables can decrease your chances of dying.
The very best foods for increasing your lifespan are leafy greens, but any plants are better than none. Researchers from Loma Linda University found that vegetarians had a 12% lower risk of dying over a six-year period, compared with non-vegetarians. Skeptical about how nutritionally sound a diet made of mostly produce is? Physicians have concluded that a plant-based diet is perfectly healthy.
Do any of you do a mostly plant based diet? I know Cathy does.
Do you regularly have days when you eat just plants? What do you eat for protein on those days?
I have read more and more where plant based or mostly plant based diets are the way to go for good health, fending off diseases, and helping reduce the effects of the diseases we do have. Would you be interested in trying it?
