A miracle could be anything it doesn't have to be a big thing. Lots of people think a miracle has some great big Grand thing like a billion dollars or something but a miracle could be any little tiny thing like today I knocked my coffee cup over and I moved fast enough to grab it before all the coffee spilled all over the place that was a miracle. I have a lot of Little Miracles like that and every time I do I give thanks because I think we should.I guess there are a lot of Little Miracles I could hope for but I guess I'll just take them as they come and recognize them for what they are
Susan came today and I was so glad to see her. I had fed the dogs and put them out, and gave them clean water but that's all I could do. I couldn't even stand up any longer so I hadn't had breakfast when she got here at 10:30. She came in and she just got right in and started. She made me some toast and brought me some applesauce. warmed up my coffee and made me some juice then she did the dishes and cleaned out the whole refrigerator like I wanted so badly to do. She took everything out of it and cleaned every single inch of it it looks so nice and sparkly clean. I just wish there was some way I could keep her on permanently but I'll have to wait and see what the finances are. oh and one more good thing she's taking me to my doctor's appointment on Wednesday so I won't have to miss it after all. I am so relieved about that because I really do need to see the doctor this time.
I just found out to another miracle for me, I won't have to make the circulars after all. The Veterans Administration will supply those with his name birth date death date and any other information we want on the card. I am going to have them put 1st Corinthians oh I forgot the number is it 11 or 13. Well darn I'll have to look it up but it's the one that said and and the most important of these is love. I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about. It was one of Mac's favorites so I think that would be appropriate to put on that card.
Kathie, will Jim wear Depends? the last few months Mac had worn them. In fact I bought several packages of overnights and several packages of days when I was getting ready for him to come home so I have them in the closet along with new sheets a new mattress pads that are waterproof and wipes and new jogger pants that will never be able to use now. I have his wheelchair his hemi Walker his shower chair and he has toilet seat with the rails and the bed rail and all that stuff that I have no idea what to do with it. I also have his bicycle sitting out there and locked up. I think it's a combination lock and the combination is anybody's guess. but I guess we'll figure it out.
you know what Susan said the same thing to me today that no one knows what to do if I don't tell them what I need. So I'm thinking to ask his goddaughter if she will print out the pictures and then we'll put them in the frames when she comes that would save me a whole big lot of work especially now that I don't have to make the little handouts. My sister and my niece are going to do the food I just have to order it and have it delivered to their house and they will put it all together an individual bagged lunches. so I guess it's all coming together. my mom always said things have a way of working out and I think she was right.

Fred wasn’t selected for a jury and said he never left the jury room and at one point was the only left there. He thinks it’s because he had put down he was hard of hearing but sat for four hours very bored as no reading material and the tv was on a very boring channel about selling real estate. At the end they said he was done and did not have to return. The way they work it now is on Monday they select juries for any trials coming up and then Tuesday have the trial and Wednesday the jury decides a verdict and it’s over. So if you aren’t selected on Monday then you’re done. A couple of judges came in to talk to them and said it’s being discussed to switch to using zoom for jury selections and then having the people selected come to the courthouse the following day. I guess they have even discussed having the trials on zoom and only have the jury show up for deliberation but that idea was shot down immediately. As he sat there waiting he saw the people not selected returning and he found it interesting that it was all men returning, not one woman.
He will be golfing this morning and I’ll get some laundry done.
I can’t think of a miracle I would want. I just consider it a miracle I survived all that Debbie and Maija went through and knowing it isn’t totally over yet as he’s still fighting paying part of her tuition and getting Maija’s baby pictures and videos to Debbie so she could make copies. I don’t understand why he thinks he has the right to them and not Maija or Debbie. But I guess being a narcissist that’s what they do. Heck he tried to hide their passports so they wouldn’t be able to take the class trip to Italy. So I guess having that happen would be a miracle in itself.

Hi 69 and rain from Hurricane Beta. Miracle: The Virus to be gone. Fixin' to dress and go for grocery pick up and gas. Then Bill's for lunch and rumicub with him and a 90 year old.
Jenny, it sounds like everything is working out for you. Sandy, good that fred wasn't picked for jury duty. Kathie, Jenny has a good question. What about depends?
Have a great first day of fall, y'all.

Again, good morning!
Jenny, I keep a list of things like that . . . it's called "God Winks." Little things that couldn't possibly work out, but "all of a sudden" they do. Sometimes they work out in the strangest, simplest way. So glad you have had several in a row!
Sandy, how odd that they left Fred sitting by himself in that room. Apparently, someone forgot to tell him he was dismissed.
Lucy, you and Bill are giving that 90-year-old such a great gift by inviting her to play Rummikub with you so often!
Diane, I was so impressed when you listed your goals for the day yesterday morning -- then laughed out loud when you wrote in the evening you hadn't accomplished any of them! I'm into the next-to-last book in the series I've been reading. Maybe when I've read the last two, I'll get some drawers sorted and cleaned.
Still trying to decide on the miracle I would choose. Selfishly, I would choose the healing of Guy's heart.
BBL! ~~Molly

Good Tuesday morning!
A miracle? I agree that in my life there have often been small miracles that happened at just the right time. 'God winks' is a good name for them, Molly. A big miracle I would wish for would be for people to all be tolerant of others. So much discord is so sad. A big personal miracle would be for my muscle tone and strength to improve, so I would be able to drive again. But I am blessed indeed to be able to walk at all.
Jenny, maybe keeping Susan should be a priority? If she is willing to do so many helpful things, she is worth keeping. It is a comfort to those of us who care about you to know that she is such a help. Sandy, I'll share in your hope for a miracle and Debbie's getting her photos back. Lucy, you chose a good miracle to wish for. Catfish for lunch? Molly, maybe I will be more industrious today!
Well, I turned really lazy yesterday. I picked up my Kindle and scanned it. I found an old book I had enjoyed, and thought I would just read for a while. I got nothing else done until time to cook dinner. Shame on me.
Today it is cool and rainy, so we won't go for our walk. I fixed breakfast, fed the starter, and cleaned the kitchen. Now, I am here. I hope to get at least one scrapbook page done today. It is supposed to stay cool all day, so I am planning chicken pot pie for our dinner this evening. DH mixed up the nonfat powdered milk this morning, so it will be ready to use. I prepped the vegetables and they are ready to use. Have some fun today, friends!

If Jim gets to a point where he doesn't get out of bed I will use the Depends.....but right now he sits on the pot sometimes hours a day so each time I would have to take them off and put on new.....It is easier (and a lot cheaper) to clean out his pants. I have a dozen of them so I'm good with that. I wash every day now between the pads on the bed and the undies and many sheets too....geez!!! I think I got good at this already....LOL. I thank God that I was an embalmer because it is nothing that I haven't seen far worse than. It is my back that can be the biggest problem, Bending over in weird positions to help him is the worst. He drops things all the time so I am often crawling under the bed between the bed and the ramp to get things.
Jenny: I answered you on email about 1st Corinthians....It is 13. I have it done in cross stitch on my wall here because a dear friend of mine did it for the wedding of my first DH. I'll try to clean it up and take a picture of it for my avatar.
Bobbie is coming a little late today so my doggie is being a nag.....
See you all later for tuck-in.

Theme for October
October Golden Harvest (4 votes)
Fall Colors Lucy
Halloween Hauntings
Costumes For All
Spooky October
Okay Ladies, start voting. guess this is the list!!!
Jenny, we have a place that supplies all those things like hospital beds etc and they come pick them up, sanitize them and recycle them to other people. don't know if you do or not but guess call the hospital and see if anyone can help with that. I also know some people that sell stuff themselves but they have to advertise and that is not always easy to get rid that way. My kids wanted all that stuff out of here so they did that part of it , but then the company that we got it all from just said to call them when no longer needed it and they would come pick it up right away. and yes they took the portable potty away as well. so many changes in the 20 years since my DH passed away. Maybe that has changed too, but wouldn't hurt to call the hospital to ask.
Beautiful day here today and warmer which is nice. I did got out and have my coffee on the back porch. the lawn guy came and finished up with the trimming. He had to leave yesterday as he drives truck afternoons. It smells so good freshly cut. and looks even better.
Kathie, Sounds like you have a system that works for you but the new adult diapers work pretty good. They insisted in the rehab place that My Mom had to use them while there. and they were easier than the pull up kind. She had a lot of diarrhea and I know I would not have been able to take care of that for her. My Mom was such person that she would do whatever they said she had to do. you are a special lady and you have said you have no problem with it but guess we want to help you out so sorry if we have over stepped.
Nothing much going on today. I did get call back from my Dr office today about the lab work and they want me to have the thyroid panel blood work done now. I am on a low dose of thyroid meds but have been on the same for long time now. So changes I am sure. also want my Vitamin D blood work done again as well. she said at my convenience, they just send the orders directly to the lab.

Molly Fred was alone after the jurors were called to the courtroom to be interviewed for a jury. But once those people came back that weren’t selected they were all dismissed. He asked the lady in charge what had happened and she had no reason but he really thinks it’s because he’s hard of hearing and he probably should have been dismissed once he arrived in the jury room.
I vote for Golden Harvest

Hi!
It's still in the 60s here, too, Lucy. Tomorrow is to goto 80Âş. This evening, I will make a chicken pot pie (easy version) for dinner.
I'll vote for Golden Harvest, too. Such a beautiful mental image.
Helen, happy birthday. It is hard to think of Doris as she is now, but your report that she was still our sweet lady made me feel so much better. Thank you.
Jenny, we donated my DM's things to a hospice organization.
Have a good evening, friends. Hugs! Diane
