Greetings all! It’s in the 60s here and feels so chilly. I’m on the couch with such a ‘cuddly warm’ blanket, I could just fall asleep. Before swimming I did walk one mile in the corridor. My exercise time at the pool was 75 minutes but I’m there for about two hours with showering and all. I’ve got 7,800 steps so I’m going out to walk the corridor to get to 10,000. I’m hoping that will per me up or I’ll be in for a nap.
The ocean is very choppy and we’re in for a lot of wind in the next few hours. I’m enjoying listening to ebooks with my wireless Apple earphones. I can listen and relax looking at the ocean.
After swimming I stopped by Trader Joe’s. Even with a line of 10 or more, it moves very quickly. It was chilly and I was thinking how dreadful it will be to stand in the cold come winter. I’ve decided to stock up on a few months supply of beans, broth, basically all non perishables to make life easier. Because we lose power from time to time i can’t load the freezer too much.
Vicki, hope Jerry finds answers and relief!
Gail, a very impressive essay from DGS! My son played 3 Varsity sports and all 4 years of college. There’s no question that was made a partner in his company due to his support of his ‘team’. It’s good training and many employers look for that background.

In 2017 DD and I were planning the Alaskan Cruise when she got the good news that DGD #1 would arrive that July so that was put on hold. Looks like now it’s on hold for good. I’m about to cancel my free cruise that was booked for April 2021 and get my $150 incidentals deposit back.
Pat, my engine light came on at one point. I was frantic as DH was in the hospital and I needed to drive to Boston each day (30 miles). I pulled into the closest garage and he gave me a ‘song and dance’ about valves etc. but it was safe to drive for now. I happened to check the manual and after reading, I tightened the gas cap and all was fine! As I recall, it took a bit of driving before the ‘engine light’ went out.
The seagulls are swooping all around out here. There must be lots of fish in the water but it’s too rough for the gulls to catch them. Sometimes lobsters wash in, that makes for a special treat!
Time to walk the corridor and finish this ebook. ‘Watching You’ y Lisa Jewell was quite suspenseful!

Just looked up WATCHING YOU, Marlo, as I have really enjoyed Lisa Jewell's THEN SHE WAS GONE. This one looks good too. Thanks. You might want to recommend it on the WHAT ARE YOU READING thread. I get lots of good ideas there. Good idea to stock up on non-perishables. My DDIL orders them all from Amazon on a regular basis.
I have done NOTHING today. Time to get out there for a walk. It is getting windy here too but is not too cold.

Gail, I notice Lisa Jewell has several. I have put ‘I Found You’ on hold at the library.
Earlier I did finish walking and now have 10,499 steps. I had more energy when I was done. This was a very successful day with 19 flights, 774 calories burned and 60 minutes of exercise. I’m very concerned about being too sedentary between sitting with the babies and lack of social activities, for the most part. I started having aches and pains and I’m concerned about circulation issues when lacking in activity.
My goal tomorrow is 5,000 steps before I go to DD and 5,000 when I get back. Today I found out why the gym in our building hasn’t opened. The air circulation is an issue with Covid since the building is 35 years old. If Planet Fitness offers the $99 special I may be game. I stopped by and it was well spaced with lots of precautions and cleaning. Though now that I think of it, the aerosol stuff is an issue. Yikes!
Time to relax. I know that I will sleep well tonight. Hope everyone else does!
Marlo

Pat I light came on when I needed a new gas cap. The light came and went and I worked with it, but when the time came for emission check for new tags I had to get a new cap.
Karen the sun comes straight in my front door in the summer months, door facing East. In the winter the stairs to the front door never see sun so on the few occasions that I get ice on them, it takes forever and forever to melt. I have to use something and then deal with tracking into the house.
Jew a few of our "no win" situations.

A dreaded phone call tonight from my cousin Donna that our cousin Herb passed away. I am the oldest of the first cousins on my mother’s side and now the two youngest are gone. That makes 4 of the cousins gone . 5 of us left , 2 in Ohio, 1 in Ind, me in Fl. And one who might be in Fl. But he doesn’t seem to keep in touch with anyone. He had a lot of health issues and once again Donna was the caregiver. I doubt that she gets to Naples this year because her husband’s health is bad. She just steps in and cares for each family member who needs it. A sad night for all of us.
