Happy Day All!
PeggySue - yup, DSis could take one or two from my freezer, but if she takes 6-7 we make fresh, she can give them to my other niece, nephew, etc. Then I still have all mine! Not really selfish, as I'll make her set with my figs, etc. Plus will keep us busy half a day.
Dayle - glad you came back and hope you continue to feel more "up". T'ain't easy these days to pull out of a funk.
Lin - thanks for the heads up on Amazon doing the Louise Penny books. Wonder if they'll be anywhere as good as the books? Hope so.
They cancelled the mediation prep yesterday and we just had a phone conversation with our attorney. I think it went well, although I donât think quite as well as he would have liked. I think heâd like us to settle for less than DH in particular is willing. Weâll see. What irritated me is that I sent him all kinds of paperwork, but not sure he read it until during the conversation. Sigh⊠The mediation is still on for Tuesday, with a prep zoom meeting sometime before then if he doesnât get it settled.
Today, against my better judgement, am going with two friends to town â the next town over where they have actual stores! LOL! Masks will be worn!!!! They pretty much begged me to go and I can be such a pushover.
Anyway, need to get ready so will close. Stay safe, everyone. Cheers!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HELEN Hope you have a Special day.
Penny - OMG! Of course it's not selfish! I was thinking of you two putting new ones you have fun making now in the freezer cause freezer ones would travel better. Sorry I mentioned it.
Not sure what I'll do today.
Everyone stay Safe and Healthy.

Hello everyone,
We had a wonderful visit with our daughter and her dog. I think the dog has really missed me. She was stuck to me. Lol. Such a big cuddly lab. We bbq the last of the steaks dd#2 sent us from her restaurant in Nashville. Absolutely delicious.
This morning we have fog. Itâs 90% humidity and will be 87.
Yesterday did work in garage. Cleared out an area to put the extra pavers from patio remodeling inside. The ones we saved from front yard we have stored under a firewood rack and a tarp is over the whole thing. The rack holds filled sand bags in event of flooding. We had a bad winter a few years ago. The pavers that are sitting on the cement turned brownish. But the rest on top of them are fine. Didnât want to damage any more pavers so brought these in garage. Itâs about 30 pavers of different sizes. Probably will never need them but if a paver gets damaged will be glad we have them.
I have thought long and hard and want to get rid of hubbyâs grandparents antique bedroom set that is in the garage. Itâs a French Provincial style. Dresser, vanity, bed frame headboard and footboard and end table. Might keep vanity. I donât really like it the way it is now. I thought we would repaint it and use it in a second home but donât think we will. If we ever buy a second home will just get a new bedroom set for it. The cost to have it all repainted might not be worth it. Donât want to do it myself. Itâs a full size bed frame and probably wonât even use that. The vanity and bench is really cute and unique. That would be easy for me to repaint myself. Maybe just keep that and get rid of dresser and bed and end table. Hubby will be thrilled to get rid of it. He doesnât like it. Was me hanging on to it. Itâs not worth very much money. Will donate it.
Penny- I know you will feel like a new woman when Florida house is completely repaired. Been such a long time.

Thank you Peggy Sue.
This morning we had a surprise visit from our DGD#2 and she brought along her roommate and her boyfriend. THey all wore masks and are awesome kids just out of college and making a difference in this world.
We are packing for an overnight at a lodge in a town next to the Missouri river in Nebraska. Our kids gave us this overnight for Christmas b ut b ecause of COVIC we put it off but they are taking all the precautions and masks etc. It is a pretty small town. So I'll not post tomorrow unless I get to do it at the end of the day. Not sure of internet serices

No plans for today, I did call the beauty shop for a cut and color and she will call me back so we can chat for a bit. She was doing a cut. I like to catch up with what she is doing.
Helen, that sounds like a lovely get away. I am doing something tomorrow I am a bit nervous about. Going with my neighbor and her friend to a couple of places, JoAnn's as they need yarn and I will look at the seasonal decorations. Then to Altmeyers where I can get some new wash cloths for the bathroom. They have the big flags that I like to hang outside on back porch/deck. Don't need fall but maybe a new thanksgiving one. and can look there. will wear a mask of course. But the part that makes me a bit nervous they are talking about going to eat lunch. we don't have any out door venues where we are going unless they know of one I don't. and I have not eaten inside since this stuff started.
My stiff neck is better and did sleep good last night. Still feel it but it's okay. At least I don't have to drive tomorrow.
I did hear back from my Dr office and he is ordering more blood tests. para thyroid blood work as well as Vitamin D. Have not had that one done in awhile. At my convenience and they will order the tests so no paper work to remember to take. I do have refills at the pharmacy and One of them is my thyroid pills. And he will probably change that one. OOPS. Oh well we will work it out.
It is a beautiful day and this is the kind of fall day I love. First day of fall and the sun is shining and blue skies and temps in low 70's. working on my decorations and house is shaping up. I have some things to wrap and put away until next spring but will do that when I am all finished, no hurry and don't like rushing.

Happy birthday Helen.
ortho today to set up next round of gel shots on my knee..they do not even give you a Pen now! The check in barricade is so large it is like going to the bank. The waiting room For PT or dr has big spaces between chairs and floor markers for lines. Temp check before you go to dr. Everyone as far away from you in exam room as possible....good.
and then I see that Trump statement from rally last night âAs the U.S. death toll from the novel coronavirus prepares to eclipse 200,000, President Trump on Monday incorrectly claimed at a campaign rally that covid-19 âaffects virtually nobodyâ younger than 18, again downplaying the extent of the pandemic and contradicting his previous statements that the virus poses a risk to âplenty of young people.â In front of a crowd of mostly maskless supporters not adhering to social distancing in Swanton, Ohio, Trump suggested that only older Americans with heart problems and preexisting conditions truly need to fear the virus. âIt affects elderly people, elderly people with heart problems and other problems. Thatâs what it really affects,â the president said. âIn some states, thousands of people â nobody young. Below the age of 18, like, nobody. They have a strong immune system, who knows? Take your hat off to the young, because they have a hell of an immune system. But it affects virtually nobody. Itâs an amazing thing.â
holy cow! I hope people listen to dr instead. We have dead children in our county and many people keeping kids with vulnerable issues like asthma out of school. Evidently obese kids are at risk too...something about how the virus attaches using fat. Then there are the long term effects that show up later in oeOPle with no symptoms. Scarey.

Evening All!
Better late than never. Had a wonderful time with my advanced ESL group today! Itâs a really diverse group in nationality, age and religion. And yet so far, all are respectful and encouraging to one other. This group is a definitely a keeper! My beginner Afghani, that is so painful that I want to cry. I have to rethink how I am tutoring him. I think back to the basics is the way to go, starting with the alphabet and working through simple sentences. I am not serving him well, and want him to succeed.
Happy birthday Helen! I hope you have a great time on your short adventure! Stay safe.
Penny hope your outing went without any trouble. Hope you kept the windows open in the car, or better yet took separate carsâŠâŠ Connie my suggestion for tomorrowâs outing.
Iâll be back tomorrow! Everyone have a good evening.
Dayle

Dayle, our esl classes in high school here started out mainly Asian with the Asian refugees in the 1980s after a while were mainly for Spanish immigrant teens .we quickly discovered many could not read in Spanish either. they had been field workers.
Your Afghani may be similar.
