Good Morning Friends,
This morning I will finish the laundry. The first load is washing & only one more to go.
Yesterday's dialysis class was anything but informative. Most information these day relates to using the machine for dialysis & DH needs to know the ins & outs of that more then I do, so everything is primarily directed to him doing it. That's perfectly OK with me but it makes for a long afternoon. While the machine went through one shortened cycle of putting the solution in & then draining it, we watched videos on all the info we had already gone over a couple times before. Repetition is helpful to retaining what we need to know, but it sure is boring. Also found out the total number of classes is 8 not 6 like we thought - 4 down, 4 to go.
DGS called after we got home to see if he could come visit us. It wasn't the best time but because his stay here is short I told him to come. He stayed for supper which was a smorgasbord of LO's. He had the BBQ ribs & was happy with them. He helped clean up the kitchen after supper so that was a big help. He plans to go back to OR next Wed & his parents had plans to go out there next Thursday which they will still do.
Haven't got any squirrels for a couple days but they are still in the yard. Something is robbing the peanuts from the trap & not tripping it. DH thinks maybe chipmunks but I haven't seen any for a couple years.
Time to change DH's dressing & get back to the laundry. I washed the glass shelves & mirror in the china cabinet yesterday. DS brought a box of stuff up from the basement last night, so I can unpack that today. Some of it will go in the cabinet. I think that's the last box of things that were in the trailer. Now I can look into some other boxes that have been packed away for 20 years.

Hello, all LTMs, I have had one of "those" mornings. We have a dry wall guy here, fixing a place in the garage ceiling where the a/c drain pan overflowed after one of the mechanics serviced it & moved the line. I have been after DH for several YEARS to get it done (he told me he could do it himself. NOT!)& I finally insisted. It was far too big a job for DH to do himself, and he finally admitted that. I have been married to him for 63 years this month. I have concluded my DH is a hoarder! Not of stuff, but of papers, tax records, statements, etc. I have been complaining that every time I take a folder out of the bottom drawer of the file cabinet, the metal rod that holds those files up collapses. He went to a meeting late afternoon yesterday, and I decided to clean out that drawer. I have been shredding all morning. Why on God's green earth do we have income tax forms from 2004? And just about every year after that? Well, we don't any more! I think it's the banker or the accountant in him, but I have NO attachment to paper. Virtually everything I have is on line after the first statement. I like that one on paper so that I have all the right addresses. After that, PFFT, they are gone. We are alike in many things but apparently, not that. I insisted he spend the morning w/ me, going over all of it. We were both surprised at how little money we had lived on back in the day! OK, I think the last coat of mud is going on that ceiling. Time to pay the guy. Have a great day! Rose Marie

Marm, I'm guessing DH's friend's DW is in her 40's. I've never met her so don't know for sure. She was a nurse at one of the hospitals here so I'm assuming maybe that's where she got it.
Beautiful first day of Fall. Going to be in the 80's later. I've had a short walk and will have a longer walk when DH gets home. I was very pleased with my new PCP yesterday. I really liked both her and her nurse. My BP is normal and everything else checked out great. I was really relieved about my BP so I know that wasn't the cause of my eye problem so that just leaves my age and glaucoma as the cause. DH just walked in the door so gotta go....

Rose Marie, my DH was a paper saver, too, it it was the way we were brought up. One of the first things we bought as a married couple was a desk, and a bigger one as our life went on. I am still going through files and disposing of those I feel safe doing so. I don’t rely on the Internet keeping track of everything. I still like receiving paper statements, for fear that my computer might fail me, and I am not completely computer savvy.
This morning I went to Kohl’s. I looked through their closeout racks and found nothing, even though I had a 30% off coupon in my purse and $5 Kohl’s cash. Their petite department had nothing of interest to me. They want us to shop online nowadays and I’d rather see and touch what I’m buying first. I stopped at a Subway on the way home to buy a sub, my only purchase for the trip. It!s a beautiful day, presently 82* as I type. I wore summer capris, but most were wearing long pants, fall-like clothes. There’s plenty of time ahead for that. These temps should be with us all week. BBL to read.

Marlene*, I know you will be happy when all those class's is over. I know we would. Well we do have chipmunks. And they do take the goodies out of trap. Now if we caught most of them. Fat chance that is. I wish I could say I got more done here today. Me to. A load is still not in the washer. I'm running down.
Rose Marie, We have some paper. of things like your talking about. But not hoarding.. I try to go thru every winter. but I'm not like you. I won't have any of that on my computer. I do like a paper trail. I have a place I can go check out anything like that. And find it quickly.
Gareth*, Thank you, Keep in touch what you hear about the DH's Friends wife. Crazy about all this. I won't say more. but I do get angry. BP wasn't my problem w/my eye either.
Mary*, Kohls doesn't interest me that much anymore either. Like you, computer for paperwork is not my game. I will never trust it even if I was savvy. If my computer is down and I want to look for something I can find it.
I had my Blood work to get this morning. Then we went to get groc. Well I don't like going once a week. I'll take the going every few days days when pick up other things to. Crazy most the day doing that alone. And still a couple things stores didn't have. WM is deleting 2 shifts of stocker's because of complains. The one guy said he's worked for 19 yr.s. and not sure of a job Monday. I'm not sure of anything anymore. Our voting will be so fixed this time. Things can happen that has never happened before. What in the heck is going on? BBL~` Marm~~

Phyl, Yeah, I had a 30% last mo. and 20% now. I didn't go to spend it nor will I now. I think I'm living in the wrong time. I don't trust computers, And of course on line ordering, I won't do that either. Clothes and ect, Heck I remember seeing some things on the hanger. And didn't care for it. But trying on I loved it. the same w/things that I like and on? No way. I love to shop to much anyhow. Ha,ha.
G'nite~~Marm~~
