Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Maybe I’m in an every other night sleep pattern. I’ve been up since a little after 2. I tried the podcast, couldn’t lie still - I let it play twice, still no sleep. Tossed and turned, finally got out of bed at around 4:30. It’s going to be a long day.
Martha - we scan a lot of documents at the dealership. Right now the scanning software isn’t working right. I’m not sure if it’s the program or the server where the scanned documents are stored, but it takes way too long for the uploads to complete. Not good, we are falling behind again.
Ruth - hope your heartburn didn’t keep you up again last night. Did you try tums to see if that would help? I take Omeprazole every day for my acid reflux but I remember not feeling well when I had heartburn. I understand Stan not wanting to contact his dr, but he has to know something is going on. Tossing and turning is such a non-restful sleep.
Dottie - I haven’t had a BLT in years. I used to enjoy them, but made a mess cooking the bacon.
Tomorrow is trash day, making sure I have a full tote to take to the curb.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, sorry to hear about your restless night. I hope you can get in a better sleep pattern soon. I usually cook my bacon in the oven and it is not nearly as messy as when I cook it on the stove. My tomatoes are still good and if we don’t get a hard freeze I should get a few more.
Ruth, hope you are feeling better. I don’t think your symptoms are from Covid, they sound like you could have a little food poisoning. I agree that I have too many dishes/utensils in the kitchen. When I need/want a particular thing I have to hunt thru the drawer because of all of the extras. The news on Carol sounds somewhat good, sorry to hear that she has to continue the chemo and the problems it is causing her. Bill has Barrett’s Esophagus (a pre-cancerous condition), which is why he has to have an endoscopy every three years. He also has a hiatal hernia and has had problems with indigestion since I met him. Did you get rid of the cars yesterday?
Martha, waving and hope you are having a good day.
Another nice day but we sure could use some rain. Bill has a doctor appointment this morning. I plan on steaming the kitchen and entrance way floor while he is gone. I have the rugs in the washer already so I can put them outside to dry. I don’t like putting my rugs in the dryer, it seems to ruin the backing on them.

Good morning all. Joy, so sorry to hear you didn’t sleep well. I slept, but woke up a couple times and am still tired. May take a short nap later. My stomach feels some better today. I was able to sleep with no heartburn last night and woke with none. Waiting to see how it does after breakfast and after I take my morning meds. I think it was something I ate or took. I took Advil that night for the first time in a while and I’m thinking that may have been it! Joy, you asked about Tums. I take them multiple times a day. I use the generic Target brand ones. I also take Omeprazole (20 mg). I read that you can take up to 40 mg a day; so I took an extra one last night before bed. That may have helped.
Joy, it’s awful when you can’t get back to sleep. Sometimes I get up and read, but then the light on my iPad keeps me awake. I never turn on the room lights. I still have to try some of the meditation podcasts you mention. My only problem is, I don’t enjoy talk radio or audiobooks, but I’m going to look into it anyway.
Dottie, don’t even get me started about the cars. In answer to your question, no! Car#1 is to go Friday. Car#2 is to go the next weekend. But you and I both know how that goes!!! They have asked us to watch Mara the entire week after DIL’s birthday in October. They want a date night; and then they want to do some major house cleaning and getting rid of stuff. I have purchased one of those green bags for them for stuff that won’t fit in their garbage can and told them I’d pay to have it picked up if they’d fill it. And I’m hoping that they get me all the baby stuff so I can get it sold.
I finished the lighter blue hat last night. Debating a pompon on it or not. Not sure if Carol would want one. Starting on the purple one for Sawyer. Was thinking purple/black, but it’s too dark. The purple is a dark purple and i think it’s too much Dark with the black for a 7 year old.
Ok, need to get moving. I want to get a load of regular laundry, a load of sheets/towels, and maybe a load of bathroom rugs too. I’m with you Dottie, I prefer to put them out on the back deck railing to dry; dryer is hard on rugs. Can’t do that in the winter; but I do “air dry” them only in the dryer and then put them on chair backs to finish drying.
Will check in later.

I think the lousy sleep is contagious! I toss/turn for about 3 hrs. Then got up and went to recliner in spare room. DH woke me up at 5:30. Made it out the door on time, barely.
We just about licked the platter clean last night with the steak fajitas. Tonight we are having Shakshouka. It's a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion and garlic, and commonly spiced with cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, and nutmeg.
It rained last night so a comfort meal seems appropriate.
I brought leftover veggie stew for my lunch today.
Hugs to all~
