diva49, good morning. I'm sorry there is always more "stuff" to deal with concerning Russ. Don't let it get you and Toots down. The rain is moving out of Houston and we had a little over 6". Not bad but I'm glad it's finished. DH has a dental appointment today but otherwise, not much else is going on. HEY, MIKE, GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS! IT'S HUMP AND AND WE'RE MISSING YOU!!

Is it possible to consolidate a lot of the accounts to streamline things MJ? Glad the rain wasn't too terrible Linda I'm in, planned and tracked. Not much going on which is not a bad thing.

Cloudy but no rain. It's 74 degrees at 10:30 in the morning, that's lower than we've had in months

Happy Hump DAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
So it has been a crazy few days. It always seems like it's something.
I told you all my daughter's biological grandfather passed away on the 11th. Well her cousin (first cousin once removed) passed away unexpectidly on the 18th. He was only 15. I don't have any details on what happened, but I do know he was at home. He did have A LOT of health issues (epilepsiy, lupus, kidney failure because of the lupus). He had been in and out of the hospital pretty much all of this year and was just realeased around September 8 or 9 after another infection. His funeral in on the 28th and the family is burying his great-grand father's cremains with him. It was a total punch in the gut. I can't imagine the pain a prarent goes through when they lose a child. We will be heading to Michigan on Sunday because I am in a wedding on Saturday.
The weather here is warm and dry and the farmers are out in the fields harvesting. It's kicking up A LOT of dust so my alleriges are going nuts!
Oh, and our state went to level 5 of being open (starting on the 26th). Basically no restriction in size of gatherings, but still social distance and wear a mask. Here's to hoping the numbers stay low (last I heard I thought Indiana was a hot spot). But, what do I know!
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

Is it possible to consolidate a lot of the accounts to streamline things MJ? We've cancelled one checking account, one savings account, and three credit cards so far. There are now two credit cards (one for "regular monthly expenses" and one for his liquor) and one checking account. The short-term goal is to identify all the various annuities and insurance policies, and perhaps to get the big investment account distribution increased to actually cover his basic "rent" for assisted living (right now we're running at a $3000/month deficit). The long-term goal is - as you suggest - to get things streamlined so that we're not constantly getting little surprises dropped in our mailbox. Hope the RussStuff ends quickly. Toots (which means Mj) is handling Russ' financial stuff for the rest of Russ' stay at Cedar Crest (NOTE: either his demise ends it, or he gets thrown out of the complex; if he gets evicted, he gets everything back [neatly organized] to take care of on his own). But the mystery and drama need to end sooner rather than later.

Realized the day is almost over. It’s been quiet and tracking, as well as hydrating have taken place, and I’m smiling as I walk around the house. Looking forward to a good night’s sleep. I will check in in the morning.
