I'm loving these warmer temps we've been having. Fall weather is coming soon enough with cooler temps followed by freezing temps. We're getting the Japanese beetles along with box elders. That's the worst part of this time of the year.
I went to WM as soon as I got up. Waiting now for DH to get home and walk.

My morning has been busy but kind of slow moving. I started the day with my coffee & baking muffins. You can't beat bakery fresh out of the oven with your morning coffee!
After I changed DH's dressing I called Linda. She didn't know we had left the campground so we had some catching up to do.
Next I was ready to get to work - if you can call sorting through boxes of stuff work. I think all the boxes from the trailer are now unpacked & I have gone through a couple boxes that are of stuff from the house that I packed away 20 years ago. Lots of good memories as I went through those boxes. I have sorted items according to being able to use now or display, tossing, or re-packing to take to GW. GW will definitely get some of it. I can almost see how clean & organized the basement will look when I'm done. When I actually am done, it will be a major accomplishment.
Class went pretty good yesterday. We covered quite a bit of new information & had time for lots of questions & discussion on what the future might look like. At one point both DH & I were starting to doze off. Mid afternoon is our usual time for a short nap. DH got the largest amount of solution yesterday that he has had so far - 2000cc. He tolerates that real well which is good. He started the dialysis procedure pretty much on his own, with the nurse just observing, & did real well. Friday I get to start it. That may prove interesting because I haven't paid real close attention thinking DH would always do that on his own, but as I was told, in case DH can't I will have to know how. Friday we are also scheduled to meet with the dietician. I am looking forward to that.
I don't remember if anyone asked me any questions & I'm afraid I will lose this if I go back to check now. I'll come back later if I find any.

Hello, all LTMs,
Marlene, sorting through boxes is definitely work! So is purging cabinets in a garage. Everything from pool chemicals to paint & caulking, to lawn mower and shrub trimmer oil. The house is PAINTED! We only need a bit of each paint to touch up. Why do we have GALLONS of paint in the cabinet??? DH no longer cuts the grass. Why do we need all that trimmer stuff? Some is for trimmers he hasn't had in years! We had wiring for lights that we got rid of years ago, multi plugs that we stopped using when we stopped doing outside Christmas decorating a few years back, etc. Now, did I have anything? You bet. No woman needs 3 dust mops, or 3 brooms, or TWO beach umbrellas, or EIGHT beach chairs, or TWO unused boogie boards. I am not the boogie board type! We made one trip to the recycling, 4 bags to GW, and will have more tomorrow when we tackle the attic. I am in a purging mood!!! DH has complained that he has nothing to do now that he isn't cutting the lawn every 3 days. THAT was not his complaint today!
I have pasta sauce w. ground turkey simmering on the stove. I do make my own, no sugar, limited salt, lots of basil, oregano, parsley, onion & minced fresh garlic. I hope it tastes as good as it smells!
Gareth, we have had some cooler mornings, 72* this morning when we walked. Great weather for that, w/ warmer temps in the PM.
Have a great day, everyone!

Good (late) afternoon! Another nice fall, summer-like day in the low 80’s I think. After washing my sheets this morning, I went out to the bank to cash a couple of checks and then to Aldi’s for a few things. I drink skim milk daily, but not gallons, so I prefer to buy half gallons. But it’s often the milk I need that sends me to the store so often. But, those gallon jugs are so large and heavy so would rather go more often.
Rose Marie, we sold our last house about 22 years ago. Garages and basements are a necessity if you are in one. I remember well having to rid ourselves of those things mentioned. What family or friends didn’t want made for a nice garage sale for us. We were lucky that a friend offered to take much of what wasn’t sold (for his own future sale I think) but it helped us out greatly. That was when we moved into our first senior cooperative. However wherever we’ve lived we continue to gather things, for which I need to go through sometime soon. It doesn’t end. It’s just different types of things I gather now.
Marlene, it sounds like you’ll soon be on your own with DH’s dialysis. It will go well for you I’m sure. And soon you’ll have all those boxes unpacked and sorted. Each unit here has a separate storage unit in the building. Ours is one of the larger ones and it is fuller than necessary. One thing to go to GW soon is my Christmas tree. Last year I just lighted my Norfolk Island Pine tree/plant and I’ll do the same this year. That means I don’t need the boxes of decorations either. That will free up a little space. BBL to read. Phyl, I hope you are feeling better.

Gareth*, Oh, I guess I missed those bugs. Must look because if we have beetles. Nice weather But now liking everything is getting to look dirty. I'm still at a race to finish things in time.
Marlene*, Yep all that is work going thru boxes. And something that feels good when its over. Good to hear that things is going smoother now w/the class's. No doubt you will know how to work DH's machine to. You know how well he did. You will know for sure.
Rose Marie*, Yeah getting at those things needs to be. Paint will be saved here for the next ones. In case they need it. Of course we still do anyhow. I make my own Speg. Sauce to.
Mary*, Something neither of us drink much of is milk. Nor did we when kids. Much better now than at that time. I think when I got to like some is when WWer. As Skim milk. Young it was whole milk. I think that's what I don't like.
Been a good day. We finally did get this trellis squared up. The best its ever looked. I also relayed the brick. I Was surprised I had a layer under the one. Now there is a ramp for DH, so he doesn't need to step up. I feel good about that. Now to make a Ramp here at the deck to. Already bricks laid at the foot of the steps--Need that Ramp from them... Tomorrow we have an early run and also to friends for flower pots, So I will will be repotting the tree. Wait for the rest.
BBL~~ Marm~`
