Hello Crafters Sue - I'm so sorry you can't get help from hospice right now. I hope some of the suggestions from the social worker will work for you. I understand about not wanting people in your house right now. Ginny - Hope you enjoyed your walk and church today and that you can get back to working on your panel quilt. I'm glad you were able to fix the problem. Ruth - The viking hats sounds so cute, I bet the little boys will love them. There are so many different color combinations with the pineapple quilt block and it really makes a difference to how the quilt looks. Here's a video of one done in red, white and blue fabrics using the Creative Grids ruler. I love the finished block. You can fast forward to the end if you don't care about seeing the process, but take a look at the final block: www.youtube.com/watch?v=exTk5rPeiyUI have a picture somewhere on my computer (can't find it right now) of a pineapple block quilt in purple and white and that is what I'd like to try to make. Here's a few pictures of Disappearing Nine Patch quilts, there are lots of ways to layout this quilt too. (sorry for the one blurry picture, but I liked her fabrics and layout). It's nice weather here today. I'm doing things around the house but hoping to start working on my yellow quilt blocks. Take care everyone.

Ruth, well this will be a busy week for you- getting the water heater issue straightened out and all your gifts wrapped and packed for mailing.. Donβt know how you get so much done. Will that beautiful cross afghan be in this package??
CJ- I really really like the youtube and the red-blue-white pineapple quilt. The fabric selection was lovely....thanks for sharing that link and the pictures. I can see why you like the disappearing 9 patch layout- and feel confident that you will come up with perfect fabrics for yours at the right time. Purple and white sounds really nice..looking forward to seeing the quilt when you get started.
Got the corner blocks done on my panel quilt and have fixed the mistake....now time to work on the borders. DGD will be here for a little while tomorrow am, so I better put it away. She is so comfortable being here that it will be challenging to keep her from my sewing room.
Yikes. Monday is right around the corner. Ginny

Besides the water heater return, helping dh install the new one I also have to go get my driver's license renewed and also....at a different location...my title for my car updated. I thought they did that already but not so.Oh and then we will probably go for a grocery curbside pickup but that might be while we're exchanging the water heater. Seems like there was something else but I don't remember right now Ginny, I'm glad to hear that you got the mistake in the quilt taken care of. Yes it's hard to keep small children who feel at home in your home, out of certain rooms. Yes the Cross afgan will be in one of the boxes. CJ, thank you for the info and the link. I love looking at them as I have said and will say again

Well I bit the bullet and sewed the horns on one of the hats. One down, two to go.
