lani, Can't think of anything to say because I'm superstitious about counting chickens before they hatch. I cringe at every article that says how much Biden is ahead and how bad Trump is doing. People misread it in 2016 and that sticks with me. Only thing is this year, if Biden does win there is the worry about how Trump will take it, and even if he does go along with a Biden win what will he do during the "lame duck" period to mess things up. As for Trump winning, I'm not thinking ahead. I will take it one day at a time. I will say if he does win a lot of people will be organizing, and there might be more protests, and the start of the 2024 presidential race will be on November 4th. All I can give you is hugs.

republicans almost always make sure they register, so don't worry. it's our side we need to worry about. too much apathy and understandable wariness of the process. we know we're suppressed. the key is getting people out there despite it. and they are. we have 10 hour long lines around the country because we're ready to take back our country from king combover and his weird minions.

DotRen, I saw that a couple of days ago - the Hitler caption under the Trump vid. But I hadn't seen Kimmel's comment before. finreporter, I did see on the news a young woman in line to vote; she was a first time voter and voting for Biden. May the young ones show up, please.

From a friend: Pennsylvania Capital-Star: “A roadside billboard in Fayette County repeating a Republican accusation that Democratic nominee presidential Joe Biden suffers from diminished mental capacity has a deficiency of its own: A whopper of a spelling error.”“’Biden’s dimensia is worsening, he is not fit,’ the billboard reads, misspelling ‘dementia.'” This is a picture of the billboard: www.penncapital-star.com/blog/swpa-billboard-accusing-biden-of-dementia-misspells-dementia/

guys i'm just going to stop posting on this forum for now. i just read itsrad's locked thread above and noticed a lot of posts are now deleted.
to say if these rules "continue to get broken" when i wasn't aware there were rules i was breaking is strange. so i will just post about my daily food or whatever bland topic and just call it a day.
you guys have been completely amazing though and i've had a lot of fun commiserating with you all!
love you all to pieces.
editing to add, i do realize that this is not my house not my rules, so i will keep my politics out of their house.

Over 40 million Americans have voted so far -that's outstanding! We're planning on early voting Friday. So far no "scuffles" at the polling places, so I hope it stays calm.

Obama' speech was a delight. Ladies, you can always come to the dark side at newgdt.proboards.com where the boards are private and the women are nasty. I am so tired of reading right wing editorials saying how stupid people are to vote against you-know-who simply because they dislike his "personality". No, I dislike his incompetence, lying, corruption, bigotry, and policies. His personality is just the icing on his sh*t cake. P.S. Sorry for "political ugliness" but it's hard to "be kind" when someone is actively trying to kill you. I'm just sayin'.

That was a much more listenable debate, but DT still tried to steer it off course a lot. I do give him 1 point: the discussion about minimum wage. He had a point that the cost of living varies from state to state, and the states should set the mw, not the federal government. I tend to agree with that BUT it still should not be less than $10 anywhere. I can't imagine my college educated son trying to live on his own, much less support a family, on the $10 an hour he makes.

McConnell says 'no concerns' despite visible bandages and bruisesWow the bruises look pretty serious, especially on his hands. The caption under the photo is pretty ironic though (I do hope he's ok - but the caption is unfortunately funny) : "Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell speaks during a news conference following the weekly Senate Republican policy luncheon on Capitol Hill on October 20, 2020."
