DotRen, yow, that looks bad (McConnell). Another Republican for transparency. I'm all for health privacy, but I think you have an obligation to disclose if you're an elected official. I think not explaining backfires; then the public can imagine all sorts of dire scenarios. No more debates! Thank God. Now all we have to worry about is voter suppression and bogus legal challenges. Will it ever end?

lani, I agree. If someone is in a public office, I think "we" should know if there's something wrong. Judging by the intensity of his bruising, I'd guess he's on blood thinners (not a big deal), but his hands look just awful. He must have fallen and banged his hands up trying to catch himself. But why not just say "I stumbled and fell" instead of being so secretive? (even if he didn't fall, just say that lol -it's not like politicians don't ever lie..)

Staffers around Pence testing positive. He is carrying on campaigning under some idea of him being "essential". I am so tired of this year. D'uh.
Hah. I was watching some CNN reporter covering a Trump rally and the music blasting in the background was Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight". "I can feel it comin' in the air tonight, hold on..." Me too, it's called Covid-19.

I don't know why he'd act any different than his boss. Neither of them seem to think passing covid to others is "bothersome" to them.

A policeman in Brooklyn has been suspended. Last night he got on his car's PA system and told people to vote for Trump. Unfortunately for him people recorded his car number and the audio on their phone and posted it on social media. The Police Commissioner said the behavior was unacceptable.

Just saw an article: Putin says he sees nothing criminal in Hunter Biden's actions, re Trump accusations. Getting ready for a new sheriff in town?

lani , I saw the same article and thought the exact same thing. I wonder what T thought about Vlad's comments? My absentee ballot was finally recorded after an entire week of status: Pending. My spouse and I dropped our ballots in the same box, one after the other, on the very same day. There were two poll peeps and one security guard. Tracking showed the vote was recorded for my spouse the very next day but, mine took an entire week. I thought, oh here we go with the PA bull. At least we have voter-line dancing here! lol

doordie50, In Connecticut the absentee ballots aren't counted until after the polls close on election day. Both of our absentee ballots show up as being received on the State's absentee-ballot look-up website.

bbbearsmom, that makes no sense, you know? If they have it in hand, they should count it now.

A lot of states do not start counting the in-person early votes as well as the absentee ones till election day. Seems like they could start right away. Are they trying to make it more difficult for themselves? DotRen, cross posted. Great minds...

I requested my mail-in ballot over a month ago and have never gotten it. I'm glad I didn't wait for it.
