DebDoesWWWhen I talked to the agent on Friday at the 800 number she said Life Time Members would have an Automatic Lifetime Voucher Account online, something new, and our weight would be recorded there at a studio but I don't think she knew where else we'd be able to record our weight at this time. So this would fit into the personal voucher to weigh in at a place of business to record our weights if we don't have a studio in our hometown. She did give me two more free months, November and December so whatever is happening is coming soon. She said it's hard to keep up as something new is going on everyday.

Thanks for posting their 3rd Quarter Service Call. I read WW transcript. It was really an eye opener.
From what I got from it, physical meetings WW they don't make any money on it. In the transcript, they are still going to have the physical meetings open, but when their rental agreements are coming to be renewed, I think they are going to start closing down these studios. Even though, WW were still optimistic about the physical studio experience, I think they are going to move to Virtual. The problem with the physical meeting is the whole dynamic. It isn't one on one. WW, to me, seems to be a company that wants the member to have the one on one experience. That is what the "millennial" wants. And the "millennial" is their new customer and that is whom they are basing their business model on. If you are not, then either you go along or go to another platform. I really think WW is doing disservice to all their members. By focusing on one group and not all is bad for business.
Yes, they are going to have myWW+. According to what what said, it is more interactive. About the food, there is going to be a "new" questionnaire. I don't understand why they have to have a new questionnaire?
As for the millennials, they are going to a WW 360. There is going to be a new "coach", you can have more of an experience with. Of course, from what I got, you are going to have pay more for this service. What I don't understand is when they had coaching you could only have 15 mins. But, this new WW 360, you get to have a meeting on Zoom. But, they don't say how long. I can tell you this. I did coaching, and it was bad. The 15 mins was not enough time. You need like 30 mins or 45 mins with your coach to figure out what you need. If WW 360 is longer, that is great, but if it is like the 15 mins of the old coaching then they are shooting themselves in the foot.
From their profits, they see the profits are from digital, and digital + virtual. The meetings don't make much money. They have put meetings in hotels, which I think is a really good idea. I use to go to my meeting in a church. But, the problem is if WW view physical meetings as a liability, then at the end of the day they will end them.
What WW wants is to do Virtual Meetings under what you want. Instead of where you live, they want to do it like what your interests. WW, already said they created an group for African Americans (Black People). I think that it would be a good thing for interests instead of location because at least you have people like you.
I noticed in the transcript was they never talked about what really what WW was all about. They kept saying it was about food, lifestyle, exercise, and sleep. But, what WW was all about was support. It was about you are not alone. That is why Jean Niditch was so successful. She a group of woman come to her house and support themselves to lose weight. And in that support, they talked about their trials and tribulations. But, the new WW doesn't that think that it is about support. It wants to think it is about trendy apps, and cool technology. But, that isn't the magic of WW. The magic of WW is its people. And they don't see that.

...at least the Weight Watchers I knew, the Jean Nidetch theory of Weight loss is forever gone.
I am 67. Starting going to meetings when I was 13. Back in the day, I belonged to groups that had all age ranges crammed together in one room. We shared. We learned from each other, no matter if our hair was silver or black. WW+ will reflect our current culture. Sadly, the Wight Watchers many of us grew up loving, is long dead.
I finally had the courage to leave a year ago. I should have done it years sooner, but I kept holding on. I low carb now with great success..
I hope those of you who remain with Weight Watchers find the success...and most important, the support that I feel is gone forever. We live in an era that is dying in so many ways, taking all the good, and leaving a shell of its former self.
God bless you all.

I did a Virtual Workshop last night and the leader there was there for the last month. I really like my group, but the problem I have if Weight Watchers are hiring these "leaders" with college degrees with nutrition and health to run these "new" meetings, there goes my leader! The whole point of Weight Watchers was people in the same boat helping people with the same issues!
I can see if they are hiring these college degree people to be coaches. That makes sense to me, but to fire the leaders because they don't have college degrees to run the meeting is ridiculous.

I did one virtual back in the Spring and really didn't care for it. There were THREE leaders (one being mine) due to the fact that a bunch of meetings had been grouped together. It really felt disconnected to me. I never did another.
It would be nice if they'd just film someone doing a meeting with the week's topic and have it available to members to watch on their own time. I know that would mean no questions or interaction....but it would still be something.

Just watched a short 1:30 min news report about WW 3rd quarter. Even though there was no mention on myww+ the commenter mentioned their profits are from digital and not from brick and mortar store aka retail. But, the problem was we had COVID!! How could they make a fair assessment of their studios when we had COVID!!! I think Mindy in her mind wanted to get rid of our meetings to begin with.
When I went to Oprah 2020, in Charlotte NC, Mindy showed up. And they told us what WW plan they were on. Mindy was on the blue plan. No wonder we had freestyle forever when they got rid of SmartPoints!!! Mindy thought it was better! So if Mindy likes it, she won't listen to reason. By the way, Oprah was on the Green Plan!!
Mindy is the death of meetings. She only see profits. If digital is the only way, then she will get rid of the meetings, I got a feeling! It is all about profits for Mindy! Not about the members!!
By the way they got back the SmartPoints because people hate freestyle! So she had to listen!! Jen D

Definitely this ^ I would love that and have no clue why they haven't made a weekly "taped" meeting available on the my day page for years now. They are really missing the boat on this one.

I've never done another one.

I love the virtual meetings but then I only join the Top Coach Virtual Meetings. I have been on many virtual meetings that were terrible with rude interruptions from members to poor coach presentations, this is why I only do Top Coach Meetings! I agree on a recorded meeting we'd have access to each weeks topic, wondering why this hasn't been done?

I've liked my virtual meetings but I also happen to like the two coaches I've had, although compared to in-person meetings they are not as good.

My local in-person workshop was been closed permanently and local virtual cancelled a few weeks ago. This morning I was looking at the updated WW specials that they run weekly, when I checked the price for my zip code the price has gone up to $48.95 from the $44.95 that it has been for years. This is the price for the 6 month subscription after the first month that is free. The closest in-person workshop is 68 miles away so I checked their zip code for pricing and they are still being charged $44.95 after the first free month. So I am wondering if WW is going to start charging more for people that are using the virtual workshops only due to not having in-person studios available.

sawtexI would suggest that you call the 800-651-6000 number which is what I do, I have gotten three free months by doing this. I'm in the same situation you are as both my studio meetings and virtual were closed a while back and I have no place to weigh in. I can't drive out of town because of age. I am Lifetime over goal so have been given the months of October, November and December free because I called! There is a long wait time to get an agent but I just put my phone on speaker while I do other things or call early or later in the day. Do call and talk to an agent to get some help!

Update on my meeting here. As I mentioned previously, my Coach had one of the highest attendances in the State the whole time we did Virtuals, and it was because of that we were assured that when we are out of lockdown, our workshop will resume face to face meetings with her, but she would be stood down for current virtual meeting.
A couple of days ago, my Coach posted an odd comment on Facebook. She said she had returned the keys to our old venue and it was emotional and sad for her. I asked openly if we were returning to our old venue and simply re-locating and if she would continue to be our Coach.
She only answered one part of my question and that was we were not returning to our old venue. So I private messaged her and asked outright. I know she has viewed the msg, but has not replied.
I can only assume she will not be returning to face to face meetings as promised.
Such a shame. In my 20 year membership with WW, she was by far the best Coach/Leader I ever had and her meetings always well attended.
Like I’ve said before....if she goes, I go....and this time there will be no going back.
