We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 41 five-month challenges, including the one we finished July 1, 2020. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started July 1, 2020, is "250 Miles by Dec 1, 2020.”
You are welcome to join us at any time.

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my green zone of pts, HEZ, blue dot. I did 1/2 of my microhabits “no seconds with evening snack.”
Yesterday we walked 2 mi and saw either two bald eagles, or one going back and forth. We figure it’s focused on those salmon that are congregated in one spot.
Trick or Treat was nice. We had only 5 kids from one family so there are leftovers for DH. I set up a table and signs where they were supposed to stop and ring our wind chimes so I could bring out the treats on a tray. The littler ones ran past the table to the door, but we all regrouped at the table. They were so cute 😜🎃😍 I did not eat candy and I’ve put the leftovers in a bag on a pantry shelf I rarely need to look at next to DHs snacks. I didn’t feel much interest in the candy, but I did have an urge for skinny pop, but that’s often how it starts the roller coaster. This time I chose to let it go. One day at a time. I know the longer I go without that stuff the less I crave it.
DGDs FaceTimed me and were so excited and so adorable - DGD1 was “Sally” from “Nightmare Before Christmas” but with a twist - Sally as a Chef. DGD2 was a witch. DD & DSIL were also costumed. Their other grandparents were coming over for a Halloween party with just them. It looks like it was great fun 🤩
This am I measured my height. I used to be 5’9”1/2 but now I’m about 5’7” I figure with the bone and muscle loss my weight is healthier if it’s lower in the range for 5’7”. But I’ll just keep doing as well as I can to stay in my healthy eating zone and see where I end up.
CAROL - your rollercoaster analogy has stuck with me and is helping. I really don’t want to get back on it!
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning !!
Sorry to be MIA. Looks like my post from Wednesday didn't post. I was off Thursday and Friday. I hardly did any walking or any type of exercise. I spent the whole time relaxing with the DH. His 65th Birthday was on Friday!! My eating was not OP and I did not track most days. Back on track today. Detox the body from the Fats and sweets that it does not get on a daily basis.
Cait: Thanks for getting us started for the month of November.
Carol: It got cold enough for me to finally turn on the Furnace but should be able to turn back off for a few days. It got in the 30's overnight so definitely needed it.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

It's Election Day Eve! (MONDAY!) I guess I didn't actually post yesterday, although I wrote an entry CAIT -- your Halloween idea was great! We had lots of cleverness in our neighborhood, too, but we just stuck a bowl out. I think some bigger kids came along about 9:00 and just emptied it. Oh, well, fine by me! KELLY -- HBD to your DH! Good job getting back on track today. I walked 2 miles yesterday, and I stretched. Did the same today, so it looks like I'm on track to meet the goals! 234/250 miles 61/75 stretching Stretching: 2018: 141; 2019: 192 2020: Jan:14; Feb:16; Mar:16; Apr:15; May:16; June:14; July:16; Aug:11; Sept:15; Oct:17; Nov: 2/30

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, went above my red zone of pts. I ate DHs snacks and Halloween candy in the evening and stayed up late reading. I did not do my 2 microhabits.
Yesterday we walked 2 mi and had some nice deck time. I got to have a FaceTime chat with DD2 😍.
This am was a 4-burner morning on the stove, making oatmeal, tea, a huge pot of curry soup and black eye peas. The curry soup came out great! It’ll last at least a week 🤪
KELLY - belated happy birthday wishes for your DH! Glad you two could enjoy it. GFY back on track with healthy eating after the splurge.
CAROL - GFY with the miles and stretching. I never doubted you’d make the 250! 🤗
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning!!
I added 2 miles but did not make my 9000 steps. Tracked my food.
Cait: I am sure you got yourself right back OP yesterday. I love soup. I made a Chicken pumpkin soup over the weekend for my lunches. Good job on your miles.
Carol: Great job on your miles and stretching. I knew you would make your goal.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, green zone of pts, HEZ, blue dot. I did both of my 2 microhabits - “50 pushaways” and “no seconds with snack.”
Yesterday we walked 2 mi. Last week 12 mi. Month of Oct 61 mi.
KELLY - GFY with the 2 mi. wow chicken pumpkin soup sounds weirdly good. I keep intending to use more pumpkin. I’m surprised your DH would like it.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Hello! Look who's dropped in out of the blue? May I join in again? I was going to wait until next month with the new challenge but missed checking in with you all so thought I could just have a November goal of 60 miles and then hop in at beginning of next challenge?
I hope all are well in these trying and scary times!
