I use some of the techniques that I learned from Beck - thanks again Judy bbbearsmom for sharing her book and techniques for all these years. I first learned about her from you on the old WW message boards. Keeping my reasons for wanting to stay at goal foremost in my mind is probably the most useful to me, as well as dealing with sabotaging thoughts and understanding that hunger is not an emergency. I agree that these are behavioral and thinking techniques that amount to having will power. I've really learned that without actual tools such as these, will power is just a sort of nebulous idea, at least for me.

susan092907, I have to make things easier to do the right thing, also I need to be prepared for the sabotaging thoughts.

bbbearsmom, Great work on getting exercise done this week! I was very motivated to get outdoor exercise this week by the beautiful warm and sunny weather early in the week, plus I had a day off from work for Veteran's Day. Sunday - walked 5 miles Monday - walked 3 miles Wednesday - ran 3 miles Saturday (today) - ran 5 miles No weights training - still waiting for pulled muscle to heal.
