Enjoying this holiday at home. Of course I'll be making cards and need to do some decluttering. My son's room will be painted next week so I need to make room in the guest room and downstairs for his things. I'm really struggling with my eating so I'm going to sit in on a extra virtual meeting today. Carol, I also made an omelet today.

Carol: so sorry I am MIA lately. Work has been so busy with an emergency discharge and an out of state discharge. I am so happy it is Friday and Monday and Tuesday I'm attending a virtual conf from home so I won't have to take that 50 min drive each way.
Will post tomorrow's list in the morning. It's 7:20 pm and I still have said hi to DH or eaten dinner. I know that tomorrow I am getting my hair done.

Hi, Cathy! You were wise to get your hair done now...I have an appt. in 2 weeks but it's possible there could be a shutdown in my region by then. What I really will need is color, I can go without a cut for awhile but I didn't have a lot of success with DIY coloring. Also, you remind me I need to have a plan for Thanksgiving dinner.

Carol: color is the main reason I go. She gives me a little trim but I can live with my hair being long since it is naturally curly and it looks shorter than it really is. However, because it is naturally curly (very curly) I can't color it myself plus my hair is dark brown and she has been able to make me a blond with lovely highlights for several years (it's the only way to hide the gray with my color hair). Plus I really do look younger with this color hair. I don't care about my age but since I started my career at 59, it has helped to fight ageism.
