I give myself credit for attending my virtual WW meeting, tracking, weighing and measuring, keeping up with my online support groups, doing my meditation, and working through an overeating situation. I give gratitude that my husband and I are still healthy.

I tracked all week and stayed within my calorie limits. I exercised 4/7 days.

Do you care about your fat/muscle ratios?

I am aware that there is a optimal fat/muscle ratio but I don't do anything to achieve it. I pretty much spent my energy getting to goal and haven't pursued other healthy goals besides maintaining my weight.

Fat/muscle ratio? No I don't care. Like you, bbbearsmom, I spend lots of energy staying below my weight goal and trying to keep to an exercise schedule. I do however think it's important to have strong muscles and that's why I do strength training. But I'm not very detail oriented about it. I do my workouts - sometimes - and I feel and look stronger. That's good enough for me. The only ratios that I do sometimes care about are measures of abdominal fat. So I know that waist:hip ratio for women should be less than 0.85, and also waist:height ratio should be less than 0.5. Although I'm well within my healthy BMI range and I'm now currently weighing in the middle of the WW free Lifetime range, I'm high on both of these ratios. For that reason I sometimes think I should get my weight down lower than it is until I lose the abdominal fat. But then most times I don't think about that too much either, because it's such an effort to maintain just where I am now. But now that I think about it, I guess the ratios I talked about are probably another way of talking about fat:muscle ratio. So maybe I do care about that to some extent.

My weekly goals are to attend my WW virtual meeting next Monday, track, weigh and measure, keep up with my online support groups and meditate. My me-time is my puzzle, computer, reading, and meditation time.

I'm trying to focus on habits instead of goals. I'm going to work on getting out of the kitchen after I clean up from dinner and close it up for the day. I've been overeating a lot at night when I stay in there spending time on my computer.

How much do you like to be below your WW goal? How often do you weigh in? Does your weight vary week to week?

I like to be below my goal weight by a pound or two or three. Lately with weighing in with my shoes on I'm getting close to my goal weight. I weigh in every morning at home and record it in my planner by my computer. For WW I weigh in about 5:30 p.m. on a Monday evening. I'm doing it at home now because of the virus. I wear my shoes because I went to two in-person meetings and we had to wear our shoes when we weighed in there. My weight does vary week to week. The biggest difference lately was a 1.9 pound gain on a Monday evening weigh-in.

What are your plans for handling food/drink on Thanksgiving? Did the situation with COVID change your plans with your family and friends?

We have the same meal every year so I know how much to eat from year to year. We eat around four in the afternoon so I make a salad in the morning to have to eat about eight in the evening when I start to get hungry. It is usually just my husband and myself so we didn't need to change any plans because of the virus.
