Happy Tuesday, Day two of my two day virtual conference. I loved making cards while attending a conference and glad the speakers were interesting. Today I need to help DS move stuff out of his room during my breaks so the work can be done this work on the water damage and the room painted. He has lots and lots of stuff so it is going to be very difficult. I am excited because a new NCIS is finally on tonight (it's the little things these days). This week I go in to the hospital for 3 days then I get a week off. Looking forward to decorating early this year. Tuesday possibilities Conference Help DS move things out of his room Make pork tacos (the pork roast was great) Start Christmas cards Track all food (I've gained back some of my weight so I need to get motivated again) Wash towels Pack breakfast and lunch for tomorrow Evening routine

Good Morning! I'm sort of on hold, waiting for the HVAC guy to call to let me know when he'll start working on my heating system at Old House. It was supposed to be "Wednesday or Thursday". I will need to be there let him in but then probably will go elsewhere part of the day, as he will have to shut off the main water supply for awhile as he works on the system. Another lesson in patience, LOL!
Thursday possibilities: --abs β

Carol: I hate all the waiting for repairs. They're going to start fixing the water damage and painting DS's room tomorrow. I hope it really only takes 2 days. DH and I are on vacation next week so I would like to be able to just sit around in my jammies as late as I want.
Thursday possibilities Water plants Throw in a load of clothes Make lunch and breakfast for work Rearrange some things in DS's room (he didn't leave enough room for them to do the ceiling. Evening routine

Happy start of my week vacation! I am so happy to be on vacation, especially since I only have to use 3 vacation days since Thursday and Friday are State holidays. I always try and take advantage of scheduling my vacation around holidays. I'm going to try and have a balance of decluttering, taking rides with DH, and relaxing at home. Our Thanksgiving dinner is always just the three of us so no change there and if I don't feel like cooking it on Thursday then I do it on Friday. Weekend possibilities Go with DH to get new battery Grocery shop (may wait till Monday) Finish Christmas card to send to England on Monday Declutter x15 Start pile for trip to dump Make birthday card and send to friend Hang up laundry Make quiche Church online Devotion Virtual WW meeting Evening routine

Cathy - enjoy your time off! I used to combine vacations with holidays as well, when I was working FT.
Yesterday was action-packed for me. I drove over to Old House early a.m. where the furnace repairman finally started working to repair the leak from 2-3 months ago! This was a relief, as I've had part of the water system shut down all this time but there was still a slight leak, water (and $$) going down the drain in the basement. Plus, the furnace was off and it has been getting colder! While furnace man was repairing pipes in the basement, I Zoomed my Tap dance class using my phone, as there is no wifi at Old House. Then Furnace man had to go through the whole house to check and bleed the radiators in all the rooms, which meant moving some furniture and plants, so I took the opportunity to dust/wipe-down/sweep the areas near all the radiators. Things look a lot cleaner now without dust, dead leaves and cobwebs, LOL! I did some more decluttering as I went through the rooms. In the afternoon, my neighbor had a guy with a mobile sawmill setup come over to saw the logs harvested from the old walnut tree that was recently cut down by the city. I went outside to watch and got a chance to operate the log loader! My neighbor is going to store the boards to season them so that we can have some items crafted from them in the future.

Cathy - I like what you said about being flexible about when you make your special meal...the date is arbitrary, the attitude of gratitude is what counts, right?
